Chapter 4 - Who Knew Today Would Be The Day

Her heart started to beat, no men has ever gotten so close to her like that beside family. She blushed looking away bitting her bottom lip.

Minsoo chuckled as she struggled in his arms. "Who knew today I would be the first person to ever reveal the iconic hacker Ms. Venus."

'You wanna talk business with me then bring it on' Jae Eun glared fixed at him.

"Haha what do you want from catching me, is it money? Just give me the numbers and I'll even personally bring it to you how about that."

"That won't work but how about you give me your time. You'd probably want your identity a secret correct?"

His eye's pierced at Jae Eun's making it like she's been stabbed by his glaring eyes'.

'I knew this man was trouble from the moment he walked in.'

"First answer me this how did you find my real identity." Jae Eun still had her murders aura around her.

"Isn't it obvious...your my wife and we're both from the underworld how come you don't even know your own members Venus."

Jea Eun was shocked "outside the underworld I'm the so call "slug queen" with thick glasses named Jae Eun not Venus the hacker. I don't want to be involved with other members of the underworld you all cause to much trouble always making it on head lines and news. Putting that all aside what are you talking about wife and did the Underworld send you?."

"I'll introduce myself again I'm Song Minsoo your husband and one of the leaders of many departments also known as the CEO of influence in Korea. Personally I came here to see who my wife is, in the underworld your profile is the most secretive and no one has ever actually met the hacker Venus. "

He finally released her knowing she wouldn't cause trouble.

Jae Eun sat herself down crossing her legs while they talked.

'Husband I don't get it, is he a stalker or even worse a phyco?'

"So now you know who I am what's the point? I lived quite a peaceful life until you came by claiming to be my husband, you know I'm kinda irritated."

"Sorry to hear that but I not only came here to see who my wife is but the Underworld decided that you an many others will be grouped up and participate in other missions together led by me." He gave her a blank expression not expecting much.

Jae Eun peeked up 'those jackasses really think I would cooperate, old geezers should just retire already.'

"Sorry but I like how my current life is, I hate doing troublesome things. It's true I'm considered a member in the Underworld but I don't like to associate with them, it's even more hard to even believe you're my quote husband."

Minsoo smiled the room around them turned cold.

"If you help us I'll tell you the truth about everything you need to know about your grandfathers death and are marriage hmmm how bout it?"

Jae Eun looked up her eyes widened with sadness. When she was growing up her father died in an accident and her mother abandoned her for her new husband, the only one who truly cared for Jae Eun was her grandpa and he was also the reason why she loved technology. Her grandpa was someone who worked on technology all his life he even taught her almost everything she knew today. All this time she thought her grandpa died of late stage cancer that was never discovered tell the moment he passed.

"My grandpa...doesn't have anything to do with the underworld he also died of late stage cancer." JaeEun couldn't help it her eyes watered she disliked it when she talked about her grandpa, it hurt to much to talk about him.

When Minsoo saw this it caught him off guard, he saw the girl's tear fall lightly. Against her pale face he couldn't help but touch her face wiping away the tears that had already fallen on her flushed cheeks.

She touched the hands that glided on her face, it was large and warm something like this reminded her of her grandpa when ever she had a mental break downs.

Jae Eun looked up in utter shock, she couldn't believe that a stoned face man was actually wiping her tears.

Jae Eun gently pushed away Minsoo's hand.

"Uh..sorry it's....I'm sure my grandpa died of cancer and he was only a regular man who loved technology, someone like him would never even know the Underworld existence and I never heard of this nonexistent marriage between you and I."

This time Minsoo could feel that Jae Eun was slightly warmer towards him, that warmth could melt his whole cold heart away.

"Well whatever you believed in since now about your grandfather is all false. He was we'll associated with the Underworld he even had a high position, he was a hacker like you but more ruthless and active. When I found out that you were his grand daughter it took all the higher ups by surprise but it made sense that the iconic mysterious hacker Venus would be related to him."

Minsoo's arms were folded as he was telling her he only looked out the setting sun.

Jae Eun looked down holding her hands.

"Did you know him personally?"

"Yeah of course I did, he also acted like a grandfather to me. You know before he passed he asked me to marry you; he wanted to make sure that his lovely grand daughter was in good hands of someone he could trust."

Jae Eun was trying to process to what Minsoo just said, there was a heavy pull on her heart that made it hard to breath.

"So he knew he was going to die and didn't even say goodbye...."

Jae Eun looked into the sky holding her emotion in check.

"Your grandfather arranged our marriage 3 years ago when you were 15. He also wanted me to give you this letter but because you counseled your identity so well it was hard to track you."

Jae Eun's hands shoock as she slowly reached out to get the letter.

It read-

[Dear, Kong Jae Eun

My beautiful granddaughter you must have already found out of my passing...

I was so very grateful that I was able to live life full of love and excitement everyday with you, those memories imprinted in my memories that will never fade. My Euna it always amazed me how you grew so fast. I'm so happy that you grew up so well even though you had a ruff childhood

I'm so sorry, you had to see me leave like that. I'm sorry that I couldn't see you turn 18 or even walk you down the aisle when you get married. I have so much to be sorry for but it will never make up for the time that you'll feel lonely.

You probably found out as well I arranged a marriage for you, but trust me he'll be your main support. But my Euna Grandpa loves you so much and I hope even when I'm gone you can still smile happily without me. So please Euna keep smiling brightly and instead of thinking the bad times remember the good time that we spent together. Thank you for being my granddaughter Euna.

Euna happy birthday, SARANGHAE ]

At the time of the letter it was written a few days before Jae Eun's birthday and when she found out her papas' death it was the day of her birthday. Since then Jae Eun despised celebrating her birthday.

When she was done reading she felt her own tears fall down uncontrollably hard she hadn't cried this hard since his funeral.

She felt lighter after reading his last goodbye to her.

'So he did say goodbye, it just took 3 whole years to say it, goodbye papa please let fate decide to put us together in our next life Grandpa saraghae.'

She looked up into the sky having a feeling he really did leave with no regret.

As she cried Minsoo threw his coat on top on her waiting for her to stop crying. He didn't know how to comfort her but he felt it be wrong if he did, all she needed was alone time to catch up for the time she lost.

SARAGHAE~ in Korean means I love you
