"H-hey, I'm so sorry about everything," Amanda said while lowering her head.
In Assana's twisted perspective, Amanda was the victim. The poor girl fell to the ground and hurt herself because of Assana's ignorance. She should've been more cautious and observant of her surroundings.
Why was she always so oblivious to the world? Has Assana hurt others because of her ignorance? These thoughts plagued her mind and made Assana feel even worse about the current situation.
"I'm the one that should be sorry. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in this situation."
Amanda knew Assana's feelings were genuine. Despite this, she still wished to harm the girl severely. So what if she was showing concern for her? This girl humiliated her in front of the whole school! Don't you know that that small action could've tarnished her reputation?
Pushing away her evil thoughts, Amanda faked a sad smile. "You shouldn't feel that way. It was just an accident."
Assana looked into Amanda's eyes. How could a person be so forgiving?
Assana's thoughts were cut short as the lights began to flicker on and off. A strange and overpowering presence was felt all throughout the space of the room, making both girls shiver at the sudden change of atmosphere.
The lightbulbs turned dark before shattering, causing Amanda to scream in fear and close her eyes tightly. Assana, on the other hand, flinched at the sound of glass breaking and covered herself. A few pieces of glass managed to scrape her skin and blood began making its way to the surface of her skin.
Thankfully, the windows were open. This allowed sunlight to pour in and warm up the shocked girls. Strangely enough, the corner next to the window was darker than the rest of the room.
Assana had no time to think about some trivial matters such as the strange darkness. She had only one thing in mind. Thankfully, Amanda didn't get hurt from the stray glasses.
"Hey, do you think you can treat my arms?"
Amanda stared at Assana's slightly bloody arms. Why does she need to help her? There was barely any blood flowing out to begin with.
Amanda glanced around the room and open her mouth to reply. No words came out as her eyes met a pair of dead gray pools.
Hair covered his cold and lifeless eyes. His gray skin made Amanda's skin crawl. What was wrong with this guy? Is he even alive?
Assana was oblivious to the person hiding in the dark corner. She was still waiting for Amanda's response as worry began to grow within each passing second.
"Is there something wrong?" She asked while staring at Amanda, wondering why she got quiet all of a sudden.
When the gray eyed boy heard Assana's concern for Amanda, his eyes shone with a dangerous glint. Amanda felt scared. Terrified, even. Does this spirit know her real intentions?
Wait, does the spirit know Assana? Amanda stared at the girl in front of her. The bleeding of her arms stopped, but he cuts were quite visible.
"Are you friends with a spirit or a ghost?"
As soon as the question left her mouth, regret began filling her very being. That question was so stupid. Assana is too weak to be able to have a spirit by her side. Besides, spirits that stay in the human world have unfinished business or they are out for revenge. Judging by the flickering lights and breaking glass, Amanda figures this spirit was out for revenge.
Assana shook her head. She looked at the corner Amanda had been staring at for the last couple of minutes and saw the gray eyed boy.
Her eyes watered as a few tears ran down. Why was she crying? She sobbed quietly and wiped away the tears that escaped her brown eyes.
The boy stared at Assana. He felt stunned yet happy. She could see him! After so many years! His once dead and cold eyes were now full of life and happiness. This change of emotion surprised Amanda. So they really do know each other...
Distant memories filled up Assana's mind. Memories that she thought were long gone and forgotten rushed back, giving her a strong head ache.
The spirit held his breath as he watched Assana sway back and forth. He rushed towards her just as she began falling down to the side.
He gently carried Assana and placed her on the bed next to Amanda. He stared at her for a few seconds, a warm smile on his face. Then, he turned to look at Amanda and narrowed his eyes. All of the warmth that once filled up his gaze was now gone and all that was left was a cold expression.
"If you dare hurt her, I'll hurt you and the people you love most," he threatened her and smirked evilly, making Amanda believe everything he just said.
She nodded her head quickly and shut her eyes. A few seconds passed and she cracked open her eye lids hoping, feeling relieve by the fact that he was no longer there.
Amanda turned her head to look at Assana. Maybe it would be best to just leave her here. She doesn't want to take any chances and anger the spirit she had just encountered.
However, despite giving up on the plan, she would still find a way to hurt her and her friends.
"If I can't do anything against this girl, I'll just go for the next best thing."
A cruel smile appeared on her face as she thought about Loki. He was the guy that stood up for Ahe and he made Amanda look like a fool in front of so many people.
She stood up and walked away from the infirmary, planning how she could get closer to a certain guy. Amanda wasn't someone to give up so easily. Once she caught sight of her pray, they will never escape her evil clutches.
