Chapter 7 - The Planning

As soon as Amy said those words, Ryan's expression hardened.

"Well.. you're marrying me for your father's wish and I'm marrying you for my family. Both of us have no idea about each other. So it's better to take some time to understand one another..." Amy hurriedly explained.

"Are you sure that you won't be the first one to fall for me?" Controlling his laughter, Ryan asked.

Noticing his arrogance, Amy felt like strangling him. "It depends on the situation." Though she has answered diplomatically, Amy is thoroughly irritated. "Falling in love with you? In your dreams! Just wait till you see my charm. I'll clearly wipe that arrogant smirk from your face." She slammed him in her mind.

Scanning at the girl who is throwing daggers at him through her eyes, Ryan again fought hard to control his smile. "Ok, just leave it to the future. Moreover, love is something that cannot be forced. So, anymore rules?"

After thinking for a while, Amy replied, "No"

"Mmm...ok. Good. Give me two days to take care of your family problems. After that, on Friday, meet me here at 8 in the morning." Finishing his conversation, Ryan stood up.

"Ok, will meet you on Friday." With that both of them went on their own ways.

Entering into his car, Ryan watched the image of the girl in his rearview and grinned. "Wait till I make you mine."

On the other side, Amy felt as though she is in a dream. She decided to go home instead of searching for a job.

When Regina saw her daughter entering into the house with a lost look on her face, she is scared witless. Rushing through her daughter she asked, "Amy! You ok? Is something wrong? What happened?"

Gazing at her anxious mother, Amy managed to snap out from her daze. "It's nothing Mom. Just that I feel a bit tired."

"It's ok dear. Health is more important than the job. You have been wandering around restlessly for the past week. Better take some rest. Mother will bring some porridge to your room."

Nodding her head, Amy entered into her room.

Looking at her daughter, Regina felt a pain in her heart. "Most of the girls at her age are enjoying their life. But because of their family situation, Amy has been burdened a lot... It's been a long time since I've seen her smile happily.." Sighing at her own thoughts, Regina started to prepare the porridge to rejuvenate her daughter.
