Chapter 9 - First day at school

It was a beautiful morning—the sky was clear, the air was crisp, and the sun bathed the city in golden light.

A perfect day for school.

And Noa hated it.

He hated everything about this day.

Because today was his first day at Paradise Academy.

 The Great Escape Attempt

Vita, on the other hand, was bouncing with excitement.

She had woken up extra early, gotten dressed, and was waiting eagerly to go to school with her adorable little brother.

But there was just one problem.

Noa was missing.

She searched the house. No Noa.

She checked the backyard. Still no Noa.

She even went to the smithy. Nothing.

Then, suddenly, she remembered.

There was one place left.

The Darkest Corner of the House

In the darkest, most hidden part of their home, Noa sat frozen in silence.

His breathing was shallow.

His heartbeat was slow.

He didn't move an inch.

Because if he made even the tiniest noise… he would be found.

And then—

BANG!

The door slammed open.

A terrifying, fuming Vita stood in the doorway.

She had found him.

A cold sweat ran down Noa's back as he stared at his sister in horror.

"Oh, my dear little brother," Vita said with a sickly sweet smile.

"Did you really think you could hide from me?"

Noa gulped. "S-Sis—"

SMASH. SMASH.

Vita dragged him out, ignoring his weak protests.

Edward, watching from the side, chuckled and said, "If you were gonna help him hide, at least pick a place Vita doesn't know."

Anna sighed and added, "That was the hiding spot Vita showed him."

The two adults laughed as Noa was mercilessly dragged toward his doom.

 The Gates of Hell

Standing before the massive gates of Paradise Academy, Noa looked up at the towering structure and felt his soul leave his body.

The school was huge.

The elegant, fortress-like buildings made it look less like an academy and more like a castle for an evil demon king.

Noa groaned.

"Is this the castle of the damned Demon King?"

SMASH.

Vita smacked him on the head.

"Shut up and walk inside."

Noa grumbled, rubbing his head.

"The heiress of the Demon King is furious…"

Muttering under his breath, he took his first step into the academy.

And just like that—his nightmare had begun.

As Noa reluctantly walked through the grand gates of Paradise Academy, Vita proudly puffed up her chest and started her speech.

"Listen well, Noa! You are now stepping into one of the best academies in the whole world!"

Noa groaned. "Yay… how exciting…"

Ignoring him, Vita continued, her eyes sparkling with pride.

The Grand Legacy of Paradise Academy

"This academy has a rich history of producing the strongest warriors, mages, and scholars!" she boasted.

"It is the only academy in the world that trains all major disciplines:

• Auras Knights – warriors who enhance their bodies with auras, turning themselves into human weapons.• Magicians – masters of the arcane arts, capable of casting destructive and reality-bending spells.• Alchemists – brilliant minds who craft potions, transmute elements, and create magical artifacts.• Spiritualists – those who form bonds with spirits, summoning them for battle or guidance.• Elementalists – individuals who wield the raw power of fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, and ice.• Swordmasters – elite warriors who dedicate their lives to mastering the sword to its absolute limit!"Noa blinked. "...And what about normal students?"

Vita smirked. "They either survive… or drop out."

Noa felt his soul tremble.

 The Most Powerful Leaders

"But wait, there's more!" Vita continued, dramatically raising her hand.

"The Principal of Paradise Academy is an Archmage!"

"An Archmage?" Noa repeated, confused.

"A Rank 8 mage, one of the highest in the world!" Vita explained. "Only a handful of people reach that level!"

Noa gulped. "And the Vice Principal…?"

Vita grinned. "A Rank 8 Master Swordsman."

Noa nearly tripped over his own feet.

"Wait, wait, wait. You're telling me that both the Principal and Vice Principal are two of the strongest people in the world?!"

"Yep!" Vita said cheerfully. "And they're not the only ones!"

 A School Unlike Any Other

Vita then dragged Noa around the academy, showing off everything with great enthusiasm.

• The Grand Library, filled with ancient tomes and forbidden knowledge.• The Training Fields, where students sparred with real weapons and practiced their skills.• The Alchemy Lab, where students experimented with potions and explosions.• The Summoning Hall, where Spiritualists called forth spirits from another realm.• The Elemental Arena, a massive battleground designed to test Elementalists.Noa looked around, overwhelmed.

"Y-You call this a school…?" he muttered. "It looks like a military base combined with a research lab…"

Vita laughed, patting him on the back. "Welcome to Paradise Academy, little bro!"

Noa sighed.

He already knew this would be a disaster.
