The two newly acquaintances got off the taxi. They have just arrived in front of Shizu's house. Her house was quite modern and bigger than the average individual-owned-house in Tokyo. The neighborhood was nice and you could tell that the people who lived in that area were pretty well off.
Shizu passed the concrete fence then rushed to the front door. She might live alone and often come home late but her front yard area was always illuminated thanks to the automatic light control that turned the lights on whenever the sensor sensed dark conditions. She looked for the key that she hid behind a vase, was it still there? Yup, she found it. Shizu squinted her eyes and stepped back to study her house.
The guest was still not there, so she took her phone out to check her RoomBnB app- she still hadn't received any response from the guests even though the message she sent was marked as 'read'. She also hadn't received the cancellation email.
Yeah, who would cancel the stay after paying that much, right? If they cancelled it, they wouldn't get any refund as per the RoomBnB policy. There was a phone call function on the RoomBnB chat room. Should she call the guest?
Shizu turned her body to face Lee Changhyuk who'd been silently walking behind her. He was carrying the two big bags that belonged to Le Sucre.
Behind the sunglasses, his eyes were tenderly following the Milk Girl who studied her house. He was not in a hurry and didn't seem annoyed by her detective acts even though it also meant she was ignoring him.
It didn't matter, as long as he could spend some time with her, he would wait for her. Well, what else did he expect? They just became friends!
Shizu took the bags from Lee Changhyuk then raised her head to meet his eyes. It was indeed a very long day.
She witnessed her fist love passionately kissed another girl, was bullied and almost crushed by an unicorn prop. She should have felt miserable but then Lee Changhyuk appeared out of nowhere. Was she still sad? Yeah, but she felt so much better. She owed this to him, right? Her cherry lips widened from ear to ear.
"Thank you so much for today."
Lee Changhyuk nodded, acknowledging her words.
"Can I see you again?"
"Of course!" Shizu answered immediately, there was no hesitation in her voice.
Lee Changhyuk removed his sunglasses to get a better look at her eyes. He was again letting himself drowning in those beautiful brown eyes. The corners of his lips curved up without him realizing it. It took so much for him to restrain himself from jumping around. Aah, if only he could tell her how happy he was to hear that.
Shizu didn't divert her gaze from that sharp eyes. She realized that wet lips looked darker than usual, cold sweat dripped from his temple and there was a dark circle under his eyes. Shizu didn't think it was caused by the weather.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
Lee Changhyuk shrugged then nodded confidently as if she just asked him one stupid question. Little did he know that his pale face betrayed him as he could feel the pain in his chest worsen everytime he took a simple breath.
"Are you sure? Where are you going after this?"
Lee Changhyuk cupped his jaw and caressed his sharp chin.
"That's a good question. I need to look for a new hotel as I missed my flight."
2 seconds after his reply, Shizu and Lee Changhyuk could hear the voice of a man crying and screaming. It was a cry coming from a drunk guy.
Lee Changhyuk raised a brow then looked at the milk girl who was still staring at him. He wanted to ask if she heard that but Shizu didn't seem to care about the scream. Her whole attention was put solely on Lee Changhyuk's pale face.
Lee Changhyuk threw a quick smile to her then took the key from her hand. He unlocked the front door and gently pushed her shoulder.
"Get in, it is not good for a girl to be around some uncontrollable drunkards." His voice was calm but she could hint a change in Lee Changhyuk's expression.
Before she could say anything, Lee Changhyuk handed the key and lowered his tall body so that he could meet her in the eye level.
"Lock the door. Good night, Miruku - chan. Sleep well." A mishievous grin appeared on that nonchalant face as he looked at her puzzled expression. He then shut the door between them.
"Wait! Lee Changhyuk!"
The Star ignored her call then leaned his body to the front door. He took a deep breath. It was painful but he needed the air to clear his head.
That drunk guy, was he calling for Shizu? Why would he call for her? Lee Changhyuk didn't think that the milk girl heard it, but he trusted his ears.
He walked towards the front gate and took a peak. He couldn't hear what they were saying but he saw 3 young men coming towards her house. One was heavily drunk and the other two didn't seem intoxicated.
"You should never disappear from me. You are all I got." He mumbled.
