To be honest, Dye did not expect the soldier to come so quickly either. Thankfully, Roderick had already changed out of his clothes, otherwise he would be the most eye-catching moneybag in the patrol squad's eyes.
Well, Roderick was an imperial soldier, and if one helped an imperial soldier, one would be rewarded handsomely by the King of Emeron Kingdom. Dye didn't help Roderick for this purpose though. She just wanted the Red Horned Charcoal Stallion.
'What a waste of time...,' Dye sighed.
"You, the average girl in the bunch!"
'Me?'
"Are you talking about me, sir?" Dye respectfully asked. She was unwilling to be called average, but in her group, she was the...most...average it seemed.
"Of course, you are in a group of beautiful men, and you're the only one looking so plain and normal...figured that you're the leader of this weird bunch!" The patrol soldier swung his sword around, and there wasn't any skill or sword skill used.
'Honestly, did I make all soldiers this useless?' Dye thought, 'but one strike can cause irrefutable damage...'
Really, one strike would give you [Red Blood] status. Two strikes would give you a decrease in EXP...
The soldier would never relent until the pursued died.
'City guards has to be formidable...no matter how many people there were...and how string they are...,' Dye thought.
"So, what makes this good sir come to us?" Dye asked, using a bit of flattery. It wasn't a sin to use flattery, in fact it would work several times...
"Flattery, you think that will work on me, heh, girl?"
...if you're a beauty.
Dye had never complained having a plain face that people might pass by without hesitation, but she sure did want to complain about being...ignored like this...
"No, I'm not flattering you, it's just common courtesy," Dye said, gritting her teeth a little. Though the soldiers of Vrenze City was just too stupid...to continue angering her. In the end, she had prevailed this heavy task.
"Anyways, let us check your things first!"
...
The guard took the bags that were available, but didn't find anything valuable, so they had to admit that Dye and the beauties were just some poor chaps. When in reality, everything was inside Dye's inventory. Convenient right? A space completely different from a space ring or a space necklace, a fool-proof storage!
The guard just had to be disappointed, Dye's group's technology had surpassed all being's wonder. Unless one passed the mountain ridge and somehow find an advanced clan or city. It was impossible for Hyouka to own a populace with high technology like Dye's.
Well, the game interface was bound to Dye after all.
Even though Dye was the average girl in the group, she was the most dangerous one. If given time to grow, Ynoir estimated that she would be even more powerful than him, or even anyone in Hyouka (well, she IS the creator).
The guard eyed them a little. They weren't dressed all that extravagantly, due to Dye's 'low profile' lectures. They didn't mind dressing like this though. It did help them keep a low profile...
Their statuses were not normal in the first place, especially Ynoir.
One thing that irked Dye even more, was when the guard took off his helmet (supposed to be a sign that he trusted the group), the guard was actually beyond average!!!
She did her best to design Hyouka, making almost everyone handsome and beautiful, yet in the end, she was the most...average one...
'Mrs. Lin, I admire you now!'
THUMBS UP!
...
"You guys want to enter the city right?" the guard seathed his sword, "follow me, I'll bring you to the patrol squad's camp first, it'll take you about 2 Pos to go to Vrenze City from there."
Well, Dye didn't make the wrong judgement, the guard was indeed really helpful.
