The following morning, Corey is once again on the train heading to Sanctuary.
'I will be much more careful this time. However, who was ever in charge of players safety should pay me a reimbursement check!'
Corey is only one stop away from his location, and he's currently wearing a town girlish outfit with glasses on his face.
'He hehehe… no one will see through this disguise!"
He waits for the train to stop at Sanctuary Avenue, and gets off slowly looking around for any thugs lingering behind him.
It takes him a moment to get down the staircase, and to cross the street to Sanctuary Studious Headquarters.
"Hey… you! Please don't cut in line!"
The man giggles before he looks back at the weird man waiting on line.
Corey can only shake his head at him. "Ugh, I'll just weather this storm until I get my new card." He mutters joyfully under his breath causing a chilling feeling to spread off of him. The man in front of him, on the other hand, smiles thinking about his unlimited future.
Corey can see the day dreams on many of the people in the line's faces. This includes One girl in particular, and she happens to look minorly familiar to Corey. However, the chance of Dream Knight looking so much like her avatar is one in a few hundred thousand. She is a girl in his guild, but he stops thinking about that and begins humming a song in his head.
An hour later, after countless people smiled with new cards in hand, it is that man that cut him in line's turn. As he walked up to the booth, the lady at the window pops her bubble gum.
"Hurry up, and give me the card…"
The man smiles and hands over his level 68 archer card, two levels away from the max level in <
The girl puts her head on her hand. "Yes… your welcome… Next!"
She hands him the card before he curses under his breath at his unfair treatment. With his anger on his fists, he punches out at Corey who's looking down at his cellphone.
Corey seems to somehow move dodging the fist before the man falls.
"Oops! You almost hit me there… Sorry for making you fall." Corey smiles and walks up to the register as the man gets up extremely angered.
"Hmph, you little shit! I'm going to—"
"Boom!"
A security guard with a baton hits the man in his thighs before Corey looks back and shakes his head.
"Heh… no one's going to get in our way today old friend. He says to his card as the lady pops her bubble once more.
'Heh… another weird guy who spent too much time playing a game.' She looks at the screen and drags all his items over to his new VRMMORPG account. This process was a security measure from Sanctuary studious to ensure no deception with the new accounts. This lady, however, doesn't take a glance at the screen name and has no idea he's actually the Thrasher!
"Here, please enjoy the new expansion. May a new World Rise from within you!"
She puts a stamp on the card and gives it to Corey. A second later, though, a light glows on the screen telling her to stop Corey form moving. When she sees this light flashing, she angrily gets up from her chair and gives the card to Corey.
"Ugh, they found a problem with your account. You're going to have to go up to the second floor to talk to a GM…"
Corey takes the card and sighs. "Are you serious? What's wrong with the account?"
"Listen lady… don't cause me any problems or I'm going to have to call security… Next!"
With a sigh, Corey walks off the line and goes over towards the elevator. After making it to the second floor, he expects to find a chair to sit on. Instead, though, he sees a few men, much larger than him, smiling at him.
"Thrasher! My man! Where have you been all my life?"
Corey has never been called his screen name, Thrasher, in public before and immediately puts up his hands up in defense. "What do you two want?"
The men in front of him smile and wave at him. "We're just sent you here to escort you to the boss. He's waiting for you in the back room."
At this time, Corey hears the sound of stilettoes and his favorite song is playing in the background. This is the song by the Acrylic Ghosts, Spooky Holiday.
'Has someone decided to throw me a birthday party? My life long wish of getting a surprise party is being fulfilled!'
A second later, Corey feels a pat on the back and turns around seeing a lady in business attire smiling at him.
"It's him! The God of our game is here, Thrasher! We've finally found him!"
"Yes… it took us long enough! Michigan… please take him to the back and give him the machine for our mistake…"
"Machine," Corey replies and looks at the two CEO's of the company. He recognizes them from their Game Master characters and gulps in excitement before he says.
"You two… you're not going to throw me a party?" He shows some hesitation in his voice before he begins laughing.
"Heh! I'm just kidding! However, what machine are you giving me… I already preordered the X1 unit 10 weeks ago…"
"Heh… that old piece of junk! You don't need that… we're giving you the Full immersion X7. With this new version, you'll be able to better experience the taste of the food, and battle."
Michigan nods her head before they arrive by the machine. It's actually packed into a really small bag, and Corey takes the bag for the new machine labeled X1.
"What size is it," he asks about the suit that comes with it.
"Medium…"
"Does it have the complete VR skin apparatus inside?" Corey imagines it be hard to fit the entire kit in such a small box.
"Yes… it's the least we can do for almost getting you killed. Those Thug sure hit you hard yesterday… If you weren't so lucky, your card would've gotten stolen, and we would've had to delete your old account."
Corey nods his head. "Luckily, I kept it safe in a special place… I realized they might want it, so I hid it well…"
Michigan smiles at him and gives him the bag.
"Well… please inform us of any problems! If you wish to talk to us GM's while you're in the game, just add GM Albatross and GM Michigan to your list of friends…"
Corey accepts this offer and makes sure to remember their names. "Well, thank you I suppose! Thank you for making the game by the way… You two made my child hood a better place…"
"Thrasher… your welcome… Now, get out of here before our staff maul you…"
Michigan smiles before she lets go off his hand. "… Well, good luck in the servers… and… your disguise is perfect. I almost thought you were a girl!"
Corey giggles before he looks down realizing he hasn't changed yet. "Ah! Didn't want to get robbed. Please excuse me!"
The two security guards walk up to Thrasher with dejected expressions.
"Ah… we thought the legendary Thrasher was a girl… how disappointing."
"Yes… it would've been better if I could've dated Thrasher…"
They walk him over towards the elevator before he goes downstairs. Michigan and the Ceo look out the window watching him walk towards the subway.
"You know… considering how rich he could be why do you think he never sold his legendary Magma equipment?"
