Chapter 16 - Maid Attack (Part 2)

Dark Lord of Tartarus

***

The maids moved forward until they got close to the gates.

"Let me handle this."

"Hoh. You're finally going all out big sister?" Ambrosia said.

"No. I'm only going to open this troublesome gate. Your slashing weapons won't be good at blasting this gate open."

"Alright then, please do what you will." Mira said.

A lance appeared out of thin air in Aesyla's right hand. The lance has a dominant black color then golden lining and markings. The lance has a pretty intricate and fantastic design.

Soldiers started to gather on the other side of the gate pointing their weapon at the maids.

"You there! Do not move any further or we'll shoot!" One of the soldiers warned.

"Seriously? Have they not learned from what just happened?"

"It's fine Mira. I'll just take them out with the gate."

She lifted her foot back, she was in a leaping stance. She aimed her lance at the gate. Then she leaped to the gate and in an instant, the gate was destroyed, and the soldiers blasted away with it. The blast wave was too strong that the soldiers were blown away in fast speed and when some hit the buildings, their back got crushed and flesh splattered then they died. The ones who were lucky enough to not hit the buildings got blown away and ricocheted on the ground, of course, it was a strong impact, they may have survived but they were groaning in extreme pain.

Ambrosia and Mira then walked near Aesyla after the gate was cleared. Mira on Aesyla's right side and Ambrosia on the left.

"Some still survived huh." Aesyla said in an annoyed tone.

"No worries, we'll let the minions finish them." Mira said.

Mira felt something was heading her way. She turned to her right and waved her staff in high speed, blocking all attacks heading for her but more shots were still coming. The shooting was coming from the tower.

Ambrosia also heard something on her left, so she turned her head to look and she saw dozens of shots coming her way from the tower, but she didn't do anything. When the magical particles were very close to her physical body, the particles just disappeared, there wasn't even a scratch on her.

"Say, Mira, why do you even bother using your staff against their attacks when we have the Dark Protection?" Ambrosia asked in a gentle tone.

"Well, it's more fun this way."

"Really now? Hmmm, it didn't even affect Sia, which means their range weapons are below 60, they don't also seem they have any melee weapons. Anyway, just be done with them." Aesyla said.

"[Shockwave]."

Mira cast a spell on the tower and the area began to shake vigorously and the ground with it. Then after a few seconds, the tower began to crumble and the guards on it began to fall with it and got caught in the rubbles then the dying died because of the shockwave's force, their flesh got crushed.

"Then, let me witness your suffering. [Crimson Decay]."

Ambrosia cast a spell and a wide radius of blood red circle appeared. The tower's metals and other composition began to crack a lot then it started to age, the tower began to crumble for its support turned to ash. The guards that were once on top of the tower and was not included in the area of effect because they were too high, fell to the ground, and their bones broke in fall. Then their skins began to decay, their skin began to look grey and began to crack.

"AAAAAAAAH!"

"AAAAAAAAH!"

"AAAAAAAAH!"

The guards screamed in agony as their entire body began to rot, and then a few seconds they became ashes.

"One tower left." Aesyla looked behind her to the minions. "Let's have the minions handle it."

The skeletons began to storm the site, killing everyone. Two golems attacked the last tower and it didn't take long to be destroyed.

"I'll stay outside, give me ten skeleton warriors and two golems and I'll handle the task here."

"All right Sia, I'll leave this to you when we're inside the mine." Aesyla said.

The maids pressed onward while their minions storm the surroundings.

One soldier was running towards them and shooting the skeleton chasing it, but the shield was blocking his attacks.

The man tripped and fell in front of the maids. The maids saw the soldier's face was filled with fear, then the soldier saw the maids, his eyes widened a little at the sight but that didn't last long for he heard the skeleton's armor clanging and was closing in on him.

In fear, the soldier frantically crawled away from the skeleton in a prone position, and then he turned around and aimed at the skeleton. The skeleton raised its sword and the soldier was about to pull the trigger but someone shouted.

"WAIT!"

The maids then quickly looked at the source of the sound, it was Ambrosia.

Ambrosia ran to the soldier in a girly manner.

"You skeleton, stand down. Find another target."

The skeleton lowered its sword and turned to go to a different direction and find another target.

"Are you alright?" Ambrosia asked as she lowered herself to the level of the soldier. "Are you hurt? I'm sorry that skeleton chased you." She said in a very worried manner.

Aesyla and Mira had a bitter look on their faces as they saw the event in front of them.

The soldier saw the girl, and his eyes widened. He was bewildered for a moment. But later on, as he relaxed a little, he began to see the girl more clearly. She could only be described as an absolute beauty, the soldier felt like everything around him was moving slowly. It felt like it was just was just him and the goddess.

He realized he has not yet answered the blood red-haired goddess' question so he frantically said.

"Y-Yeah! I'm alright."

"Thank goodness."

As he heard that the goddess cared, he felt warmth in his chest.

The blood red hair and eyes, the beauty, and the care the goddess showed her, he's in love. The goddess looked like she was shining, and everything around him felt like it didn't matter anymore, he had totally forgotten that he was just chased by a skeleton monster.

"Then please get up."

The goddess extended her hand and offered her hand. Her hand was pale like her skin, it looked so smooth and soft.

The soldier slowly reached for the hand of the goddess, but before he could reach it, he felt a sting. The soldier was confused for a moment then he continued to move his hand, but it was at this moment that he felt strange.

His hand and fingers won't move, and then his hand fell to the ground.

"Huh?" The soldier made a sound.

Then blood began to spurt out of his arm. The soldier began to panic as he realized what happened.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The soldier wailed in pain and agony. He also began to feel extremely anxious when he realized that his hand was cut. He doesn't know how it happened, probably it was that stung he felt.

His blood spurted out but it didn't reach the goddess, it floated up. He looked up and there he just noticed, there was an orb of blood floating atop of the goddess. Then he quickly looked at the goddess.

"What's wrong? Why wouldn't you reach for my hand?"

A wicked smile formed on the face of the goddess – no, she isn't a goddess. The smile of an evil being, and eyes of amusement, the word "goddess" is absolutely not the right word to describe her.

"M-Monster!"

"That's rude, and I was just about to help you."

The girl stood up.

"How dare you call me a monster? Hmm, maybe that's alright. Yes."

The girl looked at the soldier's eyes with an evil stare.

"I'm a beautiful little monster."

The girl smiled tenderly.

The soldier began to feel weak. He wanted to close his eyes, in other words, his dying. He has lost a lot of blood and being absorbed by the orb. Then a few seconds later he closed his eyes and his entire body laid on the ground. The soldier died.

Ambrosia returned to her sister's side.

"I'm now certain. You're a sadist… an extreme sadist."

"That's wrong Aesyla! I'm not extreme, I'm just a sadist."

"If you say so."

"I finally understand you, Sia, I'm actually a bit happy."

"Hoh. Really now Mira? Should I say thank you?"

"You're welcome."

"A-ah?"

Ambrosia used her nail to cut the soldier's hand at a tremendous speed, a speed that would not be seen by a naked eye. Her nails are a natural weapon and won't be exactly included as part of the body for it can be used as a weapon. It is one of her racial abilities as a vampire.

"Let's get going."

Mira and Ambrosia nodded in agreement of Aesyla.

The three maids moved on forward until they reached near the mine entrance. They saw a few of soldiers still going inside the mine.

"There must be a lot of them in there." Mira said.

"Then this is where we leave you. As agreed, you'll have ten skeleton warriors and two golems."

"Yup." Ambrosia said.

"Then Mira let's go." Aesyla turned around to her back. "Minions come! Leave ten skeleton warriors and two golems here, the rest of you with me!"

Mira and Aesyla went inside the mine then the twenty skeleton warriors and eight golems followed behind them.

Ambrosia returned to the middle of the site. There she saw three soldiers running towards her and being chased by four skeletons.

"You three, hold it right there. Skeletons stop." She pointed to them and then held out her hand to signal the skeletons to stop.

The three soldiers immediately stopped as they saw and being called by the beautiful girl. But they know she's not a normal girl, they were all surrounded by monsters and a girl with a maid uniform here, it doesn't fit well with the situation – in other words, it's strange and suspicious.

The soldiers all pointed their weapons at Ambrosia. As she saw that, she furrowed her brows. Annoyed, she cut all their weapons in half in an instant using her natural weapon.

"If you humans want to live a little longer, the three of you get on your hands and knees."

The soldiers looked at each other in confusion at the same time feeling anxious.

"What are you waiting for? Hmmm, looks like I need to make an example. Skeleton, kill that one."

Ambrosia pointed at one of the soldiers standing, and in a moment the soldier got fatally cut on his back then fell to the ground. He died.

The remaining soldiers shrugged in shock, and then they quickly went on their hands and knees.

"Hmph, good."

Ambrosia sat on one of the soldiers and looked at the human in front of her.

"Don't you even dare move an inch." She told the human in front of her.

As she sat on the human, she felt the human was shaking.

"Stop shaking or I'll kill you myself."

When the soldier heard that he forcefully stopped his shaking.

"Now then, what should I drink…? A hot tea is not good to drink at this moment, then… Ah, iced tea would be good. Lemon flavored? Yeah that's good."

A drinking glass then appeared out of thin air on Ambrosia's hand.

"You better have a flat back." She told the human in front of her. "And stop shaking or you'll spill the drink."

Ambrosia then put the glass on the soldier's back then a pitcher appeared and it was filled with lemon flavored iced tea. Then she poured the drink on the glass. After that, she put the pitcher on the back of the soldier. Next, she took the glass and gently drank the delicious iced tea.

"Ah right. Minions, start smashing and clearing the entire place!"

The golems then started smashing and crushing the buildings. At the same time the skeletons finishing all the remaining opposition.

"Now, all I have to do is wait. Of course, I need to watch out for any possible unexpected events."

Ambrosia then relaxingly drank her drink.
