In Qinlong kingdom, Emperor Qin is ruling in the forty-seventh year of the Great Qin Dynasty. The capital is bustling and lively where you can see the nobles and the royal family members every now and then. Spring has arrived and the people are busy with preparation of the lantern festival which has made the capital become more lively and bustling with activity. The shops and roads are decorated with lanterns, the children of various nobles families have come out to prepare for the lantern festival.

In Marquis of An's household the sevants were also busy for the preparation of the lantern festival, decorating with various lanterns. In the Lotus Courtyard, different types of flowers bloomed with tall trees acting as a shade at a certain distance with a pond filled with lotuses in between. In the inner room of the courtyard a maiden was lying in bed sleeping soundly. Light shone on room from the windows and the morning sun glow fell on the maiden which seemed to beautify the maiden's heavenly features even more.

"Young miss wake up today you have to visit the Matriach", a young maidservant called the sleeping girl accompanied with three others who busy preparing the necessities of the maiden.

Han QinJu woke up from her sleep, squinted her eyes at her personal maidservants who disturbed her. Suppressing a yawn she asked, "What happened so early?".

"Miss has forgotten Madam has told today we would be going to the second branch", Gin replied quickly for fear that her mistress would go back to sleep again.

QinJu frowned then remembered that there was indeed this matter and lazily said, "then get me ready", the got up from the bed.

Her maidservants has quickly brought the water basin to wash her face and helped her get dressed. QinJu choose a simple pale blue colour dress with plum blossoms embroidered on it and paring it with a light pink waist coat matching it with white jade hairpin with flower petals hanging from it and similar jade wristlet. After putting on a simple make up her maid servants have already brought breakfast on the table.

The maids looked at their young miss and sighed, their miss looks so beautiful that even a simple action would take the hearts of all the men let alone them who has seen their young miss from so small.

QinJu looked up from her rice bowl and knew that her four personal maids were appreating her beauty and raised her eye brows, "Do you know the reason for going to the second branch?"

The maids quickly replied from their reverie and Shin the eldest one of them replied, "maybe it is to greet the matriach before the lantern festival".

Yingyu follwed, "yes young miss after two days is lantern festival so maybe it is to pay respect to the matriach".

Lingyu just kept her head lowered and served her, everyone knew that thair younh miss was lazy despite being so talented and beautiful so they had to persuade her in many ways to make her move.Lingyu sighed in her heart serving her young miss was really not easy, other maids have to follow the orders of their masters but they have to persuade their master to give them orders.

QinJu finally finished her breakfast and went to the outer pavilion with her entourage where Madam Han, her mother was waiting for them.

A middle-aged lady with a beauty comparable with Qinju was waiting with her servants at the entrance of the gate. She seemed to be in her late twenties even though she already had two sons and a daughter. Madam Guo watched Qinju coming said in a helpless tone, "I should have remembered to tell them to wake you early".

"You know that I would still get up late", Qinju said in a spoilimg manner.

Guo Zhuyi couldn't help but sigh, "this girl..now hurry and get into the carriage".

She knew her daughter was too lazy to bother with things the other girls of her age liked and have long became adapted to it. It makes her feel distress as a mother but their was nothing she could do as long as her daughter was happy. Today's visit was important so she had to let Qinju accomoany her else her daughter would not set foot ooutside especially after her illness. Madam Guo internally sighed again for gher daughter and the mother and daughter sat in the carriage with the help of their servant girls and set off.
