I walk over to the bar and order three shots of tequila. As I wait for the drinks a strange man walks up to me, he reeks of alcohol and is obviously drunk.
"Hey pretty lady, do you want to dance." His words are slurred as he touches my shoulder.
"No, I am just here to have fun with my friends," I say as I pick up our drinks, shaking his hand off my shoulder. I start to walk away but he grabs my waist.
"Honey if you didn't plan to party you shouldn't have dressed like that." He strokes my waist as he draws me close. "I mean that outfit just sticks to your frame, and it would be a shame if that beautiful body went to waste."
I struggle in his grasp, knocking his arms away in the process. "Sorry, but I don't want to party like that." I frantically walk away as he shouts after me. I navigate through the crowd to a table near the front of the stage.
I set down the glasses as I listen to the music. Taking up the first glass I swallowed it in one gulp. Sour.
Looking for Keith and Viky, I drink the last two glasses. I don't see them so I get up and look around. I go up the stairs to get a better view. I look around as the music pounds on. I'm getting a little dizzy as I walk. I bump into a young man, he has pale blonde hair with sparkling green eyes, but what strikes me most is the sharp ears. He has ears like me.
"Sorry." He said as he walked on I just stand there staring at his back. He had the most smooth voice, like an angel. I shake my head to dismiss the thought.
When I get outside I lean against the wall and look up at the stars. My head hurts like I could fall asleep soon. Then I felt someone touch my chin and lift it. It's the man who had grabbed me in the club. This time he has a friend with him, he has brown hair and black eyes, he's kind of hot. Then he smiles and looks at my neck.
"Yep, it's her."
"He didn't tell us how hot she was."
"Well to be fair he hasn't seen her in years." He said as he looked at my face.
"Uh, can I help you two?" I said shaking off his hand. My head still groggy, I try to draw my dagger "Look I don't know who you are, but you have the wrong person." I struggle to stand properly. Before I take a step my legs give out.
"Damn, how much did you put in her drink, they're not supposed to be affected like this." He says as he picks me up.
"I split the whole bottle between the three drinks," The man sneers "I figured we could have some fun with her before we hand her over." He touches my shoulder and moves my sleeve so that my shoulder is exposed. "Hey hands off, he said no one touches her, she's his." I struggle to draw my dagger so I can get away from these men. I grasp the hilt and swing it into the man who is approaching me.
He screams as he sinks to the ground clutching his side where I had planted my blade. I release myself from the other man's grasp and put my hand all the wall to steady myself. Holding my blade I try to ward off the man. "Stay back, I warn you I am trained to use this as a weapon." I back up as he approaches me with a smirk on his face.
"Oh, you think you can hurt me. I am not afraid of you little girl." He reaches out to grab my wrist and I swing the blade up slicing his hand open. He winces and holds his hand. "Oh, you're in trouble now baby." He lunged and grabbed both my hands making me drop my dagger.
"Help!!" I scream before he covers my mouth with his bloody hand. The metallic taste of blood fills my mouth as I struggle to breathe through the overpowering smell.
"Honey, you better stay quiet, or I don't care who wants you." As my vision begins to blur I hear footsteps like a ringing bell as I see the man with sharp ears approach us. Then I'm on the ground gasping for breath as I reach for my dagger to replace it in its sheath. Trying to stand up I fall right back down. Sharp ears had knocked my captor out and bends in front of me. He puts his hands under me and scoops me up. Then the world goes dark.
