"Morning sleepy heads! Dad asked me to come check... cough... I mean, It's time for breakfast and grandma wants to look over Olivia one more time before she leaves!" Samantha shouted. Olivia groaned and snuggled closer into Eli's chest. "5 more minutes please?" she pleaded.
"I would say yes but Eli's face is so red it might actually exploded." Samantha said jokingly. Olivia looked up from Eli's chest and seen what she was talking about. He was stoned faced again but glowed red as sweat rolled down his face. "Eli?" she called, he crooked his head downwards and meet Olivia's eyes.
Olivia felt something starting to tap against her abdomen in an off beat, continuously rhythm and wanted to look at what it was. As she tried to pull herself away from Eli he shouted "Don't look!" Olivia was stunned as Eli quickly rolled over and covered his face with both hands.
Olivia wanted to ask him what was wrong as Samantha helped her get our of bed. "It's a guy thing, don't think too much about it... but on the other hand you should probably thank Eli for the complement." Samantha said as she winked at Olivia.
"Complement?" Olivia was completely confused. Samantha smiled as she wrapped one arm around her shoulder "Definitely! He still finds you attractive even though you are currently not at your... cough... 'best'." A pillow was sent flying to the back of Samantha's head. "Shut the f*ck up already!" Eli growled.
Samantha giggled as she escorted Olivia down the stairs. "Don't take too long because her scent is everywhere!" Samantha shouted before she slammed the door. Eli couldn't help but feel hot by Samantha's words, he plopped back onto the mattress "...." and rolled face first onto the pillow that Olivia was using and started to inhale. "Olivia..." he shuddered.
....
Olivia was waiting patiently in the foyer with the Delmira family. Ms. Delimira was nice enough to provide her a new set of clothes and burnt the shambles she arrived in. The Delmira boys had each taken one of Olivia's hands to keep her calm, she tighten her grip on their hands as time went by. "He's late" she murmured.
Mr. Delmira looked at Olivia with a mixture of emotions, he was struggling to say something but just shook his head and leaned against the wall. Mrs. Delmira looked at her husband, eyes sharp as a hawk trying to zero down on it's prey "What are you trying to hide" she asked. Mr. Delmira pinched the space between his brows "Not my place to say..." he sighed.
Olivia knew her plans went down the drain when she could barely move last night. She missed her only chance to privately talk to Laila about Agni and she needed to get home to start planning what her next course of action would be.
There was a knock on the door and Samantha bounced up and skipped over to answer the door. Her smiling face turned into a scowl and her eyes became ice cold. "Ms. Masama, good morning. Can I help you with something today." Samantha asked in her business like tone.
Agni gave a warm, small smile as she pushed herself in. "Well yes you can Ms. Delmira... oh! The whole Delmira family is here good morning Lady Delmira you look lovely today as always." she said as stood tall and defiant, against their cold glares.
"My little Livy bear! Are you ok? Your father told me what happened..." she said as she threw her arms in the air, wanting to pull Olivia into her embrace. Eli quickly pulled her back and step in between both women. Ms. Masama took pause before she straighten her back up. She raised her head slightly and gentled tapped Eli's cheek. "No need to worry so much sweetie, her father sent me to pick up little Livy." She said coyly.
"Why would he ask you to pick up Olivia?" Mrs. Delmira asked while she shot ice daggers at Ms. Masama. Agni giggled at her question and raised her left hand "I guess you missed the debutante last night in order to watch over Livy. I thank you for your kindness but her father thought it best that I come pick up my future daughter in-law."
....
"Father!" Olivia shouted as she stomped into the house. "In here sweetie!" Avery shouted back, Olivia marched her way into her father's study, her jaw dropped when she saw the mere shadow of it's fore more glory.
"Olivia your face!" Avery rushed over and cupped her face "My God what the f*ck did they do to you!" Avery said as anger blazed within his eyes. "Dad...." she whispered "You proposed to Ms. Masama?" The anger that was blazing in Avery's eyes quickly turned to ash from Olivia's question.
He let go of her faces and walked her out of the study, gently closing the door behind them. "As you know I was planning to propose to her anyways and with what happened yesterday... I think it's the right time." Olivia shook her head "No!" Avery gave her a tender look as he rubbed her head "Yes it is sweetie. You need a strong female role model in your life. Plus your going to have two sisters, it's a win-win situation." he cooed.
"No it's not a 'win-win' situation! I think Ms. Masama somehow knew about my plan to investigate her more thoroughly through Laila and hired those men to stop me!" she cried out, Avery's eyes turned to steel as he looked at Olivia "Do you have proof or are you finally throwing a tantrum!" he said with such force that Olivia took a step back but over all she stood her ground.
"No! Autumn says she's evil and I believe her! Look at her kids, for God's sake something is wrong with them!" she shouted back. Avery couldn't take her attitude anymore and lashed out "So Autumn is what? A f*cking walking moral compass and what are you a f*cking mind reader! Did you not see the pain that women suffered when Loreley almost drowned? The tears Laila shed when she woke up? Or are you turning stupid because you spent a night at your 'boyfriends' house after your near rape?" he roared.
He grabbed Olivia by the shoulder and made her look him in the eyes "Tell me which child is not right in the head? Someone who openly sleeps in the arms of a young man, unsupervised in is room or children that are obedient and stand up to wrong doing? TELL ME!" he spat at Olivia's face.
Olivia's face paled ad her legs gave way under her. Avery allowed her body to slip beneath his grasp and watched her lump onto the floor. He looked down at her sorry state and adjusted his sleeves. "Agni will become your step mother, Loreley and Laila will become your step sisters. For the next couple of weeks after your done with work I expect you to help them get settled into their new home." he said coolly.
Olivia dared to look her father in the eyes "They're moving in?" she asked quietly. Avery gave her another cold glare as his eyes flashed with annoyance "How course they're moving in. We plan to have the wedding sometime this November." Avery started to walk away from Olivia when he suddenly stopped. He seemed to remember something, without bothering to turn around to face Olivia, he kept his gaze straight ahead and away from her.
"Oh by the way the girls will not be transferring into Lewood they want to finish their last year in Tekula... as least that's something you don't have to share and get petty about." and walked off leaving Olivia on the floor, dumbfounded.
