Chapter 14
Dawn
The Kamdhan Village
Kaal opened his bloodshot eyes and looked at Khajoor who was sleeping beside him. Khajoor was in a deep sleep. What happened in the span of 1 day was very tiring for them. Kaal should also be in a deep sleep like Khajoor but something told him he shouldn't sleep now. He didn't know why, but he couldn't sleep at all last night, so he started thinking about Chooha and how he so easily analyzed everything so easily.
But, as he was thinking all that, he suddenly realized something. When he realized that, his heart suddenly skipped a beat. He remembered Chooha saying that if Josh decided to kill someone, he would definitely do that at any cost. According to this statement of Chooha, this should be the nature of his father, Josh. If this was true, then would his resolute nature bend because of the fear of death, because of the oath? It would be good if that happened, but if his nature remains the same even after the oath, wouldn't he try something else to make their life difficult instead of killing them straight away?
He wouldn't dare to cause any sort of trouble directly, but what about some underhanded methods? If he somehow convinced everyone in the village to not let them work in their homes, then won't they die of hunger because of that? He really hoped that Josh would compromise only this once in his life. It would be for the best if he tossed what happened on that night at the back of his head and forget about that.
Kaal thought about this issue whole night and the more he thought about it, the more anxious he became. He wanted to discuss about this to Khajoor but found that he was sleeping very comfortably and didn't wanted to interrupt his rest so decided to talk about it the next day.
Soon, it was about time when they wake up and leave for their work. As if it was already an instinct, Khajoor suddenly opened his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he was scared witless. He saw Kaal sitting beside him, looking at him with bloodshot eyes which were filled with 'lust', and 'desire'. He hesitantly opened his mouth and said, "Brother, it's time for us to leave for the work. How about doing 'that' at night?"
"@#$@#&*"
Kaal almost died choking on his own spit. He started breathing heavily because of anger. He wanted to slap the sh*t out of Khajoor and make his already 'beautiful' face, even more 'charming'. How could someone think about 'that' all day long? He was seriously considering to hang himself and end his suffering once and for all.
Khajoor saw Kaal's breathing heavily when he talked about 'that', and said seriously, "Don't be angry. I know that you can't resist taking a bite out of this sweet peach, but you have to wait. Work comes first, then comes the fun and enjoyment."
As he said this, he stood up from the bed like a gentleman with his back as straight as javelin and combed his hair with his hands a bit. Then, he walked out of the small, thatched hut. But before going out, he didn't forget to wink 'charmingly' at Kaal.
Kaal's hair stood straight at their ends. He back was full of cold sweat. Although he was already immune to all the 'attacks' from Khajoor, but sometimes some unexpected ones do hit him hard. He didn't even give him an opportunity to say something and directly walked out after saying some gibberish. Kaal became so speechless that he forgot that he had something important to tell to Khajoor. He dressed up a bit and went out for the work.
When Kaal came out of the thatched hut, Khajoor had already gone far away. Kaal saw this and shook his head lightly and started walking towards the village.
_______________
Josh's Mansion
"Father, please don't do anything to Big brother Kaal and Big brother Khajoor. It was my own fault that I was unable to become the disciple of the great scholar. Please don't punish them for my stupidity. Please! I beg you father!"
This was the voice of our Little Chooha who was currently kneeling in the main hall. His whole face was filled with tears but his eyes were very resolute.
"Stand up son. At least eat something first and then we will discuss about that, okay? Now, stand up. Your whole body should be very tired because of kneeling for a whole night." Josh said, crouching down and patting Little Chooha's shoulders.
When Chooha came home last night, he asked his father whether or not he still wanted to punish Kaal and Khajoor. Josh was stunned when he heard this. He was puzzled. Did someone tell him that he was the one who seriously injured them? Was it Kaal or Khajoor who told him? Suddenly he realized. Did his son find about all that himself? It is possible. His son was very, very intelligent after all.
Josh profoundly looked at Chooha and said, "Yes."
Then what happened afterwards was that Chooha kneeled then and there and repeatedly begged, asking to forgive Kaal and Khajoor. Like that, for one whole night, a small 7-8 year old child kneeled. If not for his determination and resolute nature that he inherited from his father, he would have already passed out till now. One must know, even kneeling for half an hour would make our legs numb, then what would happen if one kneels for hours? And the one kneeling was a child here.
Chooha's mother, Emily, couldn't bear to see her child kneeling there like that, so she also urged Josh to give up on his revenge against the two little peasants. But Josh shook his head, "No! I have decided to make their lives difficult, and that is what I shall do."
When our Little Chooha heard this, he knew that this time sh*t has really hit the roof.
