Lena had just graduated and landed a job at one of the country's biggest companies. She had to relocate to the city, living alone to start her new life.
On her first day of work, Lena was ecstatic. She spent hours deciding what to wear, doing her makeup, and getting ready. In her excitement, she almost got late.
"Oh my God, I'm going to be late!" she exclaimed, rushing out the door. She hailed a cab and urged the driver to hurry.
As she arrived at the company, Lulu stepped out of the cab and gazed up at the towering building. "Oh my God, it's so big!" she breathed. "I hope I'll fit in here."
Lena's new role was to assist the CEO's secretary. She was scheduled to submit her documents today, confirming her eligibility for the job.
Lena rushed into the elevator and pressed the button for the office. As the doors opened, she met the receptionist, who looked at her with disdain.
"Can you show me to the CEO's assistant office" Lena asked, trying to sound confident.
The receptionist raised an eyebrow but led Lena to his office . She pressed the intercom and announced Lena's arrival. A deep voice came through, "Send her in."
As Lena entered the office, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Her heart skipped a beat as she took in the sight of the young ma sitting down a few inches away,. He was handsome, charming, and exuded confidence.
Lena stood there, gaping, until hiss voice broke the silence. "Are you going to come in or stand there all day?"
Lena snapped back to reality, her cheeks flushing. "Oh my God, sorry! Sorry!" She quickly took a seat.
The young man smiled and asked for her documents. As he reviewed them, Lena couldn't help but steal glances at him.
"Good, you're eligible," Max said, handing the documents back. "From today, you'll be working as my assistant."
Lena beamed with excitement. "Oh my God, thank you! Thank you!"
He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "By the way, I'm Max. And your starting work today ."
Lena's heart skipped another beat as she smiled, still in awe of her new boss.
A few minutes passed by, and it was time for lunch.
After a morning of tasks, Lena was exhausted. "Oh my God, how can I work so hard on my first day?" she wondered. Max had pilled a mountain of documents for her to go through and follow the weekly schedule.
At lunchtime, she made her way to the cafeteria, looking forward to a break. The room was buzzing with chatter and laughter, and Lena felt a bit out of place. She spotted an empty table and sat down, eating her lunch in silence.
Just as she was starting to feel like an outsider, a friendly voice broke the ice. "Hi, you must be new! I'm Priscilla, nice to meet you."
Lena smiled, grateful for the conversation. "Hi, I'm Lena. Nice to meet you."
Priscilla's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So, you're Max's new assistant? Girl, I'm jealous! That's a privilege. I wish I had the chance to see his cute face everyday ."
Lena laughed, feeling a bit more at ease. "Yeah, he's handsome, and everything...He's every girls dream Lena said blushing hardly"
Priscilla grinned mischievously. "I can imagine! You're one lucky girl, Lena!"
As they continued eating, Priscilla leaned in, a conspiratorial look on her face. "Oh my God, you haven't seen anything yet. Max is just the CEO's assistant, but the CEO... he's ten times hotter and more handsome than Max."
Lena's curiosity was piqued. "Really? Why haven't I seen him around?"
Priscilla's eyes sparkled with intrigue. "That's because he's very mysterious. He only comes to the office once in a while, and it's a big deal when he does. Seeing him is a rare privilege."
Lena's mind was racing with questions. "I see. Well, as Max's assistant, I'm sure I'll get to see him eventually."
Priscilla's expression turned wistful. "I've been working here for the past six months, and I've seen him only thrice . I've heard so many rumors about him, . You're so lucky, Lena!"
The girls continued chatting and laughing together, exchanging stories and getting to know each other better. As the lunch break came to a close, they reluctantly said their goodbyes and headed back to their respective desks.
With renewed energy and a fresh perspective, Lena dove back into her work, tackling the various tasks and responsibilities that came with being Max's assistant. Before she knew it, the day had flown by, and it was time to call it a wrap.
As she packed up her things and prepared to head home, Lena couldn't help but feel grateful for her new role and the exciting opportunities that lay ahead. She left the office feeling fulfilled and eager to take on whatever challenges tomorrow might bring.
As soon as Lena got home, she couldn't shake off the exhaustion. "I'm feeling very tired," she thought to herself, yawning.
Despite her fatigue, a smile crept onto her face as she thought about Priscilla. "God, I'm so glad I met her. She's a very nice friend."
Feeling grateful for the new connection, Lena quickly freshened up and slipped into bed. As her head hit the pillow, she let out a contented sigh and drifted off to sleep, her tiredness finally catching up with her.
