Bill stared at her,
"She looked cute when she blushes, it was right for me to go here thought lying about the teacher was wrong." He continue saying immersed on his story
"What? That was a lie?"
Claire interrupted Bill's narration of his story telling. He smiled sheepishly, she stared at him in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, if I said I did it on my own accord you would have fled and we wouldn't have become friends and eventually to what we are now." He said sincerely looking straight at her eyes holding her hand in his
Claire blushed at his honesty.
"Even if you didn't lie I would still have talked to you."
This made him smile which made Claire blushed more.
"So what happened next?"
Veo asked for the benefit of Uoron who was now glaring intently at both Claire and Bill rather than his own curiosity.
"This stupid cl*own with his stupid grin." Uoron mentally thought still not as supportive of his sister's boyfriend. But as the main story progresses, Uoron gradually accepted Bill's foolish nature which was quite suitable for his tsundere [1] like sister.
Bill coughed and continued their story still holding Claire's hand under the table.
"I don't usually do those kinds of things you know." Claire said while still squatting on the floor and staring outside the window.
Her voice brought him back from his reverie, he looked at the bird as well.
"Hmm…..I think I rather expected that reaction"
He looked at her, she looked at him curiously. Her curiosity was evident in her face that even without words he knew what she wanted to ask. He smiled.
"I mean with all the gossips and unjust rumors surrounding the school I would be more startled if you didn't reacted that way."
He also thought that what they did was unjustly and judgmental and her outburst was an effect of their attitudes.
Because of his comment, Claire looked at him beamingly, he stared at her in disbelief.
"I thought she was cute when she blushed like that but not as cute as her smile now." He thought while he started dumbly at her
"Thank you-"
Her voice brought him back from his reverie yet again
"Let's go back to class?" She asked not noticing anything at all.
Reluctant as she was to return she knew that it was better to get it over with rather than dong it later. He simply nodded still dazzled by this new found aspect of her.
"After that, the people started talking to her feeling guilty about what they had done and their bias first impression, some remained and determined to alienate her but all ended well." He said as they returned to the present conversation.
"We became close friends ever since then. After that, she move here and we lost contact with each other after a year or so we finally met again. What a small world isn't it, Claire." He said as he looked lovingly at her.
