Chapter 6 - Battle Royale

At this point the students were frantically running away and trying to spread themselves out as much as possible, it was pure chaos!

David however just stayed at his original position without moving at all.

"1!"

"Argh!" As soon as it hit 1, a student was already shot by a and was taken out of the arena by a teacher right in front of him.

David wasn't shocked by the student getting attacked rather it was because he realised, he had no offensive spells!

"Phoosh!" a small started flying towards David.

"!" Just like that and the fireball disintegrated into the air.

"Hmm? Maybe this will work..."

David used and appeared in front of the student who shot the fireball.

The student was visibly shocked and took a step back, using this chance, David used directly in front of his face.

The person went flying backwards and fell flat unto the ground. The teacher then came in and took him out.

"Hmm, I guess this will work!" David mused to himself.

"Oh? Interesting! The son of that man..." The Dean stared at David as he thought.

"..." The students were speechless, the teachers were speechless, even the Dean was speechless.

"HAHA! You are an interesting one! That you are!" The boy who said this had short green hair, was around the same height as David at around 4'11 with brown eyes and a relatively fit physique.

"I am Jack Magnum! Pleased to meet and fight you!" Saying this he activated his spell , balls of mud suddenly flew towards David who used to get in front of Jack, however as he was about to use , Jack used .

A huge wall started coming out from under David, he ran to the middle of the wall and jumped from it but it was at that moment that David realised he screwed up.

David had always been used to doing this kind of things and using his sword to hack and slash, however, weapon and were not allowed.

Only when David was mid-air did he realised this and found that he didn't know any magic spell that would suit this action.

To escape that predicament, David used , boosting himself away from where Jack was.

Jack noticed this and took this chance, he quickly used to try and hit David.

David responded by using to get out of the way and at the same time get behind Jack.

David quickly used on Jack which caused him to go flying, however before he landed on the ground, he used at the place he was going to land, successfully cushioning his fall.

"Heh! Not bad!" Was what both Jack and David thought when the witnessed each other's skills.

Jack and David stared at each other, eyes shining with battle intent while smiling at the thrill of the battle.

David sprinted towards Jack while dodging the endless barrage of mud balls as best as he can.

David then used to get behind Jack, however, he could predict this and instantly turned back used when he realised David disappeared.

"Too slow!" David remarked as he used

on Jack.

Jack then started flying backwards but not until he fired the last at David who was currently being pushed up by the wall.

The ball hit David directly in the face and caused him to fall backwards from the top of the wall, he was falling back-first and did not have enough space to turn and use so David landed on to the floor. A teacher came immediately after that and brought him out of the arena.

Jack fell on the floor a split second before David and was also taken away by the teacher.

This made Jack the winner of this battle.

"The winner by default! Zexter Fanri!" When David heard that name, the only thing that went through his mind was, "Are you sh*tting kidding me!"

"Oh? So he wasn't actually a peasant! No matter, I will still destroy him!" A fully healed Zexter stood in the arena as he gave a cocky gaze at everyone which frankly even annoyed some of the teachers.

"Okay! Now for round 2, this round the only things you can use are your martial arts and weapons! The battle like before will begin when I say 1!"

"However before that, you will be given a strap to put around your body. Should anyone cut and steal this strap from you, you will be disqualified." The Dean continued.

After everyone was ready, the Dean started counting down.
