Chapter 6 - 六

'We have new friends today? Kyas hopes you like it here!' The little girl is dancing around in circles in the rose garden. Rose needles curve their sharp tips to avoid hurting her. All the roses bloom when she looks at them. Fairies affectionately fly around her as they are laughing and cheering.

'My dear friends, where are you?'

Her innocent voice sounds milky and cute.

Kyas opens the rose buds. These roses have shown their most fragile parts to the light.

However, there is no new friend whom she expects to find.

The little girl is patient and opens the roses one by one.

Her dark red dress' hemline unwittingly picks up some rose petals. All look nice, just like in a fairy tale.

Kyas finally walks near to the rose where Ro and Feather are resting..

She looks gorgeous and is a cute little girl.

But the size difference is like between a giant and an ant, Ro and Feather are only as tall as a human thumb.

Kyas peaks at them through the petals. Her eye pasted on the rose.

Two tiny fairies. One is sitting and the other is sleeping in silence.

They are wearing flower dresses.

Yes, they must be her new toys.

Feather sees the enormous large eye right after she wakes up.

It is blue and dark, and that is a jolt for Feather.

Then, an earthquake happens.

The rose is picked up by Kyas. Crimson liquid flows out from the stem and dyes Kyas' little hands red.

She holds the rose with both hands and runs around in the garden.

The rose petals are falling apart as Kyas is moving. Two fairies now are standing in Kyas' palms.

Her hands are warm and real. Ro and Feather can easily see the lines on her hands.

Countless fairies are flying around her. Their laughs are evilly penetrating, and Feather feels another headache after her long sleep.

As if, there were infinite screaming in her mind.

'Dancing~ Laughing~ and happy forever~'

Kyas is humming and her smile is as bright as sunlight.

Ro holds Feather and spreads his luxurious wings out. His wings are more eye-catching than any other wings in the garden.

Feather's wings are small and grey. Her ugly wings make her stand out among other pretty fairies.

Kyas wonders and stares at the new fairies on her palms.

'Do you not dance?'

Feather awkwardly tries to flap her wings, but she cannot take off from the palms at all.

Kyas gets mad instantly and clenches her fists in anger.

As soon as I close my fists, they will become sweet strawberry jam. Kyas squints and smiles innocently.

Ro grabs Feather's waist and flies to evade Kyas' fists. He flies among other fairies and sings with them.

This is dumb and mental.

Ro is just pretending to sing, and Feather is too scared to move her lips.

Kyas' takes out a bug net and uses that at the prettier fairies.

Those slower fairies are caught by the bug net and then their wings are pulled off by Kyas and their body is thrown into a glass jar.

The fairies still look happy and feel honored when they are in the jar.

Ro is flying in the group with Feather.

He doesn't believe it is a good thing to be caught.

Do they not have a sense for pain?

Their backs are bleeding.

If all these fairies were human who entered here in the past, what have they been through?

Kyas puts the bug net away as she has filled the jar full with bleeding fairies, going back into the castle.

Ro is too tired to move. There are much less fairies nearby.

They rest on the ground by the edge of the garden, panting.

Although Ro carried Feather all the way, Feather is stressed as well. She alertly reminded Ro to fly left, right, up and down, faster, and faster.

Other fairies who have survived are making love again. Some have had a bulged womb and their belly looks like a small fruit.

The roses are their wedding room. The honey is golden and sweet. Fairies are sucking the honey and they look forever naïve.

Ro and Feather pick a rose to rest as well. They hope to have a peaceful night.

In a trance, a whisper comes from a distance outside the garden along with panting and singing.

Feather feels hot and holds it to herself. At the end, she cannot bear it anymore and wakes up from her sleep, clinging to Ro's legs again.

'Help me, sir!'

Mr. Clown is magical!

The torturous heat is retreating after she clings to his legs.

Itch comes after the heat. Feather looks at him with shinning eyes of trust. What is she looking for from him?

'Sir...'

She has lost her voice from too much screaming.

Her calling is soft and low, full of sugar.

Yet, she didn't realize that and keeps rubbing Ro's legs.

What can Ro do?

Ro is dumbfounded.

He picks up her wrist and finds that she is poisoned with lust.

Probably the honey she ate caused this symptom.

'Sir! Help me!'

Feather climbs up to his chest and looking at him helplessly with tears. Her tears are as pure as the morning dew.

'Don't look.'

Ro decides to use a final solution.

Feather blushes and listens to him, but she trembles due to fear.

"whop—whop—' Ro slaps her twice, one left and one right.

Feather doesn't have time to react.

More slaps come. Three after two. Left and right. Non-stop. These slaps are loud...

Mr. Clown is also speaking at the same time with his charming voice.

'Sorry baka. I don't have any other way.'

Ro can only think of one way to solve this.

Beat her up and wake her up with pain.

Although it is inhumane to beat a girl, but the situation will not wait for Ro to come up with a better solution. To help Feather, he decides to be a bad man who slaps a girl.

'It is okay! I understand! Just stop slapping me—'

Feather finds herself back quickly and screams.

Ro sees that and stops slapping.

The inner desire in Feather's mind has been put down by embarrassment, anger, gratification, and other feelings.

Ro is quite and feels bad for her.

Feather covers her face and turns away.

I don't want to talk to him anymore.

This motherfucker baka is too mean.

The moon is right at the top of the sky. The sweet smell of rose has become so thick that they have formed a fog in the garden.

A faint smell of blood spreads. It is getting heavier. Feather covers her nose and looks up—

Their rose is melting, and sharp teeth are growing at the edge of the petals. The blood of the rose is dripping onto her head.

Ro picks her up quickly and they fly away from the rose. Although their rose closes quickly, it didn't catch any meal.

That rose is disappointed and shakes its head. It no longer pays attention to Ro and Feather and begins to compete against other roses for fairies.

Those lively fairies of the day are all swallowed and eaten by the roses. Sometimes there is more than one rose feeding upon one fairy and tear it apart. Some swallow a fairy entirely and digest it slowly.

Some didn't get any fairies at all and try to stretch their stems to eat away other roses.

These fairies are unconscious after they ate the honey. None of them escape.

After all the fairies are eaten. The garden returns to silence again.

Ro and Feather sit together by the lake, waiting for the sun.

'When can we exit this game?'

The golden sun is warmer than anything else for Feather. The lake looks like an ocean. Wind brings waves and moisture to them.

A little wet in the sunlight.

Feather rests her chin on her hands.

'Two days later.'

'Can we get out safely?'

'Yes, we can.'

Feather can feel pain, but her face doesn't swell, and it doesn't have the slapping marks either, probably because her current body is not her real body.

The roses are swinging as the morning sunlight shines on them with the gentle wind.

Youthfulness.

Feather finally notices why she likes these roses...

They are always fresh and full of life. No rose decays.

Maybe, those decayed and lost roses were eaten last night.

The first rose blooms.

A naked fairy is sitting on the bud. It rubs its eyes and tries to flap its wings. It looks innocent and happy.

More roses bloom. The blooming sound of one rose is tiny, but the blooming sound of thousands of roses can be heard.

It is the sound of life.

It is the sound of wind and sunlight falling. It is the sound of moving petals...

They enter the ears to Feather's heart. Feather feels a bit itchy.

She looks back at those just-born fairies that are trying to fly, and tears suddenly fall from her face.

'I hate this and like this...'

The sound of leather shoes walking on a wooden board is coming.

'Good morning little fairies!'

Kyas is wearing a white-laced apron and headdress like a maid.

She walks out gladly and waves at the fairies. The fairies are also happy to see her.

Kyas spreads a red tartan sheet on a white stone desk flat and neat. Then she grabs a plate of nuts and bread from the castle.

She places the utensils, jam, and milk in order. After that, she sits down solemnly and gets some pink jam from the glass jar for the bread.

If Ro and Feather can ignore the fact that this glass jar is exactly the same as the glass jar that was used by Kyas to keep the fairies, the scene is beautiful.

'let's have breakfast together!'

Kyas raises her cute arm and filled her cream color shell-shape plate with milk. Then she puts another plate of bread on the desk to invite fairies to eat with her.

'New friends, don't you wanna come?'

Kyas is looking at Ro and Feather.

'Thank you for your generosity, your cute highness Kyas.'

Ro salutes her politely.

'You really don't come to eat? It won't cause any trouble to eat food here.'

Kyas' smile is sweet, but she looks upset when she sees Ro not coming.

Feather's belly makes a noise.

Kyas understands and smiles at her in a friendly manner.

Feather is still a living person and she will feel hungry when she is hungry.

Ro doesn't need to eat but Feather has been starving for a long time.

The last time she ate was when Ro gave her half of a watermelon which was mostly water.

She doesn't even want to think of the honey.

'Sorry, sir.'

Feather blushes and apologizes.

'No need to apologize. It was my fault that I didn't notice you are hungry.'

'Excuse me, your highness.'

Ro brings Feather to the desk.

Kyas takes out another plate, slicing bread, and pouring another milk for Feather.

Although Kyas is a little girl, her movement is elegant and natural like a princess.

Yet, it is too hard for Kyas to prepare a meal for a tiny fairy and Feather doesn't know what to do with a pool of milk in front of her.

Ro picks a fresh and green leaf, rolling it into a spoon for Feather to drink the milk.

Feather finishes half of a piece of bread and feels better.

Ro is sitting close to her quietly.

The size of the bread she just ate is more than ten times larger than her body, but her belly is still flat.

She is nervous at first as she uses the leaf spoon to drink milk. Then she throws the leaf away and begins to drink and to devour milk from the edge of the container.

'Sweet?'

'Sweet! Very sweet!'

Feather's devoted and happy face freezes.

She doesn't know why but she thinks this conversation has happened before.
