"Are you sure about this? It's just been a few days since you've retained your memory. Are you sure you can control yourself when you see them?" Hue said while looking at her through the review mirror with obvious distraught.
If he was shameless enough he would accompany her to this so called gathering but regardless of them being a family now they were still considered outsiders in the eyes of her relatives.
"Don't worry dad, I can manage myself." She smiled but her eyes were not smiling at all instead a hint of viciousness passed through it.
"Alright then, but always remember to keep calm. It's not the time yet." He could not help but remind her after seeing that viciousness though briefly.
She nodded and closed her eyes as she leaned at the seat. Wisteria stared at Hue with obvious reluctance while Hue shook his head as he stared back at the road as the streetlight had just turned green.
.....
A plane had just landed while it's passengers in orderly manner went outside the arrival gate.
A woman who looked not older than 23 years old strolled with her baby blue luggage is tow.
She was wearing black casuals flounce crochet waist romper with a scoop neckline and long sleeves. To compliment her attire, she used a black wedge pair of sandals. Her hair was styled into a long outward curls with one side tucked behind her ear.
She stopped, placed her sunglasses on her head then took her phone out, cancelled its flight mode and stared at her wallpaper signing sadly then said
"It's been two years since I last went back here. I wonder how Reen is doing… I wonder if his still here too…"
She whispered the latter half of the sentence. She hid her phone, placed her sunglasses back then made her way towards the exit and left the airport in hurried and excited steps.
.....
The next day, in a hot weathered afternoon,
Reen just opened the door when she heard loud laughter coming out from what she believes to be the dining area.
She walked slowly feeling a heavy emotion in her heart. That laughter sounded so familiar.
When she could finally see the people sitting merrily at the dining table, her eyes was assaulted by the pleasant yet wrong scene in front of her.
Seeing both of them being all lovey dovey and her relatives smiling towards each other like one big happy family she couldn't help but seethe with anger as she balled up her hands until all her knuckles had turned pale with the force.
