Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Changes made and progress

"Lily, can you run me through the progress that was made?"

"Sure! First, I spent all the points, getting the plants in place and getting the animal's basic food needs checked out, and I have added chances for all the animals to mutate by adding them."

"All right, can you show us a few places?"

Lily zoomed in on a few basic food products like carrots and berries, then she showed off the mutation plants and the illusion plants which defended it.

"These plants inflict illusions, I added them as a basic defense mechanism so the animals can't just eat it without proving themselves or finding it at random. I also added basic food for the fishes, like seaweed and a few little under water Bulbs that emit light."

Now she saw a sweep over the water, she saw a few carps in the rivers and salmon swimming upstream, towards the basin.

Then Lily showed a few other mushrooms and berries.

"These are poisonous, the brown mushrooms are fine to eat, but the red and white ones can't be eaten. For the berries, the ones with a hard seed inside are poisonous, but the blackberries are fine."

"Oh yeah, I read about that in school. Really, it amazes me that the prettiest ones are the dangerous ones, and the ones that look bland, like brown or black are fine..." Linda said.

Now, Lily showed Setsu and Linda the trapping roots, the rot eaters and the tree vines.

"The roots grab unsuspecting rabbit by their feet, they can't do much more and are thesame as normal plants. The big flowers with an opening are rot eater plants, they lure nearly dying animals with their scent and can use vines to slowly pull in dead animals. The tree vines give back a bit of mana and emit some light at night time."

And lastly was Lily's little home base. It was a little small, but so was Lily, and she could become even smaller if she adjusted to the Tabletop Dungeon. She usually showed up like a tiny fairy in human form, so she could talk to them, but she could also do that in the size for humans on the Tabletop.

Now, it was time for Setsu's next plan. She wanted to add a bee hive, to pollinate plants and create a source of honey.

"Lily, zoom out again, it's time to make some progress again."

"Lily's got this!"

She decided to create the hive herself, so if anyone ever found it, hopefully they wouldn't have to wreck the bee's hive to get to the honey.

She added the specific hive pattern of 6 sided blocks, where the larvae would be placed, before hatching and made the shell strong. The only thing she added was a softer lower part, where the excess honey would be stored, which would regenerate on it's own after destruction, then placed them on the south side of her plains but near the east. She wanted the hive to be in the somewhat warmer south than in the colder east, but still wanted the bears to be able to access it. Then, she only added a single Queen bee and 10 worker bees. She also added a few larvae covered in honey, until she spent 50 currency in total for this project.

She added a flower bed nearby and added just a few more trees, and a group of butterfly larvae. This didn't end up costing much, which made her happy because she wanted it to look pretty.

Now she wanted to add more animals. She had been considering waiting until she could buy another respawning animal but decided against it because she wouldn't get the best value out of it. Tomorrow, she would add respawning points but now she would be better off making slight progress and more variety.

First were a pack of 12 deer. They were all placed together, for their own protection. This one she really wanted, and for the other animals, she decided to ask Linda to think with her.

"Linda, what do you think? Is there anything you really want added?"

"Oohh! Hmmm... Add tadpoles, they're cute. And a few birds? Hmm.. Add some ducks, swans and geese. Also, add just a few heron! Then some doves. Oh, they will need food, so add a few groups of mice around the place."

"Wow, you already had a bit in mind huh?"

"Yeah! You should also give more points to Lily again, so she can add food products for the duck, swans and geese because I have no clue what they dive down for to eat but they probably need it, and Lily knows what she's doing."

"Good idea, let's keep it like this for now then. Lily, it's your turn now! We have 150 currency left, it's all yours to choose whatever you want!"
