Adi's POV,
I tell the others, "Cover Me! I need five seconds to reload"
No sooner did I finish saying that than Charles came in front to block those trying to get to me. He says, "I'll keep the forte here!"
My back is wracking with pain as I recover from the stab and from the hit to my back. Charles rushes ahead into the others. He is still successfully drawing their aggro while I recover and reload from my inventory. I equip myself with four quivers each of which somehow hold 1000 arrows. One on either shoulder and one on either side of my waist. I am now ready once more for battle!
Third Person Perspective- TPP
Charles says that he is going to keep the forte on the battlefield. He waits patiently for the calvalry men to arrive. It takes them a full second to do so. Charles raises his sword at them .For a split second, it seems that he has been sliced in half. The next second, the cavalry men are starting to heap on the ground. Charles stands rooted in his position while the cavalrymen come at him from all sides. All that can be seen are splashes of blood here and there as the cavalry men and their horses both fall down before they reach Adi. There is the occasional clash of swords, spears, etc. Five seconds later, Adi is back into the fray. He starts shooting the cavalrymen as well, allowing for Charles to move on ahead. Charles takes this opportunity and rushes ahead at the cavalry. He slashes one of them and using his horse as leverage jumps up into the air. He does a back-flip in the air, dismembering the soldiers on his either side. He steps on one of the horses and jumps ahead at the others impaling them with his swords and pushes them as they fall on the horse behind. The soldiers on the horse fall down with the horse. The two soldiers attack Charles from the behind. Charles ducks and turns around and cuts their Achilles heels. He turns around to see two spears aiming for his head. He rolls backwards missing the spears by mere centimetres. He gets back up and continues his attack. The cavalrymen start coming at him from all around. Charles swirls to intercept and put them down. A spearman throws his spear at Charles. Charles bends his head in the nick of time. The spear cuts his face right below the eye.
"So you do bleed!" comes the voice of a man who looked to be in early thirties. He had a long black beard and scythe like mustachios. He was on a horse but chose to get off it. He tells the others, "He's mine. No one intervene"
I recognize him. He is Ananth. My rival in swordsmanship. He was the same level as me when I went to the Mahabharatha event so he will be difficult to fight. I ask him, "How do you plan on beating me? By giving long monologues?" He snorts and says, "Let's see who's laughing at the end of this!"
He rushes into Charles. Ananth swings his sword at Charles' midsection. When Charles blocks this attack, he takes back his sword and brings it down on Charles' head which Charles just evades. Charles is jumping on his toes being as fast as a cheetah in situations like this. He was also known as the lightning cheetah for his speed. He was among the fastest if not the fastest swordsman who was also a player. He is on his toes circling around Ananth. Ananth lunges ahead at Charles to stab him. Charles twists his body to avoid the stab and brings down his sword onto Ananth's sword. He then stabs at Anath's shoulder with his sword. Ananth brings up his shield to protect himself against the attack. Charles uses this position to tilt the battle into his favour. He keeps on swinging and slashing at Ananth. Ananth is being pushed backwards and is being pushed into the defensive. Charles is dictating the pace of the battle. Charles doesn't give Ananth a single chance to retaliate against him! Charles takes a swing at Ananth again and kicks him this time pushing Ananth down to the ground back first. He suddenly feels an arrow pierce his heart. He looks back to see an archer firing more arrows at him. Charles rushes at the archer giving him no time to apprehend what was happening. He didn't even see what hit him. While Charles is cutting down and dismembering soldiers, Ananth regains his posture and stabs Charles in the gut once more. He removes his sword from Charles' gut. Charles screams in pain as he turns around to yet another stab by Ananth. Ananth removes his sword from Charles and kicks Charles, putting him down. He tells Charles, "Good bye! Hope you enjoy limbo! Oh wait, since you'll be technically alive, I can destroy you how many times I want to! You know how many times you've killed me before in this game?!! 51 times! 51 times, you have cost me my exp and my property. 51 times! This is revenge for all of that! What's better, there's a chance that you might never return! Bon Voyage! Hhehehehhe"
Charles' eyes widen as Ananth brings down his sword on Charles. Charles rolls away once more. He gets up and summons a healing potion from his inventory. He puts his left sword down and starts drinking it with his left hand. He drinks as quickly as he can before he has to block Ananth with his other hand. He puts what remains of the potion back into his inventory. He tries reaching down for his sword but Ananth hits his shoulder with his shield pushing Charles backward. Charles holds his sword with both his arms. He tells Ananth, "I may have murdered you fifty one times. Know this, I am susceptible to murdering you a fifty second and fifty third time as well. You may have been as strong as I was before the event began, but now, I am a full ten levels ahead of you. I am faster than you, stronger than you and have a greater affinity to my element. Give up now and I'll spare your life and you'll be out on probation."
Ananth laughs and says, "Let's see who's gonna die and who's gonna live! After all, the bloody azure is the one who is bloodied right now. I am in perfect state! You'll be the one begging me for mercy at my feet as I graciously provide you a swift and painless death!"
