Hono Kaen, even in his past life, had never fought before. He just went on a rampage, precisely why he fought so sloppily (although Dye and company did not have an easy fight with this 'sloppy fighter'). Dye had been persuading Hono Kaen to train his skills, although the current Hono Kaen was still very powerful, way much more powerful than the three of them combined, thanks to his skill Reflect. Though, if only he would learn how to use the skill properly.
Since Hono Kaen had never trained how to fight before, he was a bit afraid when Dye asked him to spar.
"S-spar?" Hono Kaen stuttered, "Do you hate me, mom?"
"Can you stop with this mom thing?" Dye's eye twitched. To be honest, she knew that Kaen was nothing but 'innocent'. Though it seemed as if he was programmed to call whoever took the egg 'mom'.
And she was the only one who could take the egg so easily.
Just great.
"The sissy is afraid I see~," Lin Mao said in a sing-song voice, "I thought you would be very powerful, but who knew that you're such a sissy in reality~"
"I'm not a sissy, I'm merely powerless! How could you force someone as powerless as me?" Kaen wailed. At least, that sounded better than his whale of a cry before.
"I, of all people, saw how much potential you have," Dye declared, "do you not believe me, Kaen?"
"I-I do believe you," Kaen replied meekly, "but I don't think I am suited for battle, fighting. You know how I am before, when I got beserk and nearly destroyed your village."
Dye sighed as she rubbed the bridge of her nose, "that doesn't mean that you are unable to train and improve. That's precisely why I'm here. To help you."
Kaen shook his head left and right, "I don't think I will ever be able to fight. The battlefield is scary. You don't know anything about the world beyond this village."
'Actually, I do,' Dye thought, 'but if I tell you that I do and prove it to you that I do, won't Ynoir and Lin Mao get suspicious? I mean, I only know lots of things because I'm the creator of this world!'
"Whatever is outside in this world, we will face it together, me, you, Ynoir, and Lin Mao," Dye assured, "and we'll figure it out together."
"Won't it be easier if we are stronger?"
Kaen felt blessed to land into Dye's hands (not that the system would give him to someone else other than Dye). He was grateful that Dye was caring, and wanted to help with his insecurity. To dragons, insecurity meant weakness, a failure of one of them. Perhaps it was one of the reasons why Kaen ran away and got beserk in the first place.
"Yeah, maybe I should," Kaen whispered, " you know, get stonger."
"Wow! Dye how can you do that! I tried, I don't know how much I did, but I can never make him get out of his sissy shell and go practice! You're basically a goddess!" Lin Mao slapped Dye's back who in turn glared at the brown haired male.
"If only you tried to become nicer and make some effort to be nice to him, you could," Dye snapped, "and don't think you can get out of stealing my condiments again."
"I'm sorry Dye!"
Meanwhile, Dye was scolding Lin Mao, Ynoir silently led Kaen to the training area while pitying Lin Mao in his mind, 'I have told you not to steal her condiments...'
Well, he got what he deserved, who told him to steal what was not his?
