"I've been hearing some complaints about you lately."
Sitting calmly in the chair across from the elegant refined man, Mimi takes a serene sip of her honey milk tea.
The two were currently sitting in Mimi's established restaurant EMIRI in a private room, discussing plans, potential contracts, and sometimes random topics - most of which Mimi had to start otherwise they'd be sitting in silence.
While doing so, they consumed tea and coffee in the morning light.
And of course under Mimi's order, a few delicious treats!
"Oh my, really? I get complaints from many people, mind narrowing down whom it may be?" Mimi grinned from behind her teacup.
"Your own fellow colleagues," Tobias spoke bluntly.
Mimi couldn't help sigh inwardly. Seems like some people were already getting impatient. Tsk, tsk, judging based on first encounters truly shameless.
Mimi placed her teacup down, mocking an expression of shock and despair.
"Oh my! And to think I was so kind as to provide them their own space, yet they still detest me." Mimi pouted her rosy lips. "What a pity."
Tobias continued watching the young girl as she acted out her show of pity. Yet all she got in response was an unreadable glance her way.
Compared to her disguise as Andras and the Mimi at Glory Trade Corporation, the young girl sitting across from him was dressed in a light purple dress that hugged tightly against her fragile petite body.
Her once dyed pink hair at the edges was reverted to its original silky brown, ending near her neck.
Despite her angelic appearance, a mature aura instantly surrounded her - complementing her blossoming facial features.
Surely when she grew up, she'd be a stunning beauty that'd cause fish to sink gracefully and geese to fall gently from the sky.
Tobias continued to gaze at the charming girl with deep searching eyes that the girl hadn't seemed to notice.
With his legs crossed and head resting against his fisted hand leaning against the chair, he examined the girl perform her 'betrayed maiden' act.
Getting no reaction Mimi pouted even further.
"Mr. Itou you're no fun!" Mimi whined with furrowed brows.
"Oh? Why's that?" Tobias arched a handsome brow with interest flashing beneath his tender dark eyes.
"Clearly there's a lovely pitiful maiden sitting gracefully in front of you," Mimi motions her hands towards herself. "Yet all you can do is look at me with those dull eyes!"
"Dull eyes?" Tobias smiled fondly towards her words.
"What are you a Mockingbird?" Mimi said while snatching a pastry from the table.
A faint sensual smile appeared on the man's face as he places the bottom of his palm over his mouth while observing the girl with amusement.
Mimi twinkled her eyes rapidly towards the gorgeous man before her.
Damn! She wishes she brought her camera with her!
"Mr. Itou you truly are too good looking for your own good." Mimi sighed helplessly while sipping her fragrant tea. "Someone as handsome as you don't even realize the attention he receives."
Drinking her tea with shut eyes, her long dark lashes fluttered.
"Who said I didn't notice?" The man's deep voice suddenly spoke.
"Pfff--!" Mimi choked on her tea.
She stared at the man who she assumed as dense to be watching her with his strong arms rested on his firm lap.
"Eh? So you've noticed?" Mimi said wryly twinkling her brilliant eyes dramatically.
The man merely hummed in response.
So he wasn't oblivious.
"I don't pay attention to things that maintain no value and are meaningless to me." Tobias's husky voice spoke in a low tone, his face shifting away from Mimi to look out the glistening window.
Mimi once again stared at the man with a dazed expression.
Why did she feel like there was some hidden meaning behind his words?
Instantly pushing that thought in the back of her mind, Mimi's expression returns to her usual beaming grin.
"Going back to your previous statement Mr. Itou," Mimi folds her slender delicate legs. "There's no need for you to worry, even with everyone's current complaints my work will nevertheless succeed.
I'm not one to give up so easily. Sometimes one must purposely make themselves appear useless to hide their true power."
This way she could easily hide among the crowd while observing some unwanted pests...
Instantly hearing her phrase Tobias merely grunts while bobbing his head and continuing to gaze out the glowing window with complicated charming eyes.
