The villagers looked at me in mild shock with a hint of confusion, I could practically read their minds( what would a God want with our little village) it's not that this village was chosen for a specific reason it's just the first one I came across on my journey. Proclaiming yourself a God after the entry I just made didn't seem far fetched to these people so they do what all mortals do before a God when they show themselves to a mortal or when they show their power they worship and obviously make requests but let's not get into that. I don't remember much after that it became to much of a blur with the years of endless festivals and worship. I spent about 100 years with this village just basking in their worship and learning from them all that I could but it was mostly spent teaching them as although they had a shaman he wasn't as well versed in magic or natural remedies.
Then came the time to move on, the next 600 years were spent in pretty much the same fashion with moving to new villages or tribes after 100 years or when I simply got bored and with my continued life to grew my knowledge of magic and my control of my powers. I had gotten good enough with magic that I had recreated a few spells that were similar to the works of fiction from my previous world like apparation, fiendfyre, legilimens and occulamens from Harry Potter as well as the linking spell from the vampire diaries world. In a bazzar twist of my thinking I tried to twist the fiendfyre spell into a healing spell, it took a decade or two honestly I can't be certain but it eventually worked, it looked like a golden flame and gave of a sense of warmth so I named it Phoenix fyre. Then came the more creative spells that although had a foundation in passed memories was mostly done by brute forcing my way through them like flash step from bleach and conquers haki from one piece. The conquers haki was easier than expected it was just that I didn't realize that it was just a matter of forcing my will to dominate in my mana as I pushed it into my surroundings.
I was approaching a thousand years of age when I got the idea to use magic to find the raw metal materials in the ground like iron, gold, platinum and by an absolute break of luck I found titanium. The metals were to be used in forging a weapon I wasn't sure what kind though, I read many fanfics in my passed life and I realized that a large majority of the protagonists went for katanas or similar swords but since I was born in ancient Greece I figured maybe a Greek style sword would be better. Learning to forge a blade from scratch in an Era where there were no blacksmiths to atleast teach me the basics was time consuming and mildly satisfying considering I would be holding the tittle of the first Greek blacksmith, this kinda made me the God of blacksmithing a few thousand years before the birth of
Hephaestus. But I digress I started working with Iron for about a 100 years until I felt I got the feel of it and couldn't bring out the properties of the metal any more. Then on to steel and platinum but I completely mastered those metals in half the time. Titanium was a hard metal to work with after its been processed but I felt like it was lacking what was needed to truly create the sword of an immortal so I started to experiment taking inspiration from fanfics I read I started with using my blood which was infused with mana to work the blade but still felt like it wasn't enough then the idea came like a truck, runes was the answer but I hadn't come across anything that could work like the asgardian runes from mythology but then again magic was all about intent. As a major DC fan especially after the release of the kypton TV series I had looked up the kryptonian alphabet to try and learn to read it, but like all things it faded to memory but that's exactly where I would find it and hopefully it would work with what I had planned.
The idea formed in my head beautifully but I wasn't completely sure it would work exactly the way I imagined it would. The flame would have to be special as well but fiendfyre was too destructive on it own and Phoenix fyre wouldn't be hot enough but if I used them together that could offset their individual shortcomings. Having a clear idea of what I was about to do I began, I kept trying for a long time to get the ratios of the mana I needed to feed into the spells right but it just kept making the metal brittle so I feed mana into the metal as well but my control just kept slipping and it failed either I pushed to much mana or not enough. With time my patience started to wear thin so I gave up deciding that working on this for almost 250 years was a little absurd so I took a break a much needed break. I figure there has to be a magical metal out there in 1 of the realms I asked for that could handle the process that I was thinking of. There was maybe another 1500 years before Rhea decided to become a priestess and even more time before she began her search for the immortals so a trip to other realms wouldn't be all that bad. Now I just had to figure out how to feel out the different realms cause a nice little trait the immortals had was that they could travel to the spirit realm almost instinctively but with the new realms it would take me a while to get it completely.
