Chapter 2 - Chapter 2. The rascal.

The first semester droned on quickly. I joted down in my enrollment form the subject codes that i intend to take for the second semester. I was estatic. I just passed by the dean's listing and found my name listed 3rd of the honor's listings. My scholarship is safe.

"You never returned my hankie," a heavy accented, familiar voice made me jump. Kurt Sebastian Rigor. The rascal. "You must be keeping it as a remembrance of me."

I thinned my lips in irritation. I moved passed him, ignoring him and shifted through the posted class schedules. "i can give you more than a hankerchief to remember me by if you ask me nicely," he flirtedly run his fingers through my hair. The hair on my neck stood. This guy is so full of himself.

"If you must know but i dumped your hankie few months ago. It smelled of rat," I snapped. A mistake. I could see his handsome face turned amused. "Sooo, little Miss Top 3 has a sharp tongue," he cooed. "i would be very much interested in tasting how sharp it is with my own tongue."

kurt is a heart-rob. THE university heart-rob. Like he literrally robs the hearts of females. A well-known playboy. He flirts at every female in school so his flirting with me is nothing special. its just the way that he is and i am just annoyed.

"Not interested," i shrugged his hands off. Annoyed.

One moment he was behind me, the next moment he was blocking my way. He gently shooved me to the wall with both his hands pinning my shoulders and neared his handsome face. It was so near that my heart pounded wildly thinking that he would really kiss me. I could smell his fresh breath as he teasingly eyed me and said, "Really?" My head spun. Half of me wanted to kicked his balls but at the same time i also wanted to taste his lips. I looked deep into his eyes. His eyes twinkled in amusement. And his mouth curved up teasingly. I think i stopped breathing. But before i could stop myself, i blurted out, "Your breath smells like rat." Stupid Heline. That's why boys backs out on you. His brows furrowed. Someone laughed hysterically and threw a friendly punch at his shoulder. "Stop it Kurt," Levin Gomez, the quiant-smiler-at-the-bus said, "You're getting nowhere with Heline. She's just savage."

Kurt released me and smiled apologetically. "Your breath smells like raspberries." He laughed and quickly joined his bestfriend Levin who gave me a reassuring nod. I sighed and quickly left the jealous eyes of the bystanders.

Weeks have past after my Kurt encounter but i could never brush off the look of his eyes, the smell of his breath and the hardness of his muscles as he pinned me against the wall. I must have been going crazy daydreaming, even during classes, of tasting his lips. I could see my focus drifting away as i cannot help myself thinking of him. To make up, i frequently visits the library until wee hours.

Mom made me use her old and almost worn-out car so i never rode the bus again. I never regretted since I never saw Kurt nor Levin again after the first day ride on the bus. My phone rang awakening me from my latest daydream with my new-found crush. Mom was on the other line, furious. "Yes, im coming home." She wanted me to be in time for dinner to meet her "friend". i rolled my eyes.

I walked towards the car under the moonlight. As I start up the car, it gave out a loud bang and some faint metallic tapping noise. I prayed that I'll make it home. I should really have a mechanic see it tomorrow. Halfway through the dark, winding road the car gave up and stop. I panicked and tried starting up again but it died on me. I coursed through my bag and search for my phone. No signal. Just great. I turned on the phone's flashlight and made my way to the car's hood. I could see heavy smoke coming from it. How the hell am i going to go home now. I know nothing about fixing a car. I panicked and desparately tried to search for some signals from the phone. I need to call somebody. Anybody.

A single bright light could be seen nearing. The sound of a motor engine getting louder. Finally. Help came. I shivered as I waved my hands wildly for the attention of the rider. A large motorbike stopped. The rider was tall and large with leather jacket and full face helmet. I froze realizing my mistake. This man could be a bad guy. I stepped back and prepared to get back in the car and lock myself in.

"You should never waved that wildly Miss Top 3. There are a lot of crazy guys at this time of the night and at this middle of the road," a familiar voice said as he removed his helmet. Kurt. He hair danced wildly with the wind. His cheeks flushed as he approached me. I stepped back and embraced myself. I was shivering as i was wearing a thin sheer laced blouse and slack pants. He must have noticed as he removed his jacket and gave it to me.

I shook my head. He rolled his eyes and gently placed his jacket over my shoulders. I could feel his warm body from the jacket and i stopped shivering. He opened the hood of the car and using my phone's light checked my engine. "This car is going nowhere. You just have to leave this here and have this tow tomorrow."

My lips trembled. Have it tow. It would cost me a fortune. "I-I c-can't l-leave i-it." My voice cracked. My throat felt dry.

His voice became gentle, "Let's just leave it here. I'll bring you home."

A large lump grew in my throat. My mom will find it hard to look for means to finance the towing. He gently took my cold hands and warm it in between his hands. "Let's figure this out tomorrow. for now let's just get you home safe."

He felt warm and gave me a settling feeling. i nodded. He took my hands and led me to his motorbike. He fitted a helmet on me then to himself. I rode behind him and he gently took my hands and wrap it around his waists, "Hold on tight, I dont want you to fall." i held on tighter locking him in an embrace as we rode into the night.

Ice cold air kissed my checks as we rode fast passed the lonely roads and neared our neighborhood. He stopped just in front of my home. I was puzzled. He knows where I live.

He squeezed my hands and aided me in getting down from his motorbike. He didnt let go until I was at the gate of my home. "I am just so glad that I went out tonight and passed by you. Someone else could have seen you and we would not know what could happen to you."

"Thank you," i blinked back tears. I was so rude with him before.

He gave me a smile as he cupped my cold cheeks with his hand. He looked deeply into my eyes. I could sense him sizing me up as he wiped my tears away. "You're cold. You should get inside."

I nodded and removed his jacket but he stopped me, "take it inside. you can return that tomorrow."

I nodded as he went back to his bike and rode out into the night. I watched him disappeared. He is indeed a heart-rob. And just tonight he rob my heart.
