With a little bit of common sense, David concluded that he needed to use the skill
When he tried it in his house, he suddenly gave undivided attention to the potted plant beside the broken table.
He stared intently at the plant and went close to it and admired the beautiful leaves with intricate patterns and the branches that held them.
He looked at the soil and thought, "Earth is truly amazing, it can provide so many things and support so much life! If it dies, all of us will die with it!"
After David said that, he awakened from his stupor and started pondering about what he said.
Afterwards, he checked his stats to see that his ability increased by 1 exp, making it now 1/10 exp.
"Hmm... I guess it's expected, it's only 1 potted plant."
For maximum efficiency, David decided to head to the forest near his house and wander around the front parts while using the skill.
However, the deeper parts of the forests are somewhere David would not even think of going in currently as if he did it would mean instant death when he falls prey to the countless uncommons, many rares and a few super rare beasts lurking around those parts. The front part of the forest only consists of many common beasts who would usually flee than fight and uncommon beasts that would only appear once in a blue moon.
David's father had occasionally brought him there for training and one time he went deep into the forest with him, frightening him by showing him the power of the rare and super rare monsters such that he would know only to tussle with them when he is strong enough.
As David was walking around the forest and using his skill, he heard voices in his head and this time it wasn't the ring.
"Hey, how are you doing?"
"Don't you dare step on that plant boy!"
"What are you here for?"
David hurriedly check his stats for his powers
Ability name: Might Of Gaia
Ability Rareness: God
Ability tier: Tier 1
Exp: 3/100
Current abilities:
"What?! How could this possibly be a tier 1 skill?" David's ability was not only stronger than normal, it would even give extra skills every tier it goes up.
Suddenly, David heard a frantic voice pleading for help.
"Help! Help me!!! These darn Lignumbirds are killing me!"
David looked around and saw something in the distance.
There were 4 Lignumbirds pecking at an extremely large and tall tree.
"Hmph! Some common beasts, they should be extremely easy to deal with!" David thought to himself.
David used
Blood splattered onto David's shirt, barely missing his chin. The blood also splattered on the other Lignumbirds who were at that point squealing non-stop, presumably due to anger.
Immediately after the first bird died, the three birds rushed towards David who in turned used
David then used
"Ouch!" David grimaced in pain as he shouted out.
"Careful! Watch out, behind you!"
As soon as David heard what the tree told him, he used
Sure enough, the tree was telling the truth, the bird was flying in extremely quickly and could not stop which was too bad for the bird.
David hurriedly raised up his blade and sliced down at the incoming bird, causing the bird to split in two, its blood spurting out of its body, like some mini-fountain.
David then used
However, all David managed to get it was a few scratches as the birds manage to evade him and once again pecked him, giving David many scratches and bruises.
"Those birds are the weakest when they are flying upwards!"
After escaping the birds by using
The angry birds followed suit and flew up towards where David was.
David then jumped down the tree in the direction of those birds and managed to stab his katana into one of them, after which he dragged his katana to where it's head was and killed it.
The last bird, frightened, started to flee.
David remembered what his father said so he took his other katana and threw it towards the fleeing bird.
"Phoosh" the Katana pierced straight through the bird, causing it to stick out through its head, making even David's hair stand on ends when he witnessed the scene.
"Lucky~" David said as he pulled the Katana out of the bird and shaking the blade a little to get rid of some of the blood.
"Thank you! Thank you so much for getting rid of those pesky birds!" The tall and large tree said
"No problem!" David replied.
