A few days have past since arriving at Zhul and Aaron is still in a depressive state, Ritz is looking worse. She has gotten thin, and sickly from not eating.
The duo have started to get looks of pity, especially Ritz. While Aaron is getting looks of spite. It wouldn't be long before someone attempted something.
'What does the system want me to do? It seems like it is suggesting that I should kill people, but that isn't something I can do just because it wants me to. And there is no time limit, so as long as I remain here, I won't fail the mission. Or at least thats how it seems. I wonder if there is another way to complete this mission.' Aaron thought.
"Dad, am I a burden?" Ritz suddenly asked, her voice sounding weak and devoid of life.
"What? No honey. Why would you think you are a burden?" asked Aaron after being startled for a few seconds.
'He hesitated, I knew it, I am a burden to daddy.' Ritz thought before replying. "Well, you've gotten depressed since we arrived, and have been lost in thought almost all the time."
"Oh that! Haha, I am trying to plan out what we are going to do, but everything ends badly. If only there was some way to make people more worried about someone else instead of us. And I mean US, you and me." Aaron laughed and gave his best customer service smile to Ritz, trying to show that nothing else was wrong.
"Oh. That should be easy for you daddy. You are a master of illusions, even the Tangs have said that you are second only to them in that term." Ritz said with that face that questions whether you have common sense or not.
[AN: Remember that Aaron basically knows nothing about illusions, and the ones he used on the map he made thinking that they would be seen through. So he hasn't really delved too deep in his new abilities.]
----Outside of existence----
The dark red sun is pulsing with a deep blue glow. There are small blue orbs orbiting it, going in and out of the sun. Some of the orbs coming out are slowly being tainted dark red.
"Well, that's new. I have never seen it react to depression before. And it seems like it's trying to convert it. I know I made this, but even I don't know everything it can do. I think only you, and your creator might have any idea about its capabilities. Isn't that right Existence?" said what appears to be a hammer made completely of white light.
"..." There was no reply, and it only seemed like the light that made up the hammer fluctuated.
"What do you mean that you don't even know? How is that possible?" the hammers head turned red as if angry.
"..." There was no fluctuations, instead the hammer just disappeared and reappeared.
"What?! Is that true?! It is actually..." the hammer's light almost dissipated in an instant before it could finish.
"Fine fine, I get it. I can know, but cannot talk about it. But now I want to know more. But doing anything more than watching it will end my existence won't it? Well, let's hope you won't suffer either."
----Back on the world of Tang----
'Am I really that good? Hey subsystem, are you able to say or explain anything?' Aaron decided to take a shot in the dark with the subsystem, as it seemed to only be a user interface.
'Replying to user. User's gained abilities in illusions are Tier 7.' the subsystem replied in that deadpan robotic voice you'd expect it to have.
'Well thats good news, I guess. But how the ranking work?'
'Replying to User. Would user like to start the basics tutorial?'
'There is a fucking tutorial? Why didn't you tell me before?!'
'Replying to User. No request was made by the User.'
Aaron just facepalmed. He finally figured out what this subsystem is related to. Its like the system of an expansion. You would already have basic knowledge of the game already, so there is no need for the tutorial. 'Looks like I have to be that player who has never played before and ask the older players for advice.'
'Alright then, start the tutorial.'
