Chapter 3 - I am No Little Girl

As I open my eyes, an overwhelming light brings stabbing pain to them. My body feels weak and I have pains all over. Then the events of the previous night flood through my mind. That man must have brought me here.

Slowly sitting up I notice that my clothes have been changed and the blood has been scrubbed off my skin. The thought of that man doing this sends shivers through my body.

Carefully shifting off the bed and holding myself up, I notice I seem to be in an airy looking room. On the opposite side of the room, a large window shows that I'm somewhere in the woods.

Carefully walking, I find a small bathroom with a mirror. Looking in it I see that my platinum hair has been tinged red where the blood had been. My hair had always been thick and delicate, now it looked matted and worn. My shining silver eyes are also bloodshot as if I hadn't slept in days. I turn on the water and splashed my skin trying to make it feel fresh.

Suddenly I feel a presence, I look in the mirror and see that man standing right there. Turning sharply I found him to be standing inches from me. Upon seeing my reaction he grinned and placed a hand on the counter behind me. He moved his face closer to the point I could feel his breath on my nose. Trying to back up, I hit the counter. He has me cornered.

"Trying to escape, little girl, " he whispers into my ear. He looks almost amused. Almost.

"No, I am just trying to evaluate my condition, " I state matter-of-factly. I turn my head only for him to grab my chin and yank it back.

"Now now, it's not polite to not meet the gaze of the person talking to you, " he pouts shaking his finger back and forth like I'm some bad dog.

"It's hard to look you in the eyes when you are so close, " I am trying to catch my breath, I have never been this close to a man before, not even Keith.

The man smiles and backs away. "Sorry to have made you uncomfortable little girl, " He is now staring at me intently as if he is a lion stalking his prey. His golden eyes staring at me make me feel unnerved, he looks like a lion. I almost understand how my targets feel, and I don't like it.

"It's not particularly that I am uncomfortable, it's just that you caught me by surprise, " I retort trying to make it sound as if it doesn't bother me, but it does. "And also my name is not little girl, which I'm not."

He smirks as if this is funny. "Oh, really, then what shall I call you, " he says as if he was shocked my name isn't little girl. He leans in again and whispers "And with that figure, it's easy to assume you're a little girl."

My cheeks burn bright red. "How dare you, " I place my hands on his chest and shove. However, before I can push him back he has me pinned to the counter.

"Now that isn't very nice, now how would you like it if I push back." He grins and shoves me harder against the mirror. "Now, how should I deal with a little girl in my house."

My shoulder is in immense pain after being shoved into a wall twice in two days. I try to release myself from his grasp, but even with my special training, he is too strong. Trying to make him lose his concentration, I ask him a question "You have pointed ears, are you a Heathen?"

He just stands there looking shocked, then realizing he is letting his guard down, he strengthens his grip on me. "How do you know that word?" His voice hard, having lost all emotion.

"How do you think?" More of a jest than a question I want to see how much he himself knows.

Backing off he looks at me as if calculating whether or not I am a threat. "Don't push too far dear or you may end up getting hurt."

"I've already been hurt," he just looks at me as if he wants me to elaborate. Not answering he just backs away giving me one last look before exiting the room. When he shuts the door behind him I sink to the floor trying to maintain my stature. Breathe, just breathe. When I finally have myself composed I get back up tidying myself and changing back into my now clean clothes.

Making sure I have everything I came here with including my knife I carefully open the door making sure that man is not there. He isn't, I slip into the kitchen to find something to eat. I grab an apple and quickly finish it off so I can get out of here immediately.

I slowly make my way to the front door, making sure nobody hears me. Quietly I open the door and slowly close it, making no noise I turn around and dash into the woods to escape this house and that man.
