Chapter 2 - Early years before Rhea [1]

Kronos pov

In the beginning of my development it was let's just say lack luster all I did was eat, sleep and poop. I had never understood why a large number of reincarnated people resented this part of the reincarnation process when in fact it was done this way so that the soul and body would have time to adjust around each other cause let's face it bodies and souls are paired up at birth and to put the soul of an adult with all their memories in a new body grown or otherwise would cause complications.

That was it my life as a baby in what I could only guess as prehistory. I think I'm in prehistoric times is that although we live in tents are clothed and know how to use fire is that when my mother who funny enough is named Gaia takes me for walks around our village I see no signs of domesticated animals or farming of any kind. I have seen fruits and vegetables but from the looks of it the village I was born into is still in the hunter gathering phase of its development.

When I had made my request to big G to reincarnate in that same time period as Rhea I didn't think she was born so long before any semblance of Greek civilization came into the world, in the book series of the Persephones orchard she does mention that she lived so long that she forgot her own age. But from my guess I'm atleast 7000 - 8000 years away from the modern world and the beginning of most of the plots to the world's I had fused together to create these nine realms of absolute awesomeness I wished for because let's face it, there are dragons who can shift in to human form who can breathe the elements of wind, fire, ice, lightning and sound. The there is the strigoi, moroi, dhampire and witches. Then there is all the gods from American gods and the giants and gods from ragnarok. This world was basically gonna be in chaos and all the secret organizations will be trying to keep the supernatural world hidden from the mortals.

I'm getting a little side tracked here considering its kinda boring being a baby and I don't want to start training my powers cause quite frankly I don't know what side effects it could have on my still developing body. I started learning the local language slowly but I was getting there and I didn't know exactly what to call it since it come even before ancient Greek so let's just call it old Greek I know kinda lame but I'm kinda ripping off the Norse since they have old Norse as their language of the gods. But I digress, wow my has been doing that alot lately but I guess it comes with the whole being a baby attention span the size of a grape which reminds I need to make sure that the guy that becomes dionysos is made immortal like it's meant to be cause let's face he is literally the immortal of parties and getting piss drunk. Kinda feeling tired now curse this baby body but let's sleep it's not like anything truly interesting would happen anytime soon.

Gaia pov

The first few moon cycles of motherhood have been quite easy, Kronos barely cries and when he does it's only when he is hungry or needs to be changed. The shaman has been keeping a close eye on him saying that he gives of an energy that frightens her but it was still early and might just be the blessing of the gods making him stronger. My husband has been in a great mood with the birth of our son and the great amount of food our hunters have been able to gather lately it seems as if the gods have truly smiled upon us. When look upon my son I can not but see his eyes looking around us or at all the things within our village and all the conversation happening around like he is listening.

There is an odd flash within his eyes sometimes almost as if there is a divine power lurking beneath the cute smile and giggles my baby makes, I believe my sweet Kronos is the rebirth of a God in mortal form, but my husband and the shaman just think I'm stressed due to all the miscarriages, maybe they are right but I can not help but feel that Kronos will truly live up to his name and rule as king of the Titan Gods. But isn't that the dream of all mothers for their children to be great figures and pillars of the village.

Shaman pov

The birth of Kronos was the first time I had ever seen a child be born still yet be given life by the gods it was troubling especially when he began to grow and the power I felt from him grew with almost as if it was feeding of his growth. The boy would be a far more powerful shaman then me when the time came for him to begin his training for the path and role he would take in life and as a member of this village. As the son of our chief it was almost expected he would follow in his father's footsteps as our leader, and another would take my role as spiritual leader. There was so much to think about but there was still plenty of time and hopefully his mother could produce another son and he could be chief while Kronos became a shaman.

Kronos pov

It was odd the following years of my development was boring to say the least but it looked like things were starting to get interesting as my father and the shaman could be regularly seen fighting over which path I should take.

The shaman believes that due the circumstances of my birth so of the power of the gods still flowed through me a that such a gift should be trained a properly nurtured. While my father was let's just insistant that I would follow in his footsteps and become a strong warrior and chief.

My mother of course the wise woman she is decide to remain neutral and simple stated she would support whatever I chose as my path.

The shaman not wanting to admit defeat would come by regularly to show me tricks and magic which in all honesty was enough to make me curious about being a shaman. My father feeling cheated would sometimes take me with him to see him train and spar with our villages warriors. That's pretty much how I spent the next 5 years of my life being tempted to choose between the two paths.
