Knox couldn't take typing out all her responses to this lot because they were changing as they kept blabbering on.
So she decided she was going to try to show her reply with actions.
Raising her hand Knox gave a hesitant thumbs up to the five people stood in front of her.
Steina looked at the big fat grin on Caldos face, and let out a small sigh.
Grettil and Oconnar were both giddy excitement from just the thought of the passive boost Knoxs placement in their party would give to their spells and prayers.
"You're new to the game right?" Octo asked Knox in a condescending tone as he folded his arms across his chest.
Knox: Ya
Octo was a little ticked off at this kid for typing everything when he had obviously giggled earlier. The kid wasn't a mute so why wasn't he talking?
Knox didn't care for Octo's haughtiness yet again, and decided she made had indeed made the right choice when adding a that note next to his in-game name.
"Would you like us to give you some starter gear? Your a summoner so you should use alot of mana potions and perhaps some low level alchemy materials..." Caldo started to ask Knox before distracting himself with what it was that Knox would need to start leveling up efficiently.
"What about Steina's dagger?" Oconnar asked the rest of the party.
"My dagger isn't important anymore. If we can level up Knox enough he should be able to turn a normal dagger into a silver one due to his races inherent race characteristics." Steina explained that now that they had found Knox, she did not even need to grind through the annoying task for the petty dagger anymore.
It would take up much more resources than them simply power leveling Knox and him blessing a normal grade dagger.
'Why do they just think I will automatically follow then with my metaphorical tail wagging?' Knox thought to herself in bafflement.
But this must mean that these people will power level her! But she wasn't so sure what this whole mana thing they were going on about was...
Knox: What is Mana? Also I am more comfortable with a lance.
The whole party turned their heads towards her with big 'O's for mouths.
Did this kid really not know what mana was? They're a Summoner Angel, a super over powered combination right off the bat in beginning of the game, and they want to switch to become a puny lancer?
While the lancer class wasn't inherently bad, it was no where near as powerful as a summoner in-game.
Knox duly noted their shocked expressions and guessed she must have said something stupid... stupid to them at least.
Knox knew she wasn't stupid as her whole family had rather high IQ's so she knew this must be something game related. As she was still quite unfamiliar with this game, considering she just started it less than an hour ago.
Caldo cleared his throat, not so secretly signaling the others to behave.
They could gradually persuade this kid to shy away from melee combat if they treated them nicely.
Afterall, if you show respect to someone, they should in turn should show some respect back.
Just as Caldo was about to says that their group is fine with Knox's 'preferences', Knox had already sent another message.
And this message once again left him and the others completely baffled.
Knox; I'll just learn to summon lances and be a lance summonor.
The rest of the party's reply "...".
After about a minute of dumbfounded silence, Caldo suddenly broke out into a huge fit of laughter.
"Ahahahahaha! Knox so that's what you meant! While I dont know of any divine race weapon summoners, that doesn't mean it's not possible. At least none on the 13 and under servers anyway." Caldo said as he started to blabber on as if he'd known her since she was in the womb and they were best bossom buddies their whole life.
Knox really wanted to log off now. Why did these people continue to get weirder and weirder.
Maybe her maid Grenna was right. Online games were filled with socially awkward people. It definitely wasn't the best place to learn how to make new friends and a new life afterall.
But the important part of what he said was still caught by her ears like. He said that she could summon weapons? Knox wondered if she could use magic to launch them at people, or if she would have to use some type of complicated wind and or air spells of some kind to achieve what she had in mind.
Now that her little 9 year old brain was in full gear she wasn't really paying much attention when someone called a out her name.
Her real name.
Yes! Time to go off for the night and then she can sneak back on when she sees that the others are all offline.
Knox didn't want to look like an idiot in front of her new 'friends' so she decided she needed to do a little exploring and study up on this game.
Ironing our her resolve Knox interrupted the rest her party who were currently bickering about whether or not to call her out for her saying stupid things or to just go with the flow.
" I didn't sign up for thi-" The complaining Octo was about to finish his words when he realized a message popped up.
Knox is now Offline.
What? This kid just left after his goofy proclamation?!
Octo was about to bust a blood vessel before Steina interrupted him with a rather sharp reprimand.
"Look Knox messaged us that he has to go eat dinner now, read before you blow up. Are you really almost 13?"
Octo shut his mouth and looked at his interface.
Sure enough when he took the time to look it said" Knox: My family is calling me for dinner. I might not be back on tonight, so you guys don't wait for me. I'll be on tomorrow. It was nice meeting you all!"
Meanwhile, after Knox sent that message, she itmeditely logged off of the game, and powered off her dive gear.
After taking off the head gear, she rubbed her eyes a bit before opening them to see her head maid standing at the foot of her big frilly princess style bed.
" Young Miss, your family is almost all gathered at the dinner table. It would be best if she made haste in going there as well." Her head maid Grena said to her, a soft smile on her face.
"Alright, let us go." Mira said as she leaned down and jumped off the bed.
