Still, in the elevator, Mimi knew her life was finally coming together, although hidden she was making an effort and displaying her true talents to the world.
But deep down, everything to Mimi felt empty.
Power was something she never sought, money, sure it was nice to have but she didn't once enjoy any extraordinary experiences with the green paper.
The thought of having a more considerable influence and power over people tired her.
She could achieve her goals so easily yet she held back because she never desired for it to corrupt her.
That's how Emily probably died.
A car accident they said.
Mimi knew better, if the car was going normal speed there was no way Emily - who consistently was a stickler for safety, would ever encounter an accident.
She knew someone was behind her sister's death, and it was all because of power.
Seven-years-ago, Mimi had overheard her family speaking of Emily betraying their family over a possible incident that Mimi didn't completely know the details on.
She never asked Alec, knowing her only outcome would be denial.
She was secretly trying hard to dig up her sister's case and hopefully find out the truth on the matter.
Not many knew - heck even Alec didn't know that Emily was Mimi's half-sister. Born from the same father but completely different mothers.
He was a lustful man who took in many mistresses to build his family bloodline.
To his disappointment his first child was a girl - he had hoped to end up with a boy to take on the family business.
But soon Emily blossomed into a successful businesswoman with extraordinary talents and love given to her in every direction.
Emily's mother died from an illness and was soon replaced by Kenji's mother along with Seth's mother. In the end, he remarried once more to Lillian.
The family began forming a group of highly talented powerful people... until Mimi was born.
Born a girl she was already given the disadvantage, where her mother died during childbirth since her body wasn't strong enough to handle the birth.
Mimi mostly grew up without parent love, until Emily promptly took in her little sister accompanying her through the hell she was forced to live in.
She was her support, Mimi's only need to move on in this hateful greedy world.
Without her, Mimi felt like a hollow shell moving without any control of her actions.
With no one to cherish and care for you...all that is left is to simply grow up a little faster and shut yourself out from the world.
Revealing her violet eyes, Mimi smiles bitterly at the elevator ceiling. A rush of sadness and hate shows in her eyes as she recalls the bittersweet memories.
Caring for people truly was troublesome...
Lost in her own thoughts, Mimi snaps her head back in place as she hears the elevator door open.
Noticing it stopped two floors above Alec's, Mimi awaits the workers to enter.
With the elevator door sliding open, a group of female workers walks in completely ignoring Mimi as they chat bashfully.
"Did you see that man earlier? He was so gorgeous I felt my whole body burn!" One of the girls squeals.
"I know what you mean, if I had a man like that I wouldn't be able to—" The second girl begins to speak before her friend jabs her in the rib.
Frowning, the girl stares at her friend with a harsh glare.
About to voice her complaints she notices Mimi in the back of the elevator with a mischievous smirk.
Clamping her mouth shut, the girl's eyes widen before quickly composing herself.
"Ah...Ms. Hirogori, I-I didn't see you there!" She scratches her head awkwardly. "I apologize!"
Staring at the older girl treating her so formally Mimi giggles softly.
Who knew having such a dominant brother would lead to such worship. It was kind of fun!
"Aww, come on no need to be shy," Mimi chuckles. "I too enjoy girl talk I am after all in the prime of my youth."
"R-right," The girl laughs. "Well, we were thoroughly discussing a man we saw in the lobby earlier. Nothing genuinely interesting!"
"Oh?" Mimi says in a teasing tone. "Did he make your insides burn with a passion? He must have been drop dead gorgeous!"
The group of women stares at Mimi with an odd expression.
They absolutely didn't feel comfortable talking about this to their bosses little sister, not to mention she was so young.
Just as the girls were figuring out how to interact with the young girl, the elevator door opens up to Mimi's floor.
"Aww, what a shame," Mimi whines. "Just when I was striking up the conversation!"
Stepping out the elevator, Mimi begins to walk towards her brother's office when she pauses to turn towards the group of girls.
"I hope we can speak again sometime, hopefully, we can chat about some more detailed things next time!" Mimi smiles brightly. "Describe to me what you would do if you enjoyed such a man, I'm fascinated to know!"
The group of girls eyes widen, their faces reddening brightly as the elevator door closes on them separating them from the young girl.
Feeling refreshed and fueled after her routine of teasing, Mimi makes her way to her brother's office.
...
"I'm sorry I'm late!" Alec barges into his office panting.
Mimi sits back in a black leather chair with her legs up on the desk, in her hand was her phone as she continues to play mini-games on it.
Looking up for a brief moment at her panting brother, his blond hair scattered and sweaty, his cheeks were red from running as he rushed his way up into his own office.
"Yes, you are big brother. Now you have to provide me double!" Mimi pouts soon noticing Jean calmly make her way into the office.
Hopping out of her brother's seat Mimi rushes towards Jean embracing the woman's massive chest.
It seemed to be a habit that Jean along with Alec had already gotten used to.
"Jeanie! I missed you, come out to eat with me!" Mimi says playfully as she looks up at the young woman.
Sighing, Jean pats Mimi's head softly, "Mimi, you know business before pleasure."
Giggling, Mimi pulls away from the woman to lean against the wooden desk.
After regaining his breath, Alec pulls out his phone to schedule a reservation at a restaurant.
"Good, let's go!" Mimi walks out of the office with Jean close behind.
"Mimi, why do you always put so much pressure on me to come when will just end up leaving?" Alec complains placing his golden hair back neatly.
Smiling, Mimi presses the elevator button. Tilting her head to the side she looks at Alec.
"It's more fun that way," Mimi says mischievously.
Alec cries internally, he never thought when he agreed to work with Mimi he had really sold his soul to the devil herself!
He could merely think of this as her payment for not taking credit for her work that he used. Alec hoped she would be kind to his weak soul.
Turns out he was incredibly mistaken!
The three soon drive to a modest popular diner in the center of town. In a private room, Mimi orders herself a chocolate milkshake and burger with two sets of fries while Jean sticks to a classic coffee with sugar.
Alec, on the other hand, stares bitterly at the food arranged on the table.
This was going to cost a great deal of money on his part...
After taking two bites of her fries, Mimi allows Jean to discuss business deals as well as their latest rise in sales.
"In the past month, we've shipped at least 25,000 stocks to five countries, which is a five percent increase than last months," Jean says reading from a file in hand. "We've been obtaining a great deal of good feedback but..."
Jeans eyebrows furrow as she looks across her seat towards Mimi with a complicated expression. Taking a sip of her milkshake, Mimi nods her head motioning her to continue.
Clearing her throat, Jean stares back at the file to deliver the contents.
"One of our successful investors recently called in a meeting to discuss profits with us," Jean starts off.
"Is it Lun Corporation?" Mimi raises her sharp eyebrow.
"Yes, they said they wished to meet the owner face to face in a meeting," Jean pauses warily before continuing. "If not they'll back out of the contract and if that happens our prices will go down rapidly."
Mimi hums with amusement, resting her head on her fist as she closes her eyes in deep thought. Years ago when Mimi first started her company, she needed an investor to invest in her company to raise her business.
As easy as that was for Mimi to do on her own, it would take her at least two years to make a profit.
So she decided to find an investor.
Not sure if it was sheer luck or a coincidence, but word soon went out that Lun Corporation - one of her father's most stock investors was recently interested in finding another company to invest in since they planned to spread their trades.
With a few calls, Mimi had sent a link to her business to the owner of Lun Corporation.
However, because Mimi remains just a child she knew very well no one would invest so much money into a child.
Thus developing a fake identity, Andras.
They soon settled on an agreement that made her company rise very well.
The past couple of years no one has ever caught a glimpse of the face of Andras or had even encountered the man they were investing considerable amounts of money into.
The owner of Lun Corporation, Lee Odo, hadn't anticipated anything wrong with it. If the owner wished to stay anonymous that was fine with him as long as he was receiving good results.
But after years of working with the mysterious influential figure Andras, Lee Odo wished to confront the man but was constantly denied any meetups.
He had even delivered people to search information of the man named Andras but in the end, they were left with nothing.
Lee Odo began to stress over not knowing who this man was.
Would he bring harm to his company?
If he didn't even know him, how could he believe he didn't have any alternative motives?
Finally, having enough he had called Mimi's company to demand to schedule a meeting with their owner. Or he'd back out of their contract.
Mimi could directly meet Lee Odo and tell him she was the owner.
However, would he'd think it was a joke and back out of the contract in the end. If he did believe Mimi, the outcome would still be the same.
Who would want to put their billion dollar company in the hands of a fourteen-year-old girl?
Not just that but Mimi was extremely keen on keeping herself out of the spotlight, she didn't wish to deal with such boring business meetings and parties.
She preferred to work behind the scenes and allow everything plays out to her bidding.
"I could go in as your replacement, that way he doesn't need to identify who you are," Alec suggests while looking worriedly at Mimi.
Shaking her head, Mimi opens her violet eyes with a light flashing within them.
"That won't work, it'd cause too many complications," Mimi said grabbing a crispy fry plopping it into her mouth.
"In that case what do we do? How can you be so calm when you might lose such a big investor?" Alec says slightly agitated by her behavior.
A sly grin raises on Mimi's rosy lips. Shivers run down Alec's spine as he stares at Mimi smile wickedly.
"My, my, big brother you seem more worried about this than I am." Mimi chuckles.
"Mimi," Alec sighs. "Do you plan on revealing yourself?"
"Haha, don't worry big brother. I won't," Mimi laughs. "If anything I have an even more reasonable plan."
Trying to read the girls expression Alec's eyebrows scrunch together, even Jean herself was unsure of what the girl had planned out.
Of course, everything was always a surprise with Mimi. She never knew what she had planned out.
"What do you plan to do then?" Alec asks nervously.
"Oh, don't worry. When you see it big the brother, you'll sure be shocked!"
Alec and Jean eye one another, what did she really have planned?
Ignoring the concerned faces on the two adults Mimi stares out the window, a smile spread across her rosy pink lips.
