Kellen Celric, born a noble with the Mark of Demons. Kellen isn't like his noble house of prestigious mages with power far beyond that of which Kellen could ever hope to reach in 3 lifetimes. 
Kellen is dealing with a problem without answers, the connection with demons has ruined his life without him even knowing. Kellen has to pass an exam, to be accepted as a real mage at the prestigious academy of Storm Griffin.
Kellen has a little problem his magic is fading and the exam is in 2 months. Because of this Kellen has during his spare time, from his apprenticeship as a Hex-tech Engineer, been searching high and low for answers. But no one will help a bearer of the Mark of Demons and so Kellen has turned to the loud resounding voice in his head.
"Do we have a deal, Kellen?"
