Mandy hadn't realized how long they've been fighting each other. But the longer she emerse herself in fighting, the more she become familiar with movement and reaction in any attack. However she still has a long way before she could even land an attack to Drake. Mandy was glad that this Drake was a good creature, that he was mentoring her in her fighting skills.
"What a great progress you have, even it was only a short while. You've already mastered the basics. Well, if you just keep on practicing you might have a chance"
"Thanks, it wouldn't be possible without your help and you are a great mentor, I give you that." Mandy was very greatful for his help.
"But I must say, you won't win just by your raw strength. You must use your whole ability and strength, since Leah was also known to be one of strongest student in MA"
"Yeah right, I know it already but I can't still figure out an easiest way to activate my ability since it only show up when I'm in trouble or in great need"
"That really suck, if that's the case you must come up with a great plan on winning"
"That's what more likely I should do. Anyway, its getting dark I should head back to the dorm. By the way, thanks again for your company today , I've really learned a lot. Bye" Mandy head out the place and back to her room. Most of the student were back already as they made a look while Mandy was passing them. But, she was still not bothered by their looks since she was occupied by the thought on how she can overpower Leah in the duel.
She just rest for the day and went on training on the remaining days, she still struggled on the meditating part but she still fucos in her combat skills. The other rulers observed her but it only made Vanisa sneer at her strategy.
"Naive girl, she thought she can easily win by only considering combat skill? She must be out of her mind, even if she try to execute that plannof hers it won't work"
"Maybe your right, but she shown us in the labyrinth she has something else. That might be her last trump card."
"That's if she's lucky enough" Vanisa and Selena exchange opinion of Mandy. Drake and Falcon just watch the girl training alone. She's been here every afternoon when the class ends until it reached five hours. Morgan was not with them since he have some task asigned for him outside the school.
Days passed so fast and the day has come for Mandy's duel with Leah. Many student and faculty members were gathered in a stadium within the school grounds. Many shouts in their hearts contents, cheering for Leah which was oviously she's capable of winning the duel. The ring was so wide that if someone step foot on it when looking from the aerial view the creature were look like an ant. The participants still not entered the arena, they were both in each of their rooms preparing themselves.
Mandy was wrapping her hands with a clothe to add strength in her punches. She felt nervous as the time for preparation come to an end.
"Ms Mandy, you must come out now"
Mandy stand and exhaled her breathe out, she walks toward the door and leave the room. Her eyes were burning with braveness to fight her opponent thinking she must win whatever it takes. She must not lose or else she would be a slave for the rest of her life.
She stopped on a giant gate, until it slowly opened, blinding by the lights from the outside. She ready herself for the incoming battle she must win.
'I must win no matter what' She convince herself.
