Chapter 8 - Goblins

Dream Knight sends Thrasher a message after meeting up with Purple Monarch.

They are hoping to have him join the team and have been waiting here for nearly twenty minutes. In those twenty minutes, a few other player already reached level 10, and she's getting bored. In fact, she tirelessly has been staring at Purple Monarch's face.

"I was not expecting you to be so tall…" She looks up at Purple Monarch who smiles at her.

He's close to six feet five tall. Some people might mistake him for a boss, and that was if they were being kind. She could only imagine what this poor boy was called as a child. Giraffe, long neck… big foot. A lot of names came to her head and he finds it funny that she's not saying anything about it.

At this point, Dream Knight's eyes start watering before he pats her on the back.

"Heh, I know I'm tall, but it makes me an awesome tank! I promise I will not let our leader down."

Dream Knight rolls her eyes hearing the word leader and looks at Thrasher's Avatar. "Ugh, he should really be out of the auction house already. Did one of the NPC's kidnap him?"

"Maybe he doesn't like how you look," Purple Monarch says.

"Nope… he definitely likes my appearance…" She stomps her foot.

"Are you sure?"

"Definitely," Dream Knight replies and flicks her head away.

"Well, if you are so sure… Just send him a message."

"I'm a girl! Why don't you send him a message Monarch!"

Purple Monarch shakes his head before he opens up the window. It takes him a second to enter in Thrasher.

"Uhm, what should I say… Will he like me?" He is worried that Thrasher won't find his size appropriate for their party of three.

There was many quests for three people, and these three worked together in the old version. However, he made his player a dwarf, and everyone assumed he had a problem with his size. However, it was because he was tall, and not what everyone thought.

"Ugh, well, everyone else is moving around! I'm going to hit him!"

"He might not like that…" Purple Monarch said, "You heard the stories about him, right?"

"Purple, you're kidding?" Dream Knight finally sends him a DM. "Well, lets see if he answers this time…"

The phone seems to beep pleasantly before Thrasher answers. "Hey, where are you guys?"

Dream Knight sighs before she pings a location on the map. "We're by the mission board! Hurry up and get here!"

"On my way… Sorry, I unlocked a new profession…"

Purple monarch leans down and looks at the camera. It's coming from her watch and Thrasher yawns before he squints. "Wow, is that you Purple Monarch. No wonder you were a dwarf!"

"I know… don't tease me guild-head. My entire child hood was horrible."

"Well… then… I won't call you giraffe." Corey said this before he ran around the corner and saw the long neck character of Purple Monarch.

These two are sort of like best brothers, and had known each other for a long time. It's almost as if this is a small family that meets on the street, and Dream Knight hands him a flyer.

"Here… take this quest with us?" She smiles at Corey before he scans the flyer with his user interface.

"Ding! Host has accepted Quest, slay the Hard neck Wolves."

[Quest: Slay the Hard Neck Wolves]

[The Hard neck wolves have invaded the blue bay forest. Please kill all the wolves before the timer is up. Mission reward will be dependent on time. Current record for mission: Not granted]

Corey watches the flier disappear before he looks up at Purple Monarch. "So, really, why are you so tall… Where is your family from?"

"I'm not answering that, Thrasher. Now, let's go before the Arachnid's return. I'm sick of killing spider freaks."

Corey laughs before a third hand appears in front of him. "Well, you're standing by a spider freak, and I don't appreciate it!"

"Oh… huh, how did you get that?" Dream Knight replies looking at the illusive third arm.

"Long story, but I beat some guy… and now I have an additional arm for an extra sword. It does 10% damage extra. Pretty useful right?"

Purple Monarch nods his head with some hesitation present in his steps. "Uhm, can I get it! I can finally be a high DPS tank… my dream is fulfilled."

Dream Knight shakes her head looking at Thrasher's stunned expression. "Guild leader isn't going to be able to answer this, Purple. Let's just find our own hidden professions."

Monarch sighs before he looks out on the map.

"Well… I think we should seriously get out of here… I'm only level 7, and I'm falling behind the lead pack. However, Thrasher… you're on top. Why the hell are you level 18?"

It would normally take a few days to get to level 18, but with the extra equipment it was rather fast for these three. However, a few skilled players were level 10, and they were ahead of Purple Monarch. His competitive spirit was blazing nearly scorching his teammates.

"Uhm… I completed an unwinnable quest, met a Lolli who didn't know what a workshop was, and had to turn her down because she can't join our team. However, would you two want to be part of my workshop?" He looks at Dream Knight and then at the tall Purple Monarch.

"We don't have to do names or anything, but I think it be cool to be in the same space."

Dream Knight hesitates before she starts playing with her foot against the dirt. "Uhm, if I join, do I get my own room?"

Thrasher nods his head before Purple Monarch joins in. "Well, I'm only joining if the ceilings are high enough… Where do you live?"

"I'll DM you both the information… However, this is a really dumb idea, but I love it!"

Dream Knight smiles at him before she begins heading towards the forest. "Anyways… captain… after you."

Thrasher nods his head and walks in front of the huge Purple Monarch. "Yes, I'll take the shade any day."

In a moment, they are in front of the forest before the quest timer activated.

"Ding, mission start!"
