As Vita and Noa, accompanied by Edward and Anna, walked through the grand halls of Paradise Academy, Noa couldn't help but feel nervous. Today was an important day—it was the day he would officially meet the Vice Principal and finalize his admission.
He stole glances at his sister, who was walking confidentlyahead. She had been talking about this moment for days, excited to introduce him to her old teachers. Noa, on the other hand, just wished he could run back home.
Meeting Teacher Selina
They finally arrived at the Vice Principal's office, but before they could enter, they were met by a graceful woman standing by the door.
Noa instantly recognized her from Vita's descriptions. This was Teacher Selina, the homeroom teacher for the first-year students—and someone who had taught Vita when she was a first-year herself.
As soon as Vita saw her, she lit up and rushed forward, wrapping her arms around the teacher in an excited hug.
"Teacher! I've missed you!"
Selina chuckled and hugged her back. "Oh, my good child! I missed you too."
Edward smiled warmly and bowed his head slightly in greeting. "It's good to meet you again, Teacher Selina."
Noa, following Edward's example, politely greeted the teacher as well.
However, there was one person who didn't greet her.
Anna.
Noa and Vita both turned to their mother figure in shock.
Anna, who was always kind and respectful to everyone, had completely ignored Selina's presence.
The air suddenly felt tense.
Selina sighed, crossing her arms. "You're as temperamental as ever, Anna Krisof."
Anna snorted and replied, "Have you ever seen a senior greet their junior first?"
Selina blinked before letting out a defeated sigh.
"It's my fault for not recognizing my senior first," she admitted before bowing her head slightly. "Greetings, Senior. It has been a long time."
Anna nodded in satisfaction. "Good."
Noa stared in disbelief.
'Wait, wait, wait... Mom is Selina's senior?!'
His mind was filled with questions, but before he could ask anything, Selina and Anna had already moved on to discussing Noa's admission process into Paradise Academy.
Entering the Vice Principal's Office
After confirming the details, Selina turned to Vita.
"Vita, it's time for you to go to class. I'll take care of your brother's admission."
Vita pouted but nodded. She patted Noa's shoulder and whispered, "Be good, okay? Don't embarrass me!" before skipping off to her class.
Selina then pushed open the large wooden doors and gestured for Edward, Anna, and Noa to step inside.
The moment Noa entered, he was met with a heavy, pressuring auras.
Sitting behind a grand desk, buried under stacks of paperwork, was a robust man with a sharp, commanding presence. His piercing eyes lifted from the documents and locked onto them.
"Come. Take your seats."
His voice was deep and intimidating.
Noa gulped.
This… was the Vice Principal of Paradise Academy.
Noa sat stiffly in his chair as the Vice Principal observed him with a sharp gaze. The room was heavy with authority, and Noa felt like a tiny rabbit before a powerful beast.
The Vice Principal finally set down his papers and folded his hands on the desk.
"Welcome to Paradise Academy, Noa Forger," he began, his deep voice echoing in the room. "Before we proceed with your admission, there are some important rules and regulations you must understand."
School Timings & Rules
The Vice Principal reached for a leather-bound book and flipped through its pages.
"Paradise Academy follows a strict schedule. Classes begin at sharp 7:30 AM and end at 1:30 PM. You are expected to arrive on time—latecomers will face disciplinary action."
Noa gulped. That was early.
"The Academy operates on a six-day schedule, with a half-day on the seventh day reserved for practical training, independent study, or rest."
He continued listing the rules:
• Uniform Policy: All students must wear their complete uniform at all times.• Respect & Discipline: Any form of bullying, fighting, or misconduct will result in strict punishment.• Weapon & Magic Usage: Unauthorized use of weapons or magic inside the academy premises is strictly forbidden.• Academy Grounds: The school is divided into different zones—academic halls, training grounds, library, alchemy labs, and dormitories. Certain areas are restricted to lower-year students.• Exams & Rank System: Students are graded on their combat skills, academic performance, and discipline."Failing too many tests or breaking rules may result in suspension—or worse, expulsion." The Vice Principal's sharp gaze made Noa straighten his posture.
Noa swallowed hard. 'This place is a battlefield!'
A Missing Tie & A Warning
Just as the Vice Principal was about to wrap up the discussion, his eyes narrowed slightly.
Noa felt a chill down his spine.
"Where is your tie?" the Vice Principal suddenly asked.
Noa blinked. "Huh?"
Edward and Anna turned to look at him.
"Your uniform is incomplete." The Vice Principal's voice grew stern. "Every student must wear their tie as part of the uniform. This is your first day, so I will let it slide. But if I see you without it again—you will be punished."
Noa froze.
He had completely forgotten about the tie!
Vita had been so busy dragging him to school that he hadn't even checked his uniform properly.
"Y-Yes, sir!" Noa stammered, sitting up straight.
The Vice Principal sighed. "Your sister may be a promising student, but do not think that gives you any special privilege. You must follow the same rules as everyone else, Noa Forger."
Noa nodded furiously.
Edward chuckled while Anna pinched the bridge of her nose.
Final Instructions
With a dismissive wave, the Vice Principal said, "Your class has already been assigned. Teacher Selina will take you there. Do your best."
As Noa stood up to leave, he felt like he had barely survived a war.
The moment the door closed behind them, he let out a deep sigh of relief.
"Vita never told me the Vice Principal was this scary...!" he muttered.
Selina patted his head. "Welcome to school, kid."
