A white, beautiful mansion atop a hill, slightly far from the bustling marketplace of the city.
The Blue Raine Family Estate.
An anxious scholarly man paced back and forth, with maids and servants waiting outside a room. Loud screams can be heard.
The skies churned, and bright rays of colorful lights suddenly pierced the room, quickly disappearing.
Everyone was shocked by this sight, especially when the colorful lights had entered this room! What is going on!?
The man had the urge to enter the room to see his wife. At this point, the door opened, and an elderly woman came out.
She was happy and excited. "Congratulations, my Lord! It's a baby girl! Come in!"
Inside the room, the doctors and midwives all congratulated their lord. "My Lord, the heavens has truly blessed you! Truly blessed you! Look here! This is an Insignia Marking! You have an Insignia Child! Congratulations!"
Everyone within the room was happy, excited, surprised, and shocked. The lord widen his eyes with indescribable disbelief and joy.
"Is she really… an Insignia Child…? Is she… really one!?"
"Yes, my Lord! Make no mistake, with that marking, she is an Insignia Child! I swear to the heavens that with my experience, this is true! Your newborn daughter is an Insignia Child! The heavens truly blessed you, my lord!"
What was an Insignia Child? A child who was born with the purest and natural form of Insignia, a rarity within this entire world of magics. They are blessed with heaven-defying magic abilities and are natural healers. Many schools and sects fought to obtain and keep an Insignia Child, regardless of their ability.
The Lord held his baby daughter and smiled, a face full of happiness. He turned to the doctors. "Is my wife okay? Any problems?"
The doctors reassured him. "She should be resting now. Come here."
Not too far away, within the same room, a beautiful, gentle lady lies on the bed, tended to by her maids and nurses. She gracefully smiled.
"Let me see her."
The Lord happily sat by her side, and held her close to him, while showing her their baby.
After all the coo-ing and praising, the lady wistfully smiled. "Jena… It's a good name, right?"
The Lord nodded approvingly.
"But… She hasn't cried yet…?"
Her words had dawned realization upon everyone. Shock filled their faces. They had truly forgotten this, that the baby had not once cried.
All the doctors scrambled to kneel on the floor anxiously. "Your servant here deserves death! We had been focusing our Lady's health and truly forgotten to check the baby! Please forgive us!"
The Lord looked at his wife lovingly before shaking his head.
She gracefully shook her head. "It is alright. I have been injured when this child was still in my womb. Maybe my injuries have reached this child. I think… she will be my only child."
Everyone held regret in their hearts. Not too long ago, their Lord and Madam were chased by some clan Master's son who fancied her and wanted to take her as his s*x slave. They were critically injured and infuriated by their clan's assaults, so they retaliated and destroyed their entire clan.
A few credible doctors stepped up to thoroughly check their baby. Their faces fell crestfallen.
"My Lord, my Lady… terrible news… I think… She may be deaf and mute… We don't have the ability to cure her…"
Cold water splashed the Lord's and the Lady's faces. Their newborn baby girl is an Insignia Child… but at the same time, also deaf and mute. It is no better than a living dead person.
The Lady hugged Jena. "She is our one and only child. The heavens have given us their blessings. No matter what, we will forever care for her, and love her."
The Lord nodded, and hugged his wife and baby.
After Jena had been painfully crushed under the waters and fainted, she woke up to find herself in the hands of another person.
She knew she was being passed around from person to person, but she couldn't hear nor cry. She could not even feel her own vocal cords.
When the Lady gently hugged her, she felt happy. She felt warmth. She felt true love.
For the first time after six years of her past life.
Jena has reborn again.
This time, she will live blissfully and happy.
