Healing Roderick wasn't as easy as it seemed. Although the wound looked as if it could be healed so easily, healing him would probably take a lot of effort. Probably would take a lot of high grade herbs. That was why it was essential that they brought Roderick with them first.
"Come with us first," Dye said, "get on the horse."
The high grade mount was also a horse, however it was nothing compared to the Red Horned Charcoal Stallion. This was why healing Roderick wouldn't be such an easy task. If it was THAT easy, why would the reward be something great?
According to her designs, not only had Roderick damaged his internal organs, he was also poisoned. She still remembered that the herbs needed were rare, especially inside the mountain ridge. They were even rarer than the Fire Star Herb.
'What should I do? In the game, it doesn't matter how long they take, because Roderick would always be there, crouching down and holding his stomach. The system also didn't specify how many herbs I have to find, because I still haven't figured out what poison it is!' Dye thought, 'let's surpress his poison first!'
Dye used Elemental Recovery on Roderick to temporarily surpress the poison. She didn't know how long it would be surpressed or how long Roderick could hold on with the slight pain on his abdomen. Dye decided that the group should stop there for a while.
"I'll make some chicken soup for our injured friend, you guys can roast the wild rabbits with this condiment," she threw the group a bottle labeled 'Barbeque'.
The boys immediately took a spoonful and dissolved it with water before lathering it over the skinned rabbits before roasting them. A delicious aroma wafted to the currently unconcious Roderick's nose as he slowly woke up.
"How are you feeling?" Dye asked Roderick who was eyeing Lin Mao (who was probably the only person in the group of boys who can roast food).
"Not too good, but I don't feel uncomfortable," Roderick waved his arms, "are you the one that saved me?"
"Everyone in the group did," Dye replied, shoving a bowl of chicken soup into Roderick's hands, "Ynoir took off your heavy armor. Finish that bowl of soup first before you can eat some barbeque."
'Barbeque? What's that?' Roderick was a bit confused at the term Dye used to call 'roasted rabbit covered in brown sauce'.
The chicken soup was warm and nice. After finishing it, he felt as if he had regained his strength. as promised, Dye gave him a piece of 'barbeque'. It looked delicious, so Roderick ate it without hesitation. Roderick was probably a person who trusted people so easily...
'He didn't even question out motive for saving him...,' Dye looked at Roderick, who was busy chewing on the 'barbeque'.
"Oh my Saint Louie! This 'barbeque' is miraculous!" Roderick exclaimed, "I feel the poison healing inside of me, disappearing bit by bit! This miss, what did you use in this 'barbeque'?"
Dye was sure that the sauce was made out of normal herbs, how did it became an antidote?
"Ynoir, the rabbit is a normal rabbit right?" Dye asked.
"Of course."
Dye's head hurt. In the end, she opened the ingredients panel for the barbeque sauce and immediately took notice of a herb.
[Blood-Heart Flower]
[The Blood-Heart Flower will give off a faintly spicy taste, and can cure most poisons, as long as they're surpressed by highly concentrated elemental energy.]
...
She definitely didn't put Blood-Heart Flower into the herbs database, which meant that the system added this Blood-Heart Flower into Hyouka. But why would such a miraculous herb be inside the mountain ridge? Was there something in this 'beginner's area' that she had never found out?
She was sure that in the game, this 'beginner's area' was nothing special.
Why would it suddenly become special? Was there something unheard of by the masses? Something that should be found? Something...mysterious?
She was sure that the 'beginner's area' was ordinary.
She was sure that Hyouka originally didn't change much.
But now, she was unsure of her judgement.
How different was Hyouka, to the Hyouka she once knew?
