In the woods outside of Riven, there were two elders walking towards town with angered expressions on their faces.
"D*mn patriarch! He may want to give up on the treasure, but I won't!"
Kicking a stone into a nearby stream that was 500 meters away, an elder in a green robe spoke.
"He has a point though, we can't do anything to that d*mn old woman, so how can we get the treasure?"
Spoke one of the elders, wearing blue robes as he watched an eagle hunting kilometers away as he let out a sigh.
These were the elders the old man eavesdropped on earlier.
The green robed elder, looked at the blue robed elder, "Do you have the blood burning pill?"
Hearing what the green robed elder asked the blue robed elder looked shocked, "Are you crazy!? The blood burning pill will exhaust your life force, at worst it will permanently damage your longevity! Your life is more important than a treasure!"
Hearing this the green robed elder stopped walking as he turned and looked at the blue robed elder, "The treasure is very important to the clan's future, I can't possibly give it up!"
The blue robed elder froze at this moment, as he looked at the green robed elder's eyes he could see a malicious light flickering in his eyes, as killing intent billowed outwards.

Out of instinct the blue robed elder dashed backwards 5 meters in the blink of an eye, "You! You will kill a member of your clan!?"
"Kekeke! We need that treasure, if I have to sacrifice your life, so be it!"
After saying this the green robed elder dashed forward leaving afterimages, as he struck out with his palm.
Seeing the approaching palm accompanied by the howling wind sounding like an enraged tiger, the blue robed elder's pupils dilated.

The blue robed elder's fist collided with the green robed elders palm.
A shockwave blasted outwards and trees snapped, as cracks spread across the ground.
Accompanied by the sounds of explosions and the roars of tigers, the two elders kept appearing and disappearing as they left afterimages of their battle in the surroundings.

Separating at a high speed, both elders stumbled backwards as they spat mouthfuls of blood.
"Why? Don't you value friendship? WE ARE BASICALLY BROTHERS!"
The blue robed elder coughed up blood as he yelled towards the green robed elder.
"Kekeke!"
Laughing, the green robed elder wiped the blood off of the corner of his mouth as he started to walk towards the blue robed elder.
The wind started to pick up speed as dark clouds formed and lightning flickered in the sky, blowing dust and debris everywhere.
"Do you think I'll value friendship over power? Do you think you know me? Kekeke!"
As the green robed elder reached a distance of 5 meters from the blue robed elder, the blue robed elder made some hand signs, as he started gathering qi.
'Why? We were brothers, is it that important that you gain glory from acquiring the treasure and strengthening the clan?'
Lightning flickered in the distance as it lit up the surroundings, highlighting the approaching green robed elder, as the wind started to howl.
"Why!?"
The blue robed elder yelled as he thrust his palm towards the green robed elder, in the air a blue palm print formed in the as it headed towards the green robed elder.
Sneering, the green robed elder looked at the palm print heading towards him with arcs of lightning flickering around it.

Debris scattered in the surroundings as a crater gradually formed between them.
"You think your lightning palm can defeat me? You have stagnated, but I grew stronger, kekeke!"
Seeing this, the blue robed elder decided to retreat.
"kekeke!"
Seeing the blue robed elder attempt to retreat, the green robed elder pulled a half meter long crimson needle from his sleeve, as he threw it towards the blue robed elder.
Looking behind him as he ran the blue robed elder's face turned pale in fear, behind him was a crimson needle with a flickering red qi surrounding it as it headed in his direction.
"Life absorption flying needle!"
Gritting his teeth the blue robed elder summoned all of his power as a barrier appeared around him.
He was determined to give his all to survive!

The blue robed elder was sent flying 1000 kilometers through the woods as he was nailed to a small mountain, a trail of destruction was formed as the trees in the woods collapsed into a 900 kilometer ravine!
The green robed elder appeared in front of the blue robed elder in a flash.
Looking at the blue robed elder gasping for breath, the green robed elder sneered as a red string of qi extended from the life absorption flying needle, and connected to his body.
The blue robed elder vomited blood as he felt his life force being drained, and the remaining years of his life rapidly decline.
"You.."
The green robed elder hit a pressure point on the blue robed elder, causing him to fall silent.
"Don't say anything, it's pointless. I'm not stupid, why would I burn my own life force, and risk ruining my longevity when I can use an external source?"
Seeing the blue robed elder's body start to turn to ashes, the green robed elder sighed, reaching into the blue robed elder's robes, he pulled out a vial with a crimson red pill.
