Finally, the dreadful day has come to an end. Assana had just found out that she only had one class with Ahe and the same two classes with Loki and Ethan. The rest of her classes will be especially boring since she won't be able to have Ahe by her side.
On the other hand, Joash was strangely in all of her classes. The only class that they didn't share was Creative Writing. Assana was silently glad because writing is a passion of hers and she isn't confident enough to show her writing with others, especially if she knew them.
It was now dinnertime. Assana was walking down the hall absentmindedly while texting her friends and asking them where were they. Since she wasn't paying any attention to her surroundings, she had accidentally bumped into Amanda.
Amanda purposely fell to the ground, knowing that Assana would defend herself and tell people that she barely even touched her. An evil glint passed through her eyes as she thought about how she will defame Ahe's friends one by one after what they had done to her.
However, what Amanda thought will happen never took place. Instead of getting defensive and expression what truly happened as Amanda hoped, Assana genuinely grew worried about her.
"I'm so sorry! Are you hurt anywhere?" Assana asked the blonde headed girl that was still on the floor. The clothes she wore were slightly dirty because of the fall, causing Assana to frown and extend her hand towards Amanda.
She wiped away the dirt that was on the girl's clothes before helping her stand up. Amanda still hadn't said anything due to shock and embarrassment. Why didn't she go along with the plan!? It would've been so much easier to slander Assana if she got defensive. Because of the unexpected outcome, Amanda won't be able to turn people against her.
The two girls were being stared at by the students that were walking along the hallway. Their curious gaze landed on the two girls. What they had witnessed was just two girls accidentally bumping into each other. Since this was something that would normally happen in their lives, they didn't stay to watch the scene unfold.
Suddenly, an idea popped into Amanda's head. If she couldn't lower Assana's reputation by pretending to fall to make her try and convince the other students that Amanda fell on her own, then maybe she can threaten her to stay out of her way. This was a perfect idea!
Amanda took a step forward but fell down once again, holding onto her ankle. This time, her plan wouldn't fail! Seeing how genuine Assana's concern was, maybe she can use this against her kind act against. Amanda pretended to be crying out in pain while holding her head down, looking as if Assana was intimidating her.
"It hurts…" she whispered softly as she stared into Assana's eyes, her own eyes filling up with tears. This sight caused Assana to grow concerned and ashamed of herself. If only she paid attention to her surroundings, then maybe she could've prevented this situation and Amanda wouldn't have gotten hurt.
Assana knows that her first time meeting Amanda didn't go well. This girl had disrespected her friends at the cafeteria in front of the whole school. In Assana's opinion, Amanda should've had distanced herself from Ahe ever since he indirectly told her to go away.
The outburst she had initially caused could've been triggered by the sudden news that Ahe would never be interested in her. Even if this piece of information could stun anyone, it shouldn't be to such an extent that Amanda would wish to hurt them.
Assana's thoughts began to get cloudy. Looking into Amanda's eyes gave her an unfamiliar feeling. Chills ran down her spine as her thoughts began getting cloudy. The things that Amanda had done against her and her friends were slowly being wiped away by an unfamiliar force. Why was Assana even mad at her in the first place? Amanda never did anything wrong.
"Let me help you. I'll take you to the infirmary."
Slowly forgetting about those memories, Assana wrapped her arm around Amanda's waist, holding her upright. She slowly began walking away from the cafeteria where her friends were waiting. She accidentally hurt Amanda and she will definitely make it up for her, especially since Amanda has always been nice towards her.
The exchange between Assana and Amanda gathered the attention of many students. They all stared at the two girls in respect. However, there was one person that stared at Amanda in disdain. How dare she fool Assana like that? Assana isn't that naïve, that's for sure. What caused her to sincerely help this person?
This person narrowed his cold and dead eyes towards Amanda. This girl was just too manipulative. Even if Assana didn't want to help Amanda, she would've been forced to because of the scene she created. The one thing that really didn't make any sense was how on earth was Assana fooled so easily.
His eyes widened. No, it shouldn't be true. It was still too early to tell who will be the ones who stay. Also, it always takes about a week or two before the lucky students' talents arise. Could it be that the powers these kids will soon possess are already manifesting itself?
Assana had already taken Amanda towards the infirmary to get her ankle checked. Despite feeling good about the fact that Amanda had forgiven her about the small accident, Assana couldn't help but feel that something wasn't right. It was as if something was temporarily erased from her head.
Amanda, on the other hand, felt absolutely ecstatic and didn't feel an ounce of shame or regret. The small plan she had created didn't go as smoothly as she had hoped, but it would still bring her great results!
How will Assana react after knowing that everything she had gone through to help Amanda was all just a waste of her time? This particular thought never seemed to leave Amanda's head. Should she make Assana suffer more? At this rate, she'll miss lunch!
Amanda figured that she had everything under her control. She freely expressed her evil feelings, her eyes shining with an evil glint.
Amanda's mind was torn between two decisions. She could threaten Assana right here and now, granting her immediate, or she could slowly become her "friend" and fool her friends into thinking that Amanda's friendship is meaningful. The last plan seemed like a much better idea even if it didn't give her immediate satisfaction. The pleasure she would feel at the end would be much greater.
