Emile received a system notification after his strength surpassed 100.
[Please set a Strength Skill buff]
He saw a list of different things he could set. Whenever a stat reached 100, the player would get a buff from that stat.
Emile could increase his overall strength stat by 3% or increase his attack against players by 5%. He could also increase the amount of damage he did to a mob. There were even specifics for boss mobs.
[Deal 10% extra damage to Great Chief ranked monsters]
Emile asked his party about which buff to choose.
"I got a system notification that told me to pick a buff. It gave me a long list which I'll send to you guys. What do you think is the best buff?" Emile asked.
The others looked through the buff and used a methodical process to look for the best option.
"You don't fight players all the time. We fight bosses at random times, so having a specific buff for them wouldn't be helpful. The mob buff would be a good choice. The overall is also good." Scarlet Sunset analyzed the information and eliminated a few options.
She was smarter than she looked.
Nimble Rod felt the same amount of confusion when looking at the list so he wasn't helpful. He stood there listening to the other's insights.
"I think you should get the overall buff, the PvE is the most useful to you but sometimes you have to battle lots of players like that one time you fought against 60 players." Scarlet Sunset said with looks of admiration.
"How do you know about that?" Emile asked.
"Someone recorded it and posted it on the forums. That's when I saw you for the first time." Scarlet Sunset said.
Emile didn't know if anyone recorded him trying to challenge 200 players.
No one recorded him. He was outside of the village which didn't have many random players. The guild also stopped people from sticking around in the location, so it was less likely for someone to record him.
"I agree with her. You should get the overall buff." Flower Queen said. She didn't want to agree with her, but her reasoning was logical.
"All right," Emile selected the overall buff.
"You guys can continue grinding here," Emile said.
"I want to enter the city and see if I get any rewards for being first," Emile continued.
Emile let them do their own thing before heading to Song Village. He had to be sneaky since Emile assumed that those players from the guild might be there.
Emile thought about the best course of actions. He would head to the Chief's home to find out how to teleport to a city.
The teleporter didn't give him the option to teleport to a city. He had to do something first.
Emile assumed that the Chief would give him something to activate the teleporter's function.
Emile sneaked around. He tried to be calm when players walked passed him. He didn't want them to recognize him.
Emile should have worn a cloak, but he didn't think of this. Emile walked straight towards the Chief's home. Some players recognized him. They weren't from the guild.
The guild seemed to have left. They discerned that it would waste resources if they continued waiting. They only waited for a few more hours until they gave up.
Wasting of resources would cause the guild to fall behind other guilds. They had one chance to kill Emile and get information out of him but they failed.
Emile didn't know the guild's name, so he couldn't get revenge on them.
Emile knocked on the Chief's door.
"Oh, it's you. Come in." The Chief invited into his home.
Emile entered his home and requested to teach him about entering a city.
"How do you enter a city," Emile asked after sitting on his sofa.
"A city? You've become strong enough?" The Chief questioned with shock. He sat on his chair.
"Yes," Emile said.
"Hmm... let me identify you first." The Chief didn't believe his words since it seems too quick to get so strong.
He took out an item and used it on Emile.
"Wow, I'm genuinely surprised. It's only been a week and you're already this strong," The Chief complimented Emile after identifying him.
"Thanks," Emile said.
"Use this to enter a city. If you have this item, the City option in the teleporter will appear. This means you can go to a city now." The Chief said as he brought out another item.
It was a small ticket.
City Pass
A ticket given to worthy adventures.
Usage: Allows the player to teleport to a random city.
As Emile was reaching his hand out to take the item, the Chief took the item back.
"Wait, since you're the first person in my village to head to a city, I'll give you another type of ticket." The Chief said as he took back the ticket.
He took out another ticket that was golden.
Emile took the item from his hand and identified it.
Golden City Pass
Only the first adventurer to leave the village get this ticket of glory.
Usage: Allows the user to pick a city. Increases fame by 250.
The only difference was that he gets 250 fame and he could pick the city to start in.
"Thank you for all your help," The Chief said to Emile.
"I'll give you this medallion for being so helpful," The Chief gave him a gift for all his help.
??? Medallion
Rank:???
It was a small medallion with a faded letter A on it.
"Could you tell me what to do with these medallions," Emile asked after seeing it was identical to his other two medallions.
"The Adventure Guild hid 6 medallions throughout the world. Luck can find two of them. They gave all the Village Chief's one medallion. As soon as I give you this item, the other Village Chief's lose the medallion. They entrusted us to give this medallion to a worthy person." The Chief explained.
"You can hand the six medallions to the adventure guild to get a strong class." He continued.
"Would these medallions be accepted," Emile asked. He showed him the other two medallions he had.
The Chief's eyes dilated. He was wide-eyed. He knew how challenging it was to get these items were.
"Where did you get these," he asked.
"I got them from some Lucky Boxes," Emile said.
"Those are the two they inserted into the lucky boxes. This means that the only ones left are from the Adventure Guild quests." The Chief said after thinking.
"Adventure Guild quests?" Emile asked.
"Yes. The Adventure guild gave out challenging quests for adventurers to complete. The rewards for these quests were those medallions. Two of them are from luck. One from being a good helper. And three from completing challenging missions. They used these medallions to find a strong, capable, and helpful person to gain a good class." The Chief said.
"Thank you for the information," Emile thanked him after receiving the information. He knew this was a good opportunity to get a hidden class.
