Chapter 7 - Dumb Fishes?

They dig small pit 3-5 meters beside the river and covered the bottom part with rocks and bamboo around to prevent the mud from sliding and covering the hole.

Another a straight path hole for the bamboo connecting the river to the pit, then they covered it with mud again. The small pit were covered with woven bamboo strips.

They were able to make 5 traps out of a dozen bamboos they gathered.

Then Apo Isko told them, "We're done!, Let's return later before the sun hide behind the mountains"

The 10 capable men shoot questioning looks at Apo Isko, but they didn't dare ask why and how.

Apo Isko understands what they think, but he just shrugged his shoulders as he didn't also know how to explain it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯

On the way back to their village, Apo Isko pointed here and there to different herbs, fruits, crops, and grasses. When they reached the village, they were carrying huge stacks of different flora they gathered. Apo Isko, managed to learn on how to spot edible and not edible fruits and crops from the Talking Book. He also learned the use of herbs and grasses for adding flavor and concocting herbal medicine. Unfortunately, their village is way too primitive to cook or prepare medicine.

They only know how to use rocks and sticks.

Even their shelters were only made of huge branches and animal hides or huge leaves.

Some of them live inside caves. Their village is like an evacuation center or a man-made prairie at the foot of the mountain. Huge trees were all over around them, and this bald piece of land became their village.

This is a very convenient location, a kilometer away to the North there's a river, and on the opposite direction was the mountain. West area was a dense forest and the East side is a downward slope facing the path to the open sea.

Apo Isko, asked the 10 capable men to gather as many bamboos of different sizes as they can within this afternoon.

Then he went to the shelters to gather the wives of the Parent Tribesmen.

He taught them how to weave Bamboo strips like how he taught the 10 capable men earlier.

All the women of the tribe were amazed by how beautiful it looks.

Then he also taught the male tribesmen of the Parent Tribesmen to make weapons out of bamboos.

The most applicable weapon is the bamboo spear. They just need to insert a sharp stone at the end of the bamboo and wrap the handle part with flexible vines or animal skin.

Mining of Hard Rocks from the mountain became a task for the male tribesmen as well.

Different shapes that looks like a blade was presented by Apo Isko, he asked them to form this from the rocks they gathered. He told them that they can make it by crushing and rubbing it with harder pebbles.

Apo Tasyo is one of the tribesman that became obsessed with this task.

He successfully made 5 rock-blades, and his works is way above the quality of the other tribesmen's works. His handmade rock-blades can cut wood easily unlike the work of others which is rather blunt.

Apo Isko was amazed when he saw this. He declared that Apo Tasyo is the best blacksmith of rock-blades and will be rewarded for this.

After he concluded things here, he once again gathered the 10 capable Tribesmen.

He presented the Baskets made by the tribeswomen.

They now have Baskets made of woven bamboo strips. Each of the capable tribesmen carried 2 Baskets and they were wondering what's this for.

Apo Isko, stopped the commotion and said "You'll find out later! Keep moving! We need to get there before it gets dark!"

They all listened to Apo Isko and rushed to one direction.
