Jumping down off the bed so suddenly, caused a excruciating pain to shoot through Miras whole body.
She hastily tried to correct her balance, but it was no use, she collapsed to the floor within seconds.
'These useless legs! I thought they said they were getting better.'
Small tears of grief, not pain, slowly welled up within her eyes and spilled out of her tearducts and cascaded down her small and ivory doll like face.
Small pieces of her light golden hair began to stick to her face because of her tears.
The maid Grena rushed to try and catch her young miss, but she had already began to open the bedroom door and thus was now to far away to get to Mira's side in time to keep the frail girl from falling down.
"Stupid legs! You said they'd get better!" Mira wailed in grief over her less than perfect legs.
Bending down Grena slowly helped Mira to her feet again, before moving her over and pushing her to sit down on the bed.
" Miss please be more careful, your body is more fragile than when you were younger."
" You mean before the accident..." Mira whispered with a rather sullen look on her face.
It had only been a about a year since the accident.
She still lived with guilt. Afterall, she was alive...
Grena asked, " Do you want the wheelchair miss?"
Mira looked at the last shafts of sunlight falling into her pale pink color coordinated room. The soccer posters on the walls, and electric keyboard that say next to the windowsill.
It was evening the her household. It was time for Mira to eat dinner. With her family.
Her family....
"Okay Grena we'll use the wheelchair." Said Mira.
Grena quickly went to a large closet in the left hand corner of the room and retrieved a small and ornate pale pink wheelchair from within its depths.
Turning around swiftly, she brought it over to the foot of Miras bed.
" Thankyou Grena." Mira thanked her maid in a rather disheartened tone.
After being helped into her stylized wheelchair, Grena proceeded to open her bedroom door and they both left her bedroom that over the past year had been her sanctuary and prison...
After getting in her houses newly refurbished elevator, they descended 2 floors until a ding was heard.
Being wheeled out of the elevator, Mira saw one of her elder brothers maids rubbing her red eyes in the corner of the hallway in the opposite direction of the dining room.
Her older brother must have been unreasonable again.
Mira had wondered how she couldnt tell how rotten that particular brother of hers was until her accident confined her to their mansion.
Seeing the elevator doors open, the maid quickly stopped what looked like feeling sorry for herself and came over to inquire if they required assistance.
"Misa Mira, Maid Grena, do either of you require this lowly ones assistance?"
Mira had always had a soft heart, and seeing this pretty maid with her long black hair pinned up in a simple bun on the back of her head, seemingly just having gone through something disheartening, she couldnt help but want to console her.
Unfortunately Grena was not in the best of mood because her mistress was late for the family dinner as she just replied to the other maid curtly, "No need we are just going to join the rest of the family for dinner."
Having said that, she hurriedly pushed Mira in the opposite direction of the other maid and the two quickly disappeared from her field of sight.
Meanwhile in the dining room, everyone looked up to see their crippled daughter, and respective crippled sister be wheeled into the dining room.
Her older sister Maynett couldnt help but let out a small and subtle scoff. The 12 year old clearly looked down on her younger half sister. Even though this wasn't her families house.
Both Miras mother and father looked at her, one with a somewhat greedy look, and the other with a pitying but loving gaze.
Mira decided she didnt have the energy to put up pretenses in front of this big family so she just said a simple "Good evening." As Grena wheeled her to her already set and waiting dinner spread.
Living in a family with 6 other children was tiring to say the least.
"Good evening daughter." Her mother promptly replied as she continued pouring herself a glass of pricey Champaign.
Mira sat between her sister Maynett and brother Mori.
Mori was her youngest half brother who was only 1 year younger than Maynett at the age of 11.
He didnt talk to the rest of the family often but would usually treat her especially nicely compared to most of her other brothers.
Mira decided she should treasure this brother of her more and said "Hi Mori." in her angelic like voice.
Unbenounced to her Mori froze abit before relaxing his body again as it was before her arrival.
However, the her eldest sister Sachiko who was already 17 couldnt help but notice her youngest and undoubtly weirdest brother and form a small frown on her face.
Was she simply imagining things? Or was...this brother of theirs always acting even weirder in front of their youngest half sister.
She decided she needed to keep a more careful eye on the two when they were together to find out.
After about to minutes of being seated at the table the eldest child of the household named Akane, decided to try and talk to his cute youngest sibling.
"How was your newest gaming system Mira? Did you have fun?" Akane said with a warm smile plastered across his face.
The 21 year old elder brother of hers was trying to throw out a olive branch, Mira decided she should at least attempt to talk to him even if they didnt really talk to each other ever.
"It was okay. I found this really cool game and some other kids even invited me to join their little group. There was a really domineering girl who was their second in command, but I think she secretly called the shots even though they had a different boy as their designated leader."
The whole family was abit stunned at her detailed examination of a power structure amongst a group of kids on a online game.
"Well thats... " Akane began to speak but seemed to be at a loss of words until one of his younger brothers interrupted him.
"She sounds like Sachiko!" Kasuke said cheerily with a cheeky smile on his somewhat overweight face.
