Setsu and Linda squealed of glee, and the delivery man had a little smirk because of their reaction.
"Hello miss, who of you is Setsu Young?"
"I am!" Setsu said.
"All right, if I could just get you to sign this" He handed her a tablet and she put her sign on it.
"Thank you, I hope you enjoy it."
"We will, thanks!"
"Have a nice day!"
Setsu lifted the small package inside, and they entered the living room, where her parents were waiting. Setsu opened the package and inside was a beautiful sphere, it seemed to be filled with a rainbow, all kinds of colors moved inside and Setsu gently lifted it with both hands.
"Do you like it, dear?" Her mother asked her.
"Of course, but I didn't really expect it to look like this!"
"Well, we don't completely understand how it works either, but it definitely is pretty." Her father said.
"Yeah, it's fantastic!"
"Well, get it installed and start your adventure! Just place it in the middle of your table, and it'll do the rest."
"All right, let's go Linda!"
They both moved to the room with Linda in front, holding the door for her. Setsu placed the sphere in the hole in the table, and the sphere made a silent *click* when it got settled on correctly. The table started changing, and the table changed into a barren sandbox. Nothing but sand everywhere. A screen flickered on, and an AI started to talk to them.
"Hello, and welcome to Tabletop Dungeon, please would the owner place her index finger on the screen and speak, so we can declare ownership. This could be changed later if necessary, or overwritten if wrong conduct occurs."
Setsu placed her index finger and started talking. "Hello, my name is Setsu Young."
"Access granted, thank you for your participation, Setsu Young. Please wait for a patch for your game to install."
The screen showed a loading screen.
"A patch already? That's a little weird, it's only just come out!" Setsu said.
"Yeah, do you think there were last second problems?" Linda said.
They didn't have enough time to question it though because the patch was done and a small fairy showed up. "Hello! Lily is Lily! Lily was authorized to be your Dungeon Keeper! Pleased to meet you!"
"A fairy?!" Both Setsu and Linda were shocked, as this was never announced. They thought the AI was normal for the game.
"Yes, Lily is your personal Dungeon Fairy, ready to help you progress and keep watch! Now, would you like to start out?"
"Wait!" Setsu was about to question the fairy, but her parents opened the door and walked inside. "Did you enjoy our little present, dear? We made this fairy to help you progress faster, since you can leave some tasks to it to accomplish when you aren't around, like when you're in school."
"Oh, it's wonderful!" The girls' reaction made the fairy happy, it giggled a little and did a few tricks like twirls and other cute flying acrobatics.
"All right, now that I know why you're here, please show me the status. Status Open!"

"Woah, that's a lot of information to take in..."
"Well, take your time and look through them. Though I suggest you put your first effort into the environment of the surface, like you were planning." Her father suggested.
"Yeah! The surface is your most important resource right now, so get started!" The fairy chimed in.
"All right, let's take a look. Open the surface environment options for me, Lily!"
"Yeah, let's see what we can do Lily, we'd love to get started!" Linda said.
The environment tab had so many options, it was dizzying. From normal dirt to special rock types and ores, water options, mountain options, all kinds of trees and shrubs.. Setsu asked Lily to tone down the expensive stuff a lot and just show the cheap basic land options you could find in a plain for now, starting with Dirt. She purchased her first plot of land soon after, and a square kilometer cost her 1 point. She bought 400, in a square. This would be the start of her small little piece of civilization.
