Feeling death closing in on her, Aunty Leah used all her power!
"Guqin of the demoness!"
Bursting forth with all her power, a red guqin materialized into thin air, emanating an aura of death and the scent of sulfur!
"Melody of the demoness's wrath!"
When the guqin materialized, Aunty Leah used her trump card, one of her strongest attack music.
The song that played, was a tale of a demoness who fell in love, a demoness who gave her heart to only be betrayed, a demoness who made him suffer her wrath.
There were feelings of love and happiness.
Feelings of heartbreak and despair.
Feelings of hatred and rage.
The demoness's wrath.
The darkness shuddered as soundwaves spread through the room, the flame in the distance flickered as if blown on by a strong wind.
The old man, witnessing this, paled in fear, 'This.. Using sound? The hardest thing to defend from? D*mn! I had no idea she cultivated attack music!'
Seeing the soundwaves spreading outwards, heading in his direction, the old man summoned a barrier to defend himself from the sound.
A barrier appeared around him as it wobbled and shook like a like the waves in a lake.
Not too solid, not too soft, just right to help cancel out the sound.
"Kekeke! You think this can take me down!?"
The sound from the guqin connected with the barrier and caused it to ripple like the ocean during a storm.
Aunty Leah shuddered as she started to collapse, the purple flame was only a few steps from her, it moved closer as it started to drain her vitality.
The flickering of the flame in the darkness intensified, as it got closer and closer to her.
The air started to ripple as a silver barrier appeared around her, slowing the drain on her vitality.
Pop!
The barrier around the old man, popped, like a giant bubble, causing him to be hit by the sound of the guqin.
The sound struck him, as shattering sounds echoed from his body, countless defensive treasures shattered in his robes, as the pieces fell to the ground.
His body shuddered as he attempted to make a few hand signs, the sound penetrated his body at it vibrated his organs vibrated his bones, and boiled his blood, his brain started hemorrhaging because of the vibrations.
Cough!
The old man coughed blood as he tried to direct the vibrations out of his body, causing the floorboards beneath him to shatter, and the ground beneath the floorboards to start to cave.
The old man sunk a few meters into the ground as the vibrations caused him to drill into the earth.
Aunty Leah's face went pale, her hair started to go white, and her skin started to wrinkle.
Her barrier couldn't help her anymore, 'Young master.. I can't come and see you because of this d*mned barrier, I would've escaped by now if it wasn't here'
As her body weakened she could hardly stand up anymore, she started to build up any remaining power she had.
She wanted to deal as much damage as possible to the old man.
At this moment, she could only think back to the day she was walking through the woods.
The day she found Ren.
It was a dark night, there were storm clouds gathering in the sky partially concealing the moon.
There happened to be a cold chilly wind that night.
Aunty Leah was walking through the woods, looking for any spiritual herbs that have been concealed by nature.
She looked in the hollows of trees, she looked under boulders weighing thousands of kilograms.
She looked through the woods, and could only remain empty handed.
At that moment, the wind picked up even more, the temperature in the surroundings dropped. She ignored this as she started to head back, when she saw a flash of light.
The light gave her a sense of danger, the feeling was like the descent of a god of legends, a true god, one born into godhood.
The aura made one feel as if it was only normal to kneel in admiration and fear.
She couldn't help but head into the direction of that flash of light, there was a warm feeling in her heart that called her over.
It was as if, the moment she goes over there, she will have a fortuitous encounter, she will be happy.
She felt that this was weird, she has always been a cold woman, very strict, she never allowed herself to take a break from work.
She has long forgot the meaning of happiness.
The feeling pulled her closer.
After several minutes she walked into a clearing, there was a silence in this clearing, not even crickets could be heard.
As if everything was planned before hand, there was a flash of lightning that broke the silence, followed by the cry of a baby.
The storm clouds in the sky grew darker as the wind picked up, after the baby started crying, it was as if the heavens could feel the baby's sorrow, causing heavy rain to start falling from the sky.
Aunty Leah walked towards the center of the clearing towards a bundle on the ground.
Picking up the bundle, one could see a baby, shiny black eyes, and dark hair, the baby gave off a feeling of divinity.
Aunty Leah looked closely at the baby, noticing fresh blood on the face of the baby.
She gently wiped off the blood, before the rain could wash it onto the bundle.
She dug around the bundle and let out grin as she shielded the baby from the rain.
"Haha, little boy, you came just in time, the master died too young, he didn't have any children."
That baby was Ren.
Five years later, when Aunty Leah was looking at Ren's bundle, a jade badge fell out of a torn corner.
A projection came out as the badge hit the floor.
In the projection there was a middle aged couple, the man was covered in injuries as he lifted up a large saber.
He was looking at a barrier that was being attacked by countless people, qi and weapons were being sent from all directions.
The middle aged woman looked worried as she handed a stack of talismans to the man.
The both started speaking from the projection.
"Ijazil, our son, seeing this means we have been dead long ago"
After speaking the middle aged woman started to cry, the middle aged man spoke next,
"Ijazil, you need to know we didn't abandon you, father and mother love you, you're the most special thing that has happened in our lives. Ijazil, we are sorry we couldn't be there for you, but you must remember. Never be afraid to show your power, never hide your strength, never hide your talent. We won't tell you the name of the family that you have come from. Discover that yourself. But me and your mother will say this to you, be that tree that stands the tallest, but, be the one to cut down others. Your from a race of warriors, we fear nothing, we don't fear death, if we want revenge, we'll cut down all that stand in our way! Be they the Gods, the Demons, or the Buddah, even if their power is far above ours, we will cut them down!"
While speaking, the middle aged man started to shed tears, the middle aged couple kissed as they faced the direction of the barrier.
The middle aged woman spoke, "Ijazil, remember what your father said, live by his words, but don't be reckless, be reckless with intelligence!"
The projection went blank after the barrier collapsed.
Seeing this projection, Aunty Leah thought back to the blood on Ren's face.
The feeling in her heart that she has been feeling since then, grew stronger.
She decided to let him see this when he was older, it seemed there was other stuff in the jade badge.
It needed blood to access the rest, only the intended individual can open the rest.
She decided, she'll raise him as her own!
She'll protect him at the cost of her life!
Even if there is a slightest chance he'll be in danger, she will stake her life to remove future trouble!
From that day on, her icy heart melted.
She spent as much time with Ren that she could after that day, she refused to let the other maids spend time with him.
She fed him, she taught him, she trained him in mortal martial arts.
She even found a sweet girl for him to marry in the future.
Even when he got older, she tried to spend as much time as possible with him, she wanted him to always have a mother figure in his heart.
She wanted him to call her mother, that was her only wish.
Even though that's what she wanted, she decided that even being called "Aunty" was good enough.
She wanted him to never suffer.
But she knew, that life, doesn't always go the way you'd wish.
Ren started to change, that day, she realized, that she can't watch him forever.
Her little bird, has grown wings.
----
Cough!
Aunty Leah coughed as she fell to the ground kneeling, her body shook as she resisted the drain of her vitality.
At this rate, even if she escaped, she would have a day at most before she died.
Bang!
From the whole in the ground, dirt and rocks exploded outwards as dust filled the darkness, a blast of qi destroyed the summoned guqin.
"D*mn woman! I'll kill you!"
A violent purple aura exploded outwards as the purple flame brightened even further.
Aunty Leah coldly laughed in her heart, 'You say you'll kill me? Isn't that what you were aiming for in the beginning!?'
A devilish aura burst outwards with Aunty Leah in the center.
The surroundings shook as dirt, wooden planks, tables, and dishes started to flat in the air.
The ground beneath her exploded as she stood back up, this action caused her to vomit blood.
Her vitality is already at her limits, this attack, is the strongest in her life.
The old man's robes fluttered as his aura gathered in front of him, the sound of tortured souls echoed in the surroundings.
"Heaven's rejection, hell's feast!"
Boom!
A demonic qi blasted throughout the room as ghostly hands reached from the darkness, grabbing towards Aunty Leah.
"The demoness's final song!"
A blast of energy surged outwards as Aunty Leah started to sing, the song, contained limitless sorrow, immense heart break.
Wishes ungranted.
Duties unfulfilled.
Grieving at the coming end.
A candle flickering in the darkness, extinguished by the wind.
Tears streamed down her face.
The surge of energy clashed with the old man, destroying the barrier and tearing down several houses in the surroundings, as the demolished buildings lifted into the air.
The ghostly hands grabbed Aunty Leah as her song ended, they grabbed her arms, her legs, and her head.
They started to pull.
The old man could only laugh at the song, 'What can this pathetic song do? Lull me to sleep?"
"Kekeke! D*mn you! How dare you injure me! I'm going to enjoy this!"
The old man's eyes glowed red infury, as he yelled at her, "F*ck the knowledge on your technique!"
"Execute!"
The man flapped his sleeves as he ordered the hands to finish.
The sounds of limbs being torn off with brute force echoed through the room as blood sprayed everywhere.
Aunty Leah was to weak to even scream, as the agonizing pain brought darkness to her eyes.
Right leg.
Left leg.
Right arm.
Left arm.
Her limbs were slowly torn off one by one, the old man could only laugh as if he was enjoying a good show.
With blood pooling around her, Aunty Leah could only think one last thought as she felt a pulling force on her head.
'Young master, I was to afraid, to afraid to say this'
As the sound of tearing flesh resumed, a weak and feeble voice could be heard.
"I…. l..l..l.. love you… my son"
Back at the house, Ren sat up in bed with tears running down his face as he looked in the direction of the restaurant with a confused look on his face, without thinking, before he fell back to sleep again, he muttered, "Mother.."
Shrack!
The old man sighed as he looked at the surroundings.
"I have to find a new place to stay again"
The old man started to walk away before people arrived, after about ten steps, his body shook.
Cough!
Cough!
Cough!
The old man fell to the ground as he coughed up mouthfuls of blood, his ears, eyes, and nose were spraying blood.
He felt his vitality get severed into a 1/10th of what it was originally.
He paled in fear.
"D*mn woman! I won't allow you to reincarnate!"
Standing up weakly, he waved his hands, and a silver orb was sucked into his hands.
Shatter!
He crushed the orb without any hesitation, with a furious look, he could only turn to leave the town.
He'll return later, after he recovers.
