Mandy was left to meditate only in her room. In weekends most of the students went to the central city, so her surroundings was peaceful. Good thing their rooms was separated to each other so no one will bother her. She still figure out how meditate will help her became stronger, it was as if it doesn't help her a little bit. She thought maybe she did it in a wrong way.
"Ahhhh! It doesn't work out" she was frustrated and Her mind was too occupied to things might happen to her. Also her legs was burning, like ants crawling in her. "Oh! Darn it! How can I do this right when sitting permanently will cause something like this"
Maybe I won't need this. She stormed out the room and head to their training room. Luckily, there's no one inside of the room.
'Might practice my endurance than just sitting there' she started to stretch to ready her activities to do. She faced a dummy, which was standing stiffly infront of her. She started to kick and punch the target continuesly, adrenaline from the activity rushed through her as sweat coming out from her body.
'This is more like it, not just training it was also a good exercise. Its been so long that I've done this' Mandy could only thought on her old days when she was in the human realm. The dummy was unscratch as if it was immune to her attacks, but she still continue her activity.
"You're a good fighter, well not that professional but still acceptable." it was Drake, who was shirtless infront of her. It made Mandy to look away, he was too attractive. How can he have that perfect body and flaunt it to her.
"Have you been there all this time? Why haven't I noticed you?"
"Well most likely yes, I was having my rest when you started punching that thing. Well you're not too bad afterall"
Mandy don't know how to recieved what he just said, wasn it a complement? Or just getting her. She has no idea what this creature capable of, but she might be just overthinking things so might be kind to him.
"Thanks, well its been so long so its a little tiresome activity. Usually I enjoy having some of this activity"
"Well, is that so? May you show me personaly some of your fighting style?"
"I wouldn't call those some of my best fighting style, but if you insist. It might be futile since you are most experience one than me"
"Well, you have nothing to lose since its just a small sparring. Promise I'll be more considerate."
'Well just like he said, he won't be too hard for me. He might be a good help for me, for my incoming duel with Leah. Sitting in my room doesn't help me either'
"Okay, but don't expect too much from me"
They walk towards the ring and both face each other with a few distance. Each of them was in their stance, and eyes focus to each other waiting for a signal from each other. Mandy thought she was the challenger so she must make her first move. She run towards him and jump higher, with her fist aiming to him, and her foot ready to land. Drake expected what was going to happen, he just stop her fist using his hand. It made Mandy stop, and thought how fast he is.
"Your problem is, your move was too predictable. In fight you must have plan A to Z in order to defeat your opponent. Not just pounce at them." He release her hand and smiled at her.
"Well, start again and aim at me, but this time in close combat. Though you still have to master your agility in close combat, since once you are caught in close combat it might be fatal." Another stance, he wait for Mandy to do the same.
Mandy knows how impossible she could defeat the person, but hearing some lecture from him help her. They continued the combat, with a little pause when Mandy made a mistake. But that doesn't stop Mandy from fighting. Drake also acknowledge how persistent the girl was, even though she was covered with sweat.
