"Hmph," Julian harrumphed, " You might win this time, but you won't win again! I'll become stronger and come look for you to claim my man again."
How quick did Lin Mao's status jump in Julian's eyes? First, he only wanted Lin Mao as a boy-toy, now he wanted Lin Mao as a man, it was honestly a bit too fast....
"Actually, if you do want to be near him that bad, you can join this group. I assure you, m-Dye is the best cook there ever was! And there's also lots of bonuses joining this group as well!" Kaen immediately promoted the group, earning a few weird glances from Julian's underlings. They could feel that Kaen was not human, and might be more powerful than them, so they didn't dare provoke him.
Julian raised an eyebrow as he carefully thought, "if I join, will I ever be left out?"
From the earlier exchange, everyone could see that Julian, was bent. Also the reason why Julian was a Bandit Leader. If Dye even remembered, Ponto was the name of Vrenze City's most renowned family. But Dye didn't have a super memory, only a photographic one and she wouldn't remember everything.
"The group is under my command, and anyone in my group will be cerished by me, once they have proven their worth to me," Dye said, "but, even if you're only in my group by name, you will never be left out."
'Because I have felt that feeling before...,'
"Liang Feifei!"
Dye immediately shuddered when she had the flashback, her shoulders trembled a little.
"We, Liang family, is a family of great people. We even once ruled over a state!" an old lady said, "and you said that you want to study technology? How can you be a disgrace?"
If not for the fact that the Old Man found the Liang family history when he was surfing the internet, none of these wouldn't have happened. However, only the younger generation got the short end of the stick.
"I'm sorry mother, but it's my choice!" Liang Feifei tried to persuade the old lady, who in turn spat on the ground.
"You have no right to stay in this family!"
Dye was ripped out of her flashback by a pair of red eyes staring at her. Worry was swimming inside the pair of eyes...startling Dye as she shot fell onto the eyes' owner.
"Dye! Dye! Are you okay?" Ynoir looked at the girl, who was slightly trembling.
"I-I'm okay," Dye replied, straightening herself as she regained her composure. Her eyes held something different from before. Something that she had never thought of, something that she had never felt ever since she left her so-called home.
She felt fear.
"Ai, ai, girls are in the end, fearful creatures," Julian sighed, "Edrick, I'll leave the Gang to you, I will come back one day, and bring you guys to greater heights."
"Yes Leader," the one named Edrick saluted as Julian stepped down from his stallion.
"I will now join your group," Julian said, "and the one thing I hate the most is my teammates betraying me. I hope you will never do that."
Dye smiled, "Teams were supposed to be loyal, Obnoxious Bandit Leader."
Julian's eye twitched, "Alright! Alright! I get it! I overestimated myself, but that doesn't mean I'm obnoxious!"
Dye chuckled before taking out a leaf scroll. On it was the map she purposefully copied in case they had to ask for directions (there's no way Dye would show the existence of the system to literally everyone). At the moment Julian received the leaf scroll, him and his whole gang's name turned green, indicating that they had become friendly NPCs.
"We're going to Vrenze City, do you know how to get there fast?"
