I'm gonna be honest. It's hard for me to keep my eyes closed for an extended period of time. So when Brit told me, "don't close your eyes", I panicked and opened my eyes. "Jamie," Brit growled, "close your eyes." I closed them again, but then opened them. "JAMIE!" I turned to her, but when I looked where she was, she became a flash of light and disappeared. "Uh, Brit?" I looked around. There was just an endless plane of darkness as far as I could see. "Alright, I get it, I'll close them." I closed my eyes, but nothing changed. The same feeling of suffocation and emptiness. I opened my eyes again, and there was still nothing.
I sat for three minutes, looking for something, or someone. Anything really. As I looked though, I found, more nothingness. Brit said this was outside the Universe, an area where even God had no power. I was beginning to see why.
In the distance, I saw a red light, coming closer to me. "What is?" I propelled myself toward it. As it drew closer, I realized it wasn't just one light. There were 7. "Hello?!" I yelled into the void, hoping to get a response from it. Nothing. "Are you lost?!" Still nothing. I got closer, and began recognizing the shape of eyes. Eyes? That's when I realized. The only thing that was supposed to be here was Cthulhu. "SHIT!" I started moving away from it, but my previous momentum was proving to be hard to change. "Come on, move dammit!" I slowly began moving backwards. I looked behind me, and I started seeing more of a form.
It didn't even have legs, or at least, I couldn't see them. It was covered in scales, excluding its wings and head. Its wings were bat-like, just like Bill's, but one of them was torn and mangled. It had two growths coming out of its shoulders that looked like shoulder pads, each had spikes shooting out at random, some digging under its own scales. Its head was at least three times the size of me, and covered in skin that looked rotting. It had tentacle-like things coming from its lower jaw, each one a different size than the other.
I don't get how it was impossible for most to comprehend though. There was nothing about how it looked that made me think someone like Scorpio or Brit couldn't see it. It was massive, yes, but it wasn't impossible. I felt it watching me as I drifted away, every second, it was getting closer. I looked behind me, and all of its eyes were trained on me. "COME ON BRIT!" It grew closer, and all I could think of was Lucifer. He'd take out Chasan. He'd kill Bill. Nothing will remain, he'll destroy the whole Galaxy looking for me. I closed my eyes, and opened them again. When I did, there was a flash of light, and Cthulhu screeched, and flew away.
Another, much smaller flash of light blinked, and Brit appeared. "JAMIE?!" I moved toward her. "Don't do that again. Close your goddamn eyes, and don't open them until I say so."
"Alright, I get it now."
We walked out of the restaurant. "So," Brit looked at the harbor, "What did you see?"
"What do you mean?"
"When you were in the void. I know you saw it again, I can tell by your eyes. They're dull."
"Oh, that. I, don't really remember. I mean, I know I saw it, but I don't know what I saw." Brit wrote something down in a notebook, an put it away. "Well then, we should get back."
"Yeah, I'm really tired. I need to get some sleep."
