Listening to Ryan's explanation, the whole room is engulfed with silence. Regina and Ronald are totally astounded by this sudden turn of events. But since their daughter has chosen this particular man, they have no complaint. They have utmost trust in their daughter's choice.
After what it seem like a while day, Ronald enquired: "Where do you work?"
Amy already knew that Ryan doesn't have any intention of revealing his background. So she suddenly interfered in their conversation and said: "Ryan along with his friends has started a clothing business. It's been a while and he's doing great. He'll continue to grow and I believe in him."
"But... marriage is so sudden. We don't have much time for preparation," exclaimed Regina.
Sensing her worries, Ryan hurriedly explained: "We can just register our marriage now. As for a ceremony, we can do it later when the time is right. If not for my parent's condition, I would love to wait."
Amy's parents had a troubled look on their face. No matter what, they don't want to marry off their daughter that easily. But noticing their daughter's stubborn look, they knew that she has already decided to marry him.
"We'll confirm our decision tomorrow young man. Surely, you can wait for one more day right?" asked Ronald.
"Of course uncle, I'll come tomorrow to hear the good news." Ryan told with a smile.
When he got ready to leave, Amy said: "I'll see him out."
Once they were out, Amy comforted him saying, "I'll take care of the rest. Don't worry much." Ryan just nodded without saying anything.
"By the way..where did you learn to create a story like that. You really are a good actor and story teller."
"Hmm...where did..you..learn to do that?" Ryan said teasingly.
"Hahaha...got no other choice. You seem reluctant to speak about your job. So just covered up for you. You really should be happy to have such a thoughtful wife for you."
"Well.. whether I'll be happy or not, only time can tell the answer." Ryan said in a playful tone.
"Will see you tomorrow."
"Sure". Amy smiled waving her hand. Staring at Ryan's disappearing back, she walked back to her home.
Studying her parents face, she decalred: "Mom, Dad, I've decided to marry him. So please don't try to stop me."
"We're not trying to stop you dear, but... doesn't it seem too rushed" said Regina.
"Mom..I believe in him and I love him. I'm also planning to help him with his business."
Seeing her stubbornness, both of them have no choice but to accept it. When her brothers heard the news they were also surprised. Aran tried to talk her out of it, but of no use.
Next day, Ryan came to get their consent. Then along with Amy, both of them went to City Hall to register their marriage. Surveying the marriage certificate on her hands, Amy has a mixed feeling in her heart.
She is happy yet at the same time is worried. Peeking at the handsome calm face beside her, she thought, "I really want to know how my life will change with him by my side."
