Chapter 4 - Early years before Rhea [3]

Kronos pov

As the shaman came before me the look in her eyes seemed to be so far away as if contemplating the secrets of the universe. It was at this moment that she looked at me and I could see the pity within her eyes as if she knew what fate would befall my would be family.

Kronos: master why the look of pity within your eyes it almost as if you come baring bad tidings.

Shaman: what I'm about to say is troubling and quite the serious matter that we must discuss in private.

Kronos: well I have time for such a conversation and we can take a walk to the valley I seem to be running out of herbs for my potions.

The walk was silent almost as if the smallest of sounds would shatter the world around us and send us into an abyss it did not help that my masters magical energy was giving off a chaotic feeling to it showing how much emotional turmoil she was currently going through.

Kronos: so master wat is it that you wished to speak about.

Shaman: well over the last few months of your wife's pregnancy you have seemed almost troubled and to help aliveate this uneasiness you might have been feeling I chose to do a prediction for you and your family.

Kronos: master I am grateful for the effort but that was not necessary as the future is ever changing so such a thing was unneeded.

Shaman: although yes the future changes this time I felt the certainty of time upon this prediction as if it was absolute. The news the future brings is not good it show you before 2 graves clearly of your wife and child. Then of you standing before the graves of our entire village alone before you disappear in a flash of lightning as if you were a God.

Kronos: so it is set in stone they will both die.

Shaman: you as if you already knew such a fate would befall your family. You seem almost at peace with such a prediction.

Kronos: I am saddened by the prediction but it was an outcome I was ready for. As for the rest of your prediction it is just the laws of time playing games with you for daring to try see the future.

Shaman: you speak as if you knew they would not survive no matter what is tried to save them.

Kronos: although sad this outcome is. It is the reality of a mortal trying to bare the child of an immortal.

The words had left my mouth before I even realized that I in my momentary stated of emotional de-stress I had told my master that I was immortal and that I had known such an outcome was possible from the moment I found out she was pregnant. The look upon my masters face was of pure shock and what followed was her leaving me standing there alone as she contemplated what she had just heard.

It was about a week later that I would see my master again when the supposed birth of my child was to take place. Master had come with many potion and from the looks of it was ready do anything it took to change the results of her prediction but I knew it was nothing more than wasted time as in the time I did not see my master I had traveled to the underworld in search of the immortality fruit found no such fruit so I left the underworld in resignation as that was my last hope as traveling through time to bring myself the fruit could cause unforseen damage to the timeline potentially making things worse.

With resignation I spent what time I had with my would be family. Then as the time came I let fate take its course. My master was displeased with my decision to make no effort in saving my family but in my rage I mentioned my search of the underworld for the fruit of immortality. I really need to get my emotions in check as it seems I'll be constantly revealing things I know to people. But then again at the age of 14 I had lost my wife and child.

It was a few years after that when I had turned 21 that I grew tired of this village and my former masters constant looks of disgust at my lack of action all those years ago. What came next was outside of mine or her prediction a war band carrying a group of powerful witches with them had released a magical plague upon the village within a few days my people were no more and I stood alone in a village of corpses. I do not know what happened as the last thing I remember from that day is seeing the body of Gaia and then nothing but screams of terror then silence. When I came to there was nothing left of the war band or my former village as I stood on a floor of scorched as far as my eyes could see.

It was clearly time to move on and truly begin my life as an immortal maybe with time I would seek out the Nordic pantheon to simply meet them and learn their ways of combat but for now I would travel all over Greece learning what I can from all the different villages I come across.

As I stood there and look at what remained of my childhood I felt a deep sadness at the loss of this place that was my birth place. I called upon my power covering myself in multiple lighting bolts of blue, green, red, purple and teleported to the next village.

This village although looked bigger than mines was still nothing compared to what it could become. The mortals around the village were shocked by my arrival as to them it looked like a God descending from their realm to walk amongst mortals.

It didn't take long for their shaman to step forward and ask me what my name was, it was in that moment that I said I AM KRONOS THE TITAN GOD KING as lightning flashed around me.
