Pa! Pa!
Silent footsteps could be heard if I strained my ears hard enough, they seemed to be coming towards my direction. Fearing the worst I shielded my ears and closed my eyes as I waited for Death to claim my soul; with my heart thumping loudly in my ears I could hear nothing but the sound of my own panting breaths as absolute terror overwhelmed me.
Before long a blinding light had taken me hostage and stolen my sight long with my last hope of remaining unnoticed by the people, who would surely kill me once they lay eyes on my horrible form.
THUD!
The covering of my cage had fallen from my soon-to-be executioners fingers and the sharp intake of breath had me wondering if they noticed my deformity as my father once did.
By the time I had gotten used to the brightness of the room, someone had bent down to my level and blocked some of the light. Staring into a beautiful pair of red eyes, I looked at this mans face and everything around him and noticed others standing at a corner of the room watching me and the man in front of me.
When the man in front of me moved, I curled up even more than i already was and tried to make myself seem even smaller as if it would stop beating that's bound to leave me breathless with pain. I could not the tremble in limbs as I felt someone lift me like I weigh nothing nor could I stop the whimpers that escape my lips, even though I'm desperately trying to stifle them with my hands.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm not going to hurt nor will anybody else in this room." A deep, soothing voice sounded out above me whispering soft reassurances as a black darkness stole my awareness.
