Chapter 1 - Fighting obsession

"Hello, I've already hacked through their system and erased my tracks, everything from here on out is on you.

I'll check to make sure the transaction for your payment is successful, I'm happy doing business with you."

Jae Eun got off her phone rubbing her temples, 'BANG' she was so exhausted she couldn't even hold her head up hitting her forehead on her desk.

"So hungry..." During busy times Jae Eun often forgot to eat, now that she finally finished she destroyed the phone battery and left the room.

"Uncle Joon is there any food around?" Jae Eun waited for her uncle to reply back to her before giving up on even trying. Then a huge smile went across her small face, she slowly went into her secret stash where she took out instant udon noodle. 'My love we reunite once again.' She microwaved the udon counting down excitedly as it beeped. It may not be as tasty and beautiful as her grandfathers but the food itself held to much great memories to just stop eating.

"Hmmm so hot and delicious."

The steam lifted as she removed the lid letting it soak her face with a thin layer of water, the aroma filled the room smelling of udon she savored the smell and the taste of it.

Just as Jae Eun was about to finish a knife came flying towards her but instead of hitting her it hit the udon package forcing it onto the wall.

"M...my udon, how could you do this, it was innocent." Jae Eun was devastated seeing her udon murderd in front of her.

"Min Jae Eun!! I've told you multiple times no replacing udon for nutritious meals." The man was furious over Jae Eun's constant obsession for udon. He was a average hight man with a scar on of his right eye and where his middle finger should be on his left hand was nothing but a stub, his hair was long enough to be tied back leaving short strands left out of the pony. This man was the Uncle Joon former ex-assassin now a cafe owner and guardian of our main protagonist Jae Eun. They weren't related by blood but because of the connection he had with her grandfather he decided to take her in.

"But you weren't here to cook for me! What am supposed to do starve to death tell your comeback?" Jae Eun pouted over the death of her udon. 'Such a waste of good food.'

"Then you should starve to death tell I come back, if that's what it takes to feed you actual nutritious meals not some instant over processed food. He deeply sighed and held up a plastic bag showing it off to her.

"Sit down no more udon for a while, come on eat some Samgyetang. The ajumma was wondering about your health and made this for you it's also very nourishing."

Jae Eun's eyes were on the udon but it quickly shifted to the Samgyetang.

"Since the ajumma made this I'll make sure to finish it. Thank you Uncle Joon this time I'll forgive you for the murder of my udon."

"Just hurry up and finish you still have to attend school you know?"

Jae Eun skipped school most of the time, of course she still attended school but she always thought school was useless and most of the time many people even forgot she existed. As long as she had technology around her that's all that mattered.

Ajumma- Used to refer to any middle aged woman, also translates to aunt which does not actually refer to any family relations.

Samgyetang(ginseng chicken soup)- An iconic summer dish in Korea, it supposedly helps fight the summer heat and is also nourishing.
