It was the first time since her arrival that they heard her talked. Some of her classmates grinned wickedly; some had faces full of guilt and some full of indication. Only one boy had a quizzical expression on, Claire full of rage hadn't the time to dwell on their reactions much.
"Teacher, may I – go to bathroom?" She said through clenched teeth
The teacher still stunned merely nodded. She stalked out of the room and closed the door as quietly as she could. She was already the talked of the whole school but now with her sudden outburst she would be even more talked about.
She curse under her breath and stalked towards the comfort room, far away from the classrooms and locked it securely.
Luckily, no one was around. She went to examine her reflection. Her face was red with anger. She washed her hands and angrily splashed her face with water from the sink rapidly trying to cool herself and her emotions down.
Wiping her face using her handkerchief she then looked back at her reflection she inhaled deeply steadying herself, she clenched the counter with both hands for support. Dreading to go back to the class but knowing that she had too, she unlocked the doors as she slowly creep out.
"Girls really do take time going to the bathroom don't they? I thought you drowned yourself their by the sound of the flowing water."
Startled she looked at the boy leaning on the wall beside the comfort room's door. He was Bill, one of her classmates and the boy who had a quizzical expression on him during her outburst.
She only knew his name because he was famous for his looks, brain and vibrant personality despite being a foreigner like her. The fact that he was the only person besides the teacher in their entire school who had kindly greeted her also added to her noticing this guy.
She just stared at him, he smiled in return. Before she could ask what he was doing there he answered it as thought reading her mind.
"The teacher asked me to check on you which seems to be unnecessary. And I'm not psychic in case you thought of it. It's just that it's written all over your face."
At this he smirked which made her blush, she looked down which made her straight hair fall down and cover her blushing face. Not wanting to go back yet. She sat beside him hugging her knees, she then looked outside the window. A bird had perched on an evergreen tree and was chirping intermediately.
As class was ongoing neither student nor teacher would walk pass them except if said teacher and/or student will go to the bathroom as well during this time so while no one was still around they were brave enough to stay there.
